This is a fantastic app with wonderful support also Thanks Zev I have now owned this app for years and I really love it Beginning with Genesis I have been reading along with the Hebrew native speaker and testing myself from time to time to check my pronunciation before I hear it What a great way to practice and learn to apply the Shewa rules etc At first I kept getting lost as the speaker is fast But now I am feeling more and more confident I use this app daily and also use the Buth Hebrew pronunciation in Logos I want to tell Zev Clementson how grateful I am Keep up the fantastic work I also love the Lexicon so that I can get definitions while I am in the program Thanks                     Hebrew Bible Bielikov

I love this app I use it every day and I have recommended it to hundreds of people It is great for deeper study because it gives all of the definitions of each Hebrew word as well as everywhere else each word is used This helps you get the full meaning and context of the verse If you are learning Hebrew this app is very helpful in building vocabulary It s also great Hebrew reading practice It has a Hebrew audio Bible as well so you can listen along The one thing I don t like is the English version I m not a thee and thou kinda girl So I just use it for the Hebrew Bible and I use a different app for English I highly recommend this app It s worth every penny                     Amazing app Maryhoward159

I was so excited about finding this Bible base on the codex it says Unfortunately the Bible text that shows in the screen shot never appear in the app and the Bible pages are all blank white space with audio playback instead         The Bible text doesn t appear in the app Economist Bob

This is the best app you could buy for studying and learning the Masoretic Hebrew Scriptures easily readable and configurable texts excellent satellite pin map of locations quick on hand Strongs definitions of and Hebrew word you tap and even an audio reading per chapter and customer support is excellent Only cons I have had this app crash twice now and it will not open whether I reinstall it or cache it which worked last time to cache it from iPhone settings Which is really really lame because it s such a great app I use it on a hourly basis It changed it layout from a studious old style layout to a kinda lame bubbly iOS layout about a year ago The audio cannot play when the phone is locked like various audio bible apps The audio cannot pause as displayed and shows a playback error message when tampered with Does not receive updates crash fixes often                 Still worth it Ephrayim Yisra'el

A hebrew text with one touch BDB definitions and grammar aid for 10 I still have to keep my parsing guide handy for tough verbal forms but this app saves major time I can read an entire chapter in the time it used to take me to crawl through a couple verses Search related words by root searches topic and background searches linked to the web And the map feature super cool choose from geographical locations listed according to biblical book and puts a pin on a modern satellite map Touch the pin and cross reference all other occurrences of the location in the OT You can mark several locations at a time follow the flow of the narrative and then clear the map for another study 10                     Awesome CwbNica

Just can t really say enough good about this app This has been my favorite hebrew bible app from their beginnings And it keeps getting better Who needs anything else I love being able to play the hebrew chapter by chapter from within the app and that it s included Call me spoiled but I SURE WOULD LOVE IT if I could choose to start the audio on any verse I tapped on verse by verse Sometimes waiting for the pronunciation of a word at the end of a chapter is annoying Not a deal reader though I recommend this app Get THIS one FIRST before any others Believe me                     Wow Appthinker

I really like this App It has many great features especially the ability to click on a word for a quick definition The one major annoyance which seems to be ubiquitous among all Hebrew Bible apps is I wish the verse numbering were in Latin script ie 1 2 3 etc instead of Hebrew numbering I m not sure why this isn t the case especially since BHS etc uses Latin numbering It would allow for much quicker searchability once you ve found the chapter                 Good with one annoying flaw swbrace

I found this app serendipitously 3 years ago when I had begun to study Biblical Hebrew This is excellent for study of Hebrew Bible it helps one avoid much frustration Tap the Hebrew word you do not know and up it cones in the dictionary Navigating the dictionary is much easier than using a hard copy The entire Bible is spoken And the app support sets the highest standard prompt personal and effective                     Stellar APP Chantfan

This app allows you to hear the Hebrew being read out loud while you read along It is very helpful when learning the language though it works best for this if you are already beyond the beginner stage There are a host of other helpful features such as the complete BDB in text definitions available with a tap and prompt support I highly recommend it                     Very helpful app RbFoster7

As far as I know this is the best app version if the English Hebrew TaNaK The word definitions and list of occurrences are incredibly helpful to me in my studies this App makes it very easy to find context to develop word connotations and to identify first uses If you ever wonder which English translation is most accurate this app will serve you well I ve been using this for about 6 months now                     Very useful braktheitalian

This is a wonderful app for mastering biblical Hebrew It can best be used after learning the grammar from any standard biblical Hebrew text Then the side by side Hebrew English version allows you to continue learning Hebrew building vocabulary as you go You can click on any Hebrew word to get a full definition and further help you can also listen to the Hebrew read by a native speaker But even more useful for Bible study is the pop up that shows all the verses in which a particular word occurs Very often the nuances of meaning of a single word in its various locations amplify and enrich each other It is actually not possible to fully understand a word without studying it in the context of its other uses It is of course even more impossible to fully understand Bible passages in English translation as the same Hebrew word is often translated as different English words in different places Thus for very little money this app allows you much of the insight into layers of Biblical meaning that previous Bible scholars could only get by having the whole thing memorized in their heads                     Wonderful app for learning Hebrew and understanding Bible MJBlueflower

Having the Biblical Hebrew text and being able to click each individual word and get a basic definition and a link to the Brown Driver Briggs Hebrew English Lexicon BDB page is extremely useful for learning the vocabulary This app is a great complement to the biblical hebrew app which stores the BDB offline I would recommend it for all Hebrew teachers and students Would be great to find a slower Hebrew reading of the bible text for the audio Abraham Shmuelof reads way too fast for me to learn proper pronunciation on a word by word basis                     very useful app Nathanael James

This app is a great study tool It is such a benefit to be able to pull together separate hard to find capabilities into one tool To be able to read the Hebrew Tanakh have it read to you in audio by a rabbi look up words by common roots connect right to the BDB lexicon and pull in maps all in one app is such a blessing The more time I spend with it the more it speeds up my learning and understanding Thank you for your labor to provide this app                     Great study tool kermitv

This is an awesome inexpensive app which not only helped through two semesters of Hebrew and Hebrew Bible but also is helpful in my weekly textual criticism and research My only suggestion would be parsing information for each occurrence It would be a big project but it would make this app significantly more valuable                 Great cheap app markdavidjohnson

I appreciate this app very much as it has been a great and valuable resource for my Hebrew and Bible study Because I love this app I would like to see some improvement in the following areas 1 Glitches it does not go to the chapter it indicates like when I want it to go to ch 6 it goes to ch 1 all the time and crashes often 2 Audio I would like it to be able to read individual verses not just reading through a chapter without pausing or fast forwarding rewinding This is important to me so I can memorize my favorite verses 3 Internet connection I would like at least the body texts to be downloaded to my phone 4 Word study hyperlink the words with dictionary or the Strong would be great Thank you for the future improvement                 Valuable App Kofer of En Gedi

This app is sluggish on my iPad 2 and crashes often The Lexicon is just photographs of a real lexicon It s nothing intuitive These photographs actually make the app a larger file than necessary Three features dont load open the Words Maps and Topics sections dont load open when i touch each icon I m deleting this for now It s not worth the ten dollars I m glad I downloaded it when it was free I recommend downloading Olive Tree Bible Reader and getting the free Hebrew Bible there You can also download QuickMem Hebrew app which is also free         It needs work Stefanos Gatdoulos

This program is wonderful I love the root look up with definitions in each binyan I have recommended it to many of my friends and they are loving it too It s a great study tool Having the BDB page right there is handy as well as the strings number The only drawback to the BDB here is that my iPhone screen is a bit too small and so i can only see a small portion of the page I will give it a full five stars and would even pay a bit more if they would add trope and stam options especially if the weekly parshiyot could be looked up by date                 Excellent and almost Fabulous SandBerns

It s great to have this reference app The voice used for the reading is and a good match for the text Tapping a word for its meaning pronunciation and related grammatical information is quick and thorough The maps are fantastic for visualizing the progression of story through places and events easy to use and google sharp The English translation isn t King James Version as another review suggests although KJV is frequently close in translation but something closer to a transliterated version which I find helpful in developing a better sense for ancient Hebrew Thanks to those who created this app Most apps improve over time I m sure this one will too Meanwhile I m finding it useful informative and accessible                     Worth exploring good content good sound great app Twink Jan

I use this app all the time It can cache bibles or individual books for off line viewing It has choice of parallel translations not interlinear or just Hebrew My favorite though is the Hebrew reader bible It has a Hebrew only text but touch any word for an instant dictionary entry with great helpful information Search for other occurrences of the words Use the maps It s all very well done and has been adding regular new features for the year I have used it There are several options for Tanach and I am sure others are very good but this one is very nicely done                     Excellent Tanach Brother of Korihor

For the price I am very disappointed First this app is very unpolished for the price While it s nice to have the audio recordings in Hebrew the sound quality is atrocious it sounds like a recording from 50 years ago laden with white noise There is also no indication of where the reader is in terms of the text I wish there was a function to isolate what is being read or to be able to fast forward or rewind readings It will just read a passage entirely from begging to end there is no method of isolation for study Furthermore the search function is broken I copied and pasted STRAIGHT FROM THE TEXT and it showed no results Really For this price And to top it off you have to have an Internet connection I had no idea people needed an Internet connection thousands of years ago to read the Tanakh Finally this isn t a real Hebrew to English such as those done by the Jewish Publication Society JPS this is just the Hebrew version pasted next to the King James Version if you don t know Hebrew you re not getting the real translation         Disappointed Vinnaalma

I bought the app hoping that it would help me with my Hebrew The biggest problem is that there is no direct translation or hyperlink for each word I understand this is a large project But you should make it easy to search for words that one doesn t know If you are looking for a quick Hebrew English bible and nothing else this is pretty good But if you are looking for help while reading translating the text look elsewhere Developer please add hyperlinks to Hebrew words to BDB Or at least make it easier to search for meanings Not a good buy Wish I had passed             Needs big update iluminante

I m happy to have the Hebrew Bible on my iPhone but I m not sure it is worth 7 I was looking for an app that had the Hebrew in parallel with an English version so this does satisfy my minimum requirements It goes a little further by adding audio reading of the Hebrew which I find helpful A few disappointments 1 you can t change the font size 2 I haven t figured out how to turn off the parallel translation The parallel display leaves room for only one or two Hebrew words             OK Hopefully it will be improved .davwii

I enjoy using this application It s got a lot of the functionality you d epect from a hebrew english bible For me the best part is clearly the audio recordings that are included There are a number of odd user interface choices that detract from the polish of this application First and foremost i would love to make the Hebrew text even bigger There s not a whole lot of font size choice Second access to the settings screen belongs at the bottom not in a submenu that is difficult to access I m really hoping that these two items get fixed in newer versions Overall a very decent app I recommend you check it out             Decent Biwillia
