Just clarifying that this app DOES let you listen to the current weeks show free others here say it doesnt do anything unless you have a Hearts of Space subscription Wrong Since I have enjoyed hearts of space for decades but seldom remember when its on this lets me listen whenever I want to For 99 cents Thats worth it                 It DOES Let You Listen to the Current Show for Free

If you do not have 1 gb free it wont launch Once I cleaned up apps it works great Excellent content              Revised Works great but needs memory

Love the music Its awesome Ive been a listener to the program for years The only problem is I am a member but for some reason the app wont let me play the different channels but it works on the website Besides that Its wonderful and great to fall asleep to                

I love this app I listen to this weeks show all the time The app is worked great up until a few weeks ago I think it just needs a bug update Sometimes when I try to play the free weekly show I get a message saying im trying to access paid services and it takes backing out and trying again two or three times before it works           Love the App but

I want a refund It wont even let me listen to the free streams anymore If you dont have a PAID hos account it doesnt let you do anything So stupid     Dont get

The color scheme is a little tough to read the text but I can live with it An iPad version would be nice instead of doing the 2X thing on the iPhone version           Pretty Good App

Old version got a 4 stars too because of setting etc too This should be a 45 app except for the below Also would be nice to be able to loop the show and not have to restart Been using app for a long time and updates were what we have been looking for The This Weeks Show starts bit then crashes of you try to multitask Also it seem the settings changes did not save Great shows as always Pleas hot fix              New update crashes 511 IOS

I am a Hearts of Space subscriber and the app is lacking in functionality All I can do is play the weekly show and channels Theres a playlist option but I cant figure out how to create a playlist on the main site to use on the mobile app I cant search for programs or listen to albums on the app The channels dont update often so its often the same few shows only Please improve this app to match subscription services        App is lacking

More updates please maybe your catalog available on the iPhone too The 6 plan is good but I would like to be able to select what Id like to listen to not randomly chosen by a computer                 My favorite music app

I love the music and the app I had a small issue with a previous version Tech support contacted me the same day and had an update that fixed the problem within a week You cant get any better than that                 Awesome

Great app Does what it says and streams flawlessly The only thing I request is an iPad version              Almost there

Freezes on load screen The one time it worked had a terrible time getting it to play anything     Doesnt work

Im using an iPad 3 and the new update has the graphics going jerky like crazy when scrolling the music stops for no reason its really bad compared to the prior version It is way too buggy to have been released like this        Safe debugging programmers wherever you are

Hearts of Space has been and continues to be one of the most impressive music services around I only wish I would have discovered it earlier At this point Im only about a year older than the service itself which is no small feat for a music company Regardless the past few years have been a joy utilizing the webpage and subsequent mobile iOS app Whether its long nights writing school papers or kicking back and enjoying my favorite novel the music available via the Hearts of Space archive has been my goto background soundtrack Notable new features are the ability to fast forward through your current episode selection and also the ability to restart where you left off if you need to stop the stream and close the app for whatever reason Of note as well is the awesome customer service I had a slight issue with the new version initially and had to contact support I was answered right away with a solution that fixed the issue Kudos to the Hill fam and all that make Hearts of Space what it is                 A fantastic update for an already great app and music service

Ive been a HoS fan since the early eighties I am thrilled that I can have it on my iPhone Not a day goes by or night especially that I dont listen to it it is my most used app bar none I for one have no complaints very happy with it Love you Stephen and all of you there at HoS and thank you for everything all the hard work you put forth to bring this to US the true HoS fans                 I would give it ten stars if I could

Huge HOS fan but I totally agree with Alcratin below that this app is only useful if you have the paid HOS account I would like a refund too     Not nice

Version 25 of the Hearts of Space iPhone app is a pleasure to look at and listen to This Weeks Show on demand 8 different fulltime music genre channels and access to My Playlists this is effing GREAT Crazy good eye candy and a smoothassilk interface This is how you Hearts of Space Well worth the wait Thanks HoS                 Most Excellent

This app gives me all the functionality I have on a pc I can skip forward or back while Im in a program and of course between programs I never toggle off the voiceover so I dont know how that works Solid performance This app does NOT skip to a new program partway through yay                 Great easy to use app

This basically gives you nothing unless you have a subscription Using on iPad 2 and it will not rotate with the screen Also the voiceover off function does not work        Needs Subscription

the new version does not work on my old ipod and my new Iphone5s I just bought today The older version of this app works fine on my older ipod the new one just shows the starfield but does not load up Update to this review The new fix has solved my connection problems Leyla Hill and Joseph Jacobs have provided me with first class service and responded to my concerns The folks at Hearts of Space not only have provided me with world class space music but also world class service Thank you You have earned a customer for life I have been a long time subscriber and they have ratified my loyality They truly are the Hearts in the Hearts of Space enterprise                 UPDATE to my previous review

72 DOLLARS a year is the true price What a big ripoff     RIPOFF

My main complaint is that you cannot skip back and forth on a show For someone who likes to listen when I have a free moment but cant always sit through an entire show from start to finish this feature would help And although Im bummed that I paid for an app thinking I had full access only to discover you have to pay for every little thing is very misleading and greedy However Iam tryin to enjoy the one show a week you get for 99 cents and be okay with it           Be more upfront about fees and add rewindforward feature

I started listening to HOS back in the 1980s on the radio and now enjoy listening on my schedule ie every day using my iPhone App But now I can hear music from the extensive archive as well as this weeks show not to mention the other great interactive features I cant recommend it highly enough And they have the greatest and I mean greatest customer service around I had a minor problem on a Saturday evening sent out an email asking for help and got a return email within an hour on the same evening                 Still Wonderful After All These Years

Everything I love about the website packed into an app With a library of one hour shows that span the last 25 years hearts of space will blow your mind with subtle sophistication Full of ambient world fusion and electronica audio bliss Those who know get it Those who dont should                 Subscription Based Bliss

Thanks for all the awesome work you do to bring some of the best music to light If you can get Eno or Budd to put Ellington in Space my musical universe will be complete                 HOS since Y2K and its still my soul source for sound

There is simply no substitute for Stephen Hill and Hearts of Space Ive been listening for the better part of 20 years now and every time I think Ive found an alternate source for relaxing music I come to realize that the hand picked playlists from Hearts of Space are just the best I return time and again The app itself is just the gateway to this long running public radio show It provides high quality access to the catalog of shows I personally prefer to listen to the weekly episode and then use the various Channels to get work done or read a fine book The team behind the app and show take the feedback seriously and continually work to improve the experience I would heartily recommend this to anyone who is looking for space music new age music or just good music              Great app for a fantastic show

I was happy to see that I could enjoy this station after being away for a long time I signed on and was forced to register if I wanted to join so I did It says it will only take a few seconds but it never followed through I tried twice to no avail Its too bad I would have been a valued listener     I tried

My biggest problem with this app is that it doesnt operate well on 3G4G in my area Most streaming apps work fairly well but this one hangs shortly after leaving WiFi and doesnt pick up the cellular signal well That aside spending 99 for this app is not a bad buy in my mind you get access to each weeks show repeatedly I was thinking about upgrading to one of their other plans but until they get the cellular signal fixed I think Ill hold off Ideally if this app worked well subscribing to Hearts of Space would be a nobrainer One major suggestion is that they need to add either a universal app or an iPad app so that I can enjoy HOS easily on all devices If you are fans of this genre of music you should strongly consider investing in this app           I like the app

Like others the splash screen just shows and the app does not progress further     Buyer beware does not work

Why does the app want access to the microphone I dont like that Also it seems like it might be working correctly now but the previous version would continue to stream on cellular data even though I had it turned off in system prefs              Wonderful but

I normally dont write reviews its not my thing I will make an exception for HOS Its gotta be the best 099 Ive ever spent Stephen Hill has created one of the best sources of ambient music around all for pennies a week A remarkable collection of all types of easy listening I love it Its almost impossible to not find hours worth of listening on the 6 channels plus the weekly program As important to me is the support Im not a geek and Ive had several questions about how to best set up both my PC and iPhone and when Ive asked for help Leyla Hill I bet theyre related responds quickly usually within an hour with excellent guidance She knows the system as well as Stephen knows the music All you need to do is ask Im just a happy customer                 Best Ambient Music Available

UPDATE I have been corrected the Sleep Timer function is still available Great One more star This is a nice nofrills app that accesses a great music collection I say nofrills because its functionality is tied to access on Hearts of Space website in terms of setting up playlists and having more direct access to the music The app barely lets you control playback of an episode which sometimes can be frustrating for example when when you have exited the app and upon returning to it you may have to start the episode from the beginning I wouldve given it five stars if the latest version of the app had the sleep timer as it was there in the earlier version Unfortunately the iOS sleep timer when set to stop playing will not stop Hearts of Space from playback it seems to ignore the system timer All said if you are a the hearts of space subscriber you still need to get this app regardless                 Satisfying mobile access great music

Update In addition to all of the wonderful new updates HOS has been optimized for the iPhone 5s and is now a Universal app Thank you so much HOS is calming peaceful and serene The description of whats included at no extra cost is exactly what you get Theres no advertising and I havent been asked to pay for any additional content The app works perfectly without any of the problems Ive experienced with other streaming apps Highly recommend                 Relaxing

Used to love listening to HOS on this app but now it doesnt do anything Ever since updating it starts with a cool looking animated starfield and thats it Nothing else happens I have tried resetting my phone reinstalling the app and none of this is helped Please fix and I will update my review to more stars It used to be five stars in my opinion sadly     App is completely broken

Its been nearly a year since the last update The app crashes on my iPhone 6 too often Also the app does not respond to the earbud pause control And it would be nice if it showed something on the lock screen when playing           I love HOS but the app needs work

Whoever said this app gives you nothing without a subscription is wrong This app gives you access to the weekley show ANYTIME On the website the weekley show is only available for free on Sundays Additionally you are offered several free streams For 99 you get HOS anywhere anytime                 Fantastic deal even without a subscription

The signup process did not work in Safari or Chrome on iOS After you enter all your information there is NO ENTER BUTTON to make it submit I had to sign up on a desktop browser     Most Frustrating Signup Ever

With just the app you get the weeks show anytime plus a few sample tracks Thats fine but it would be nice to skip forward in the weekly show to get to the track you want Maybe you need to pay for standard or full service for that not sure Great music though doesnt hurt to listen again              No way to fast forward

I had posted a negative review due to HOS not working correctly on my ipod iPad or kindle fire Update has fixed all problems Loved HOS back in Hippy Days and Steven Hill has such a mellow voice At the introduction of each play list with the option of muting his introduction                 Update was much needed

I want a refund This application is a quick access for HOS subscribers only If you dont have an HOS account then this 99c is better spent on a cheeseburger The author of this app should rewrite the description to note first what you get for purchase and what the hook is for the content that you think youd be getting Ive loved HOS for over 20 years this really irked me and Im saddened by the way this app is presented Apple should review it for content     Dont buy unless you have a HOS account

When I open this app I just get a black screen w stars the logo cant access the music I miss HOS Thought about deleting reloading but didnt want to be charged for app again w a chance of it not working I guess I have to wait for next update hope it works     update doesnt work

Keep trying to sign up as a new user Site lets me go thru process and instructs me to wait for email which never comes Try to sign in anyway and site says oops Waste of time and money     Cant sign up
