Hellraid: The Escape

I love this game It gives challenges and different types of problems you must solve The only problem I am having is it keeps crashing in the middle of chamber 7 Please fix that              Its a great game until chamber 7

As I passed seventh chamber I started playing the eighth chamber After playing it for a couple of minutes I turned off the game As I tried turning it back on after maybe an hour the screen appeared black with the only thing visible is the controller which you can use to walk as you head the footsteps but dont see anything Another thing I noticed when playing the eighth chamber the couple of minutes the I played crystals info was showing as 55 although I just started level it was also showing when you pressed pause Well thats about it Fix needed game is unplayable        Same issue as Digital Apprentice mentioned below

I was hoping for more from the reviews The mood is good and the controls are okay The puzzles vary in quality and tend toward trial and error vs being true puzzles that you have to think through The game does not reliably save your progress If you leave the game you risk having to restart a level With the touchtilt puzzles eg those involving the rolling eyeball the controls can malfunction Some of those puzzles are also too long to be anything but tediou The idea of replaying them makes me seriously consider deleting the app              Okay game

There are not enough scary games on the app store so when I saw this I jumped on it Visuals and audio work together to create a foreboding atmosphere and well hidden deathtraps and lethal puzzles keep you on edge Demon encounters are pretty freaky too since you have no weapons and have to use whats around you to kill them I did notice some glitchy moments in the first cutscene and shine on objects is way too solid making it look like shiny metal Other then those two things this game is pretty good              Disturbing action puzzler

I thought the graphics were interesting but the game is horribly designed as far as movement and motivation Objects have weird glow when you interact with them so you barely have to think Definitely not a brain teaser just a lot of fighting with your cam views and joy stick movement Much needs to be improvednot worth buying now     Horrible navigation

It continually surprises me how fast iOS games are nearing the graphical quality of console games This game looks beautiful The story would be more engrossing if there werent so many spelling errors but aside from that I have found it quite enjoyable and would recommend it and hope to see more games like this              Fun nice gfx needs proofreader

Like others I also have the problem where the second time I launch the app I just get a black screen with the joystick If I reinstall the app the same thing happens the first launch is ok after that its broken Even with a reboot        Broken

I like the theme and it looks fun to play but I got stuck on the first beam on the first level and died over and over When you die you have to start at the beginning of the level walk back to the part you got stuck at and try again And again Apparently I have no gyroscope skill and cant get across If you like puzzle but lack dexterity you may find the game too frustrating           Get stuckdie repeat

To everyone who hates this game or is having difficulties this is an awesome game The Unreal Engine is put to the test in this game On the beam you have to keep your device tilted to the right before you click the sparkles and then just keep moving it slowly back and forth and then qucikly back and forth You may have to hold the move button when you get close to the end to make sure you move off the beam or you will die The rotating wheels frustrated the heck out of me until I realized that you have to move the sword down slowly when the first cut in the wheel comes around This slows the speed of the spinning disks The only really frustrating parts are the swinging axes and chains plus the room where you have to hit the red eye with a rock and you are being chased by a dead zombie That was truly frustrating I made it to the end so it can be done I felt like I had beat the game and it felt good I was only really disappointed by the ending which I wont tell you about I think it is a great game for iOS and is really clever and beautifully executed I guess you will either hate it or like it You have to at least try the game to find out By the way if you google walkthroughs for this game you will find one I used one I found online This maker doesnt have one but a link that takes you to their site                 Nothing To Hate About This Game Awesome

It has great graphics and truly a great puzzle I like it because it doesnt take 2 minutes to complete a level Average is about 1025 minutes per floor Cant wait until more levels come Definitely worth the buy              Nice

The two new chambers are awful The puzzles make no sense I was able to do Chamber 8 but Chamber 9 is glitchy and makes no sense Other than these two levels the game is just very short and screams average in every way           Frustratingly Obtuse Puzzles

Its a great game but new update has odd error Just like what someone else said once you get up to the chess bishop part and turn off the application you get black screen with joystick and you can hear footsteps but thats it and the game will never load I had to redownload the game to fix the problem so its not so minor of an error please fix as soon as possible Thanks              Issue with new update

My wife and I spent about five minutes wrestling with the terrible movement controls before quitting in utter frustration Heres a tip for the developers who apparently have never used an iOS app before When I swipe my finger across the screen from right to left the scene should pan to the right not to the left Also using standard pinch gestures for zooming would be a hell of a lot more usable than the stupid onscreen joystick In its current state the game simply isnt playable Its a shame because the graphics are excellent     Unplayable due to bad controls

The game has beautiful graphics for a mobile app and the puzzles were decently tough Finding the crystals got a little ridiculous and almost distracted from the game not even sure what I got when I found all of them in a particular level The game itself was fun there are about 7 chambers that can be considered separate puzzles that have a range of smaller puzzles to complete the chamber The puzzles themselves are fun and tough enough for a nonpuzzle gamer but you may be bored if youre the Myth champion The storyline was a bit painful and has been done over and over and over again Ive seen this story in The Elder Scrolls BioShock and many other games Overall this game was more fun than the majority of games I play on my iPad It took me a little more than an evening to beat the game                 Short sweet game with some fun puzzles

I lost my progress and now I can continue playing its been weeks now If I uninstall and reinstall I can play until I get to the same place and then the app hangs and black screen again FIX THIS ASAP     App Crashes Black Screen

Was enjoying using the recent update but have hit a rather odd problem After getting to the Bishop chess puzzle in chamber 8 and taking a break I now cannot properly load the application During the precache after a couple of seconds the screen blanks and the virtual joystick appears but nothing happens after that even after waiting for four or five minutes You can walk around footstep noises as normal but obviously the game does really have any level data loaded and you can stroll about blindly forever Would rather not delete and reinstall as that wipes progress but might not have any choice Quite unfortunate Platform iPad3 wiOS81              Issue with recent update

An absolutely stunning game Very in depth and very attractive graphics Its a great horror puzzler It is short lived so I am looking forward to more updates and new chambers Other than than this game is perfect I would relate it to Amnesia like gameplay in an old Elder Scrolls dungeon setting The controls are also fantastic Overall a wonderful game                 Beautiful

The controls take some getting use to but they be come intuitive quickly The puzzles are reasonably challenging and the hints give just enough information to not completely spoil the puzzle There are a few map bugs where you can get stuck or fall into a hole Overall a good game that you can move through reasonably without tap hunting or being frustrated by dying too many times              Good first person puzzle game

This is a fantastic game I enjoy the puzzles and graphics However I do think this game would be more enjoyable to play if it took advantage of Bluetooth controller support like the Steel Series controller Maybe a update could include that                 Needs Bluetooth Controller Support

Very well do graphics and amazing puzzles But the story line is A bit of a cliché and is hard to Control for smaller devices That and is about four hours of gameplay              Ok

First I need to preface my review with the fact that I am playing on an iPhone 5 Much of what I say may be less problematic on a larger format That said while this game has great atmosphere and some real potential it was clunky and irritating to play I hated the control for moving through the rooms Even with the sensitivity turned all the way down i had a hard time keeping from overshooting where I wanted to go It also does not always follow easily in terms of changing the players perspective or orientation Second it is WAY too easy to somehow get into a space in a chamber where you simply cannot move and are trapped Sure the controller moved you INTO the space where you get stuck but no matter which way you turn the controller it wont let you back out Agh It is also a bit irritating to not start back where youve left off when hitting pause and leaving the game There seems to be a time limit on the pause function but no indication of how to control it Minor points are that the Extras and Options buttons are REALLY insensitive on iPhone screen In addition when I hit Rate this Game it took me to the Cheats link rather than here Had to access through iTunes to write this Overall this is a great game that looks really intriguing has nice artwork creepy not horrifying atmosphere and looks like it could be real fun to play but the glitches were so annoying to me that I finally just gave up and deleted it I would recommend that the developers look at the way movement through space is handled in The Room That is far more intuitive and allows players to get immersed in the game rather than constantly being pulled back out of it by logistical quirks           Too GLITCHY
