    Do Not use this service 1 Cleaning service is not good at all One the website it will let you pay at least 25 hours for one room one bath But the cleaning people actually left after 15 hours I got charged one hour for nothing and the bathroom floor is not clean at all 2 They will auto charged the next time fee but without any ahead notice And if you want to cancel the service they will take 15 for the cancel fee also will not return the money but only keep it as next time credits The Most Horrible thing is between the time they charged you and the time your next cleaning service is always less then 24hours so no matter what you do they will charge you that 15 for any change of the service 3 Just very very bad service Do Not use it     If I can I will give Handy 1 star

    I am going to put the Handy number right here because they hide it so well on the website 8888476036 8888476036 8888476036 8888476036 Remember that number because if you book this service you will need to call and complain I made a request that my floors and bathroom be cleaned I left it in the note for the booking and told my professional before leaving the apartment When I returned the floors were worse than before the bathroom hadnt been touched and my record player was broken BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN REQUESTING A REFUND BECAUSE THEY WILL AND GIVE YOU CREDITS MAKE SURE YOU REQUEST THE REFUND BE SENT TO YOUR CARD I was also sent a damage claim for my broken record player but Im not confident that issue will be solved     HORRIBLE SERVICE DO NOT USE

    There is no way to contact handy if something goes wrong The first time my professional was 5 hrs late And there is no phone number to contact handy and let them know The second time they decided to cancel my service one day before Why And again there is no way to contact them to know the reason They dont have a costumer service number or email or chat or anything     Terrible company

    This review is about the service overall not the app Handy as a business is a steaming pile of garbage Completely worthless and unacceptable heres my experience and you will see why I scheduled my apartment to be cleaned at 7am on a Tuesday I was moving out into a house and wanted it cleaned professionally to get my hefty security deposit back Handy emailed me at 1130pm the night before to inform me that my professional would be unable to make the appointment and need to reschedule for 4pm Not enough advance notice and ruined my plan for the day but ok things happen So I reschedule my work so that I can make it at 4pm Come the next day at 1115am I get a random call and its my cleaning professional informing me he is at my house for my cleaning What I work over an hour away theres no way I can leave and get there to let him in Unacceptable So I check my email handy emailed me to let me know they rescheduled to 1115am time stamp of the email 1058am Really So my cleaning professional informs me there is no way to contact handy and let them know what is happening no way to email them you will have to cancel the cleaning and reschedule again Oh and by the way pay 15 for the cancellation Forget this service hire locally When too many ppl get involved and a bunch of nerds put together a hip app around a seemingly good idea its just a cluster of disappointment and frustration Zero stars     Beware
    LOVE the app Its extremely easy to use Simple and to the point My wife and I were super pleased with the cleaning service we received too On the online site there is no option for a one time clean but that option is on the app which is really nice                 Simple fast convenient

    Nothing bad to say about actual cleaning service besides the person was late the first time but the second appointment which I did not set come to find it had put me on an auto reoccurring appointment and did not know about until the cleaning person and my building are calling me at work so I was charged for it and told by Handy customer service that because I didnt cancel within 24 hours for an appointment I didnt know about they would not refund I will never be using Handy again and do not recommend Find something with better customer service     Awful customer service
    This app is not that bad until you want out There was a mistake made in the initial registration process charging me for MULTIPLE cleans It was almost IMPOSSIBLE to reach anyone OR to address ANY kind of billing issues They continue to charge my account 29 EVERY 2 weeks and have made it a nightmare to deal with     A scam
    Ive moved Handy doesnt service my new address but they keep charging me and sending cleaning people to my old address I am locked out of my account There is a bug preventing me from resetting my password I have attempted to contact them MANY times and received no response I sent them the below email a week ago and have gotten no response but I just got an email confirming my appointment for tomorrow at my old address Hi Ive been trying to cancel this account for a very long time and Im getting quite frustrated Ive received an email that my next booking is coming up I should not have any bookings coming up Please cancel my account immediately and refund any credits to my bank account before I am forced to escalate this issue I am unable to log into my account Whenever I enter my password I am told that the password is incorrect Whenever I attempt to reset my password I am just sent a new link to request a password reset link There must be some bug or something I am never given access to any form to actually reset my password Its just an endless loop of password link requests I have moved I no longer live at the address you have on file I now live in the suburbs and was told that Handy does not service my new address Please cancel my account immediately and refund anything in my account If this issue is not addressed promptly I will post this same request as a review of the app in the App Store Thank you     They will not let you cancel even if you move
    One day I hear a larger sound of something dropping on the floor so I went over and asked if everything was okay the cleaner said everything is fine Couple weeks later I realized my laptop was completely smashed Of course handy says they cant do anything Because I have no evidence Great Finally found a cleaner I liked so requested her as primary cleaner 5 cleanings later still got different people every time Bottom line If you want a different stranger coming to ur home touching everything you own handy is your best friend     Too many untrained people

    I wanted to cancel a booking that was made recurring several weeks ago because Ive moved out of that apartment There is no customer service telephone on the site I looked it up on my credit card bill and reached the most rude and unhelpful person Ive talked to in a long time After I made my caseexplained that I had made best efforts to cancel she said we are not waiving your cancel fee my supervisor will not either A real gem she was I will never use this company again and neither should you     Bad company
    Handys cleaning service advised Id need a 3 hour window to clean one bed two baths and my kitchen The tweaker they sent spent 35 hours in my smallest bathroom 10 ft by 5 ft with a razor blade scraping the grout in my tile Awful Ill be disputing the charge with my card company as They have no phone number to contact to discuss this with them Do not use this app     Tweaker in my home
    I rarely write reviews but I had to add mine to the pile I use the coupon code to set up my first appointment for Saturday morning at 11 AM I woke around 10 AM and prepared for the made to arrive I dont 1115 AM when no one had arrived and I realize they were late I checked my inbox to realize at 5 AM I got a notice that my appointment was canceled I contacted customer service as this was a very bad experience for a first time customer I asked if there was any way to get a refunddiscounted service due to the issue on my first try The app a try to rebook my appointment and failed to set something up for Sunday I was able to set up an appointment for Sunday but after I sent my email to customer service they canceled my Sunday appointment resulting in me losing the assigned professional At that point customer service and I went backandforth five or more times to reschedule my appointment and each time they let me down I rarely get upset with customer service people but this experience can be summarized as a nightmare Over all the app is beautiful but the company that owns it handy has no idea what theyre doing and they arent very helpful They are rude they just blunder all of their customer service attempts Also I had to reschedule my Sunday appointment because the professional canceled     Terrible service beautiful app

    The app works fine The service it offers is the most painful frustrating waste of time ever We booked a cleaning It got cancelled at the time of the cleaning No notice Then we decided to try again a couple weeks later Noon cleaning got pushed again last minute to 230 Then they didnt show at all and the appointment just disappeared The number we called said it wouldnt recognize any of our phone numbers so it wont pick up Im filing a complaint with the BBB Cant get our money back it just goes to further services which clearly we cant seem to ever get Stay away from this app and service     STAY AWAY

    Bought groupon for this service booked house cleaning for 10 am when expecting company The provide texted me until no one showed Well apparently handy sent me an email rescheduling it too 7pm11pm Friday night this email I Might receive before service expected on the night my company was arriving So no service no notice and NO way to contact them     Worst ever no support

    Terrible website Terrible app Annoyingly aggressive marketing Worse customer service I was acutely ill the day before a scheduled cleaning and canceled on the mobile site while in a cab on the way to the ER rescheduled for a week and agreed to pay the 15 This popped up as confirmed on my phone Then while Im in the ER that night the cleaning professional texts me to say she will be there tomorrow My sister because I was totally septic at this point replied that I had actually cancelled and she said okay no problem feel better Like a normal person the cleaning professionals are great its Handy thats the problem Then Saturday morning day of cleaning I am in hospital she texts me and says handy is still telling her the cleaning is booked So I go to check it out and it is as if I never canceled No trace of the cancelreschedule in sight So I had to cancel again and this time because its only an hour beforehand they charge me the full amount Now that I am well I contacted customer service after hunting down their number which is NOT listed anywhere on their website app or annoying emails and waited 15 minutes on hold then was hung up on the first time then waited another half hour before speaking to someone I explained everything to the customer service man and all he said was he would have to send it to refunds to see if I would get reimbursed They contacted me today saying unless I provided proof that I had canceled the day before they would still charge me Sadly I didnt take a screenshot of the original cancelreschedule because 1 I was severely ill in a cab on the way to the ER and 2 I had no idea it would later disappear and 3 I had no idea Handy was a bunch of jerks I sent them a screen shot of the texts with the professional We shall see I doubt they will reimburse Lastly given above I tried to cancel all future recurring bookings but the website did not have an ability to do that on It redirects you to my bookings and tells you to click edit frequency but there is no such edit frequency to click You have to call and wait on hold PS If youre trying to hunt down their customer service the number is 8888476036 I found it only by looking at my bank statement Summary Handy is the worst Dont use it Not worth it Just find a cleaning professional on your own or use some other app     DO NOT USE HANDY
    I have been using Handy for over a year and they have come a long way The app is really easy to use and the service continues to improve I normally use the cleaning but had some IKEA furniture built recently totally worth it saved me a ton of time                 Good App service keeps getting better
    Our apartment was getting pretty messy and I thought Id give Handy a try had used Homejoy a couple of times and was satisfied w the service but they just went out of business I had heard some ominous things about Handy on the ReplyAll podcast and been warned by friends but gave them a chance anyway I thought it might be a bumpy road but Im lowmaintenance It will be worth it It wont happen to me HUGE MISTAKE The first tipoff that something was really shady shouldve been their booking page the only way to book a cleaning is to have recurring bookings No big deal I thought Ill just schedule for every 4 weeks and call to cancel right after the first cleaning bc it was already clear there was no clear way to do this on the website So I book the cleaning Im set Vincent is coming on Thursday from 10 am 1 pm which is the day my roommate works from home I note that clearly on the booking I think everything is ready to go and Im happy Thursday rolls around I leave the apartment with everything ready to go my roommate positions himself at the dining room table ready to greet the service pro and I go to give my client presentation from 10 11 Finish up around 1105 take my phone off airplane mode and almost have an aneurysm 19 missed calls some from my roommate a few more from an unknown number which turns out to be Vincent saying hes ringing the doorbell and nobodys answering What I call back the number and its out of service some routing number for Handy As I walk through downtown SF towards my next meeting I frantically download the app to pull up my booking info and see a phone number at which to reach Vincent He picks up What happened I ask My roommate has been in the apartment this whole time Which apartment were you standing in front of You can guess what the answer was It was an apartment number on the whole other side of the building Vincent is already on his way home He sounds truly dejected and knows he messed up and truth be told I feel kind of bad for him he sounds like a hardworking guy and its the kind of oversight that can happen to anyone Who knows maybe I typed it in wrong when I made the booking I check the booking again nope definitely gave them the right number So understandable mistake but definitely not my fault right My focus turns to just making sure I dont get charged for this I step into a Starbucks before my next client meeting and pull up the website no number to call just webforms Thats weird this is supposed to be a service operations company right Get Human points me to a number where I can actually talk to somebody I call the number and Im on hold for 15 minutes before I realize Im gonna run out of time before my next meeting I fill out the webform while on hold and get an auto generated reply that someone will be in touch win 48 hours I stay on hold just in case but after a grand total of 38 minutes I have to hang up and go to my meeting About an hour later I get an email from LaTarra w the subject line Handy Alert Your Appointment Today It begins Im reaching out to you because we sent a Handy professional for your scheduled appointment but they werent able to get started I hastily type out a response just in case LaTarra can help me before anybody else reiterating what happened and asking when I can expect my refund A week goes by and I hear nothing The next Thursday I just bite the bullet and call again on hold for 35 minutes this time I finally get Whitney who tells me shes going to escalate my case and I should expect to hear back within 24 hours I get an email that evening that is a total nonsequitur Thanks for contacting us Were sorry for any confusion Unfortunately due to our policy we are unable to refund you at this time For future reference you can cancel or reschedule any booking for free up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time Any cancellation or reschedule within 24 hours is subject to a 15 fee No reschedules may be made within 2 hours Cancellations within 2 hours cannot be refunded Umm what Im not trying to cancel Im trying to not pay for an agreed upon service that was not rendered Technically they never even showed up at my door I immediately call again but theyre closed Call again the next morning and get Tiffany less than a 5 minute wait this time Tiffany seems like a nice person that is just not empowered to do anything but parrot the official party line on why Im not getting my refund bc Vincent tried to contact me and I was unavailable and they have no way of corroborating that he was at the wrong apt though Im sure he would freely admit it I start out nice and polite but end up unloading on poor Tiffany Later I feel bad bc I realize how much punishment she probably takes that should really be directed at management and the unethical thoughtless people who set up these policies that shaft both customers and people like Vincent and Tiffany Doesnt look like Ill be getting my money back Unlike PJ Vogt I dont have a podcast with 100000s of listeners so I guess its ok to steal from me DONT EVER GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS     Short Version They will STEAL YOUR MONEY
    Its cheap for a reason the employees arent well trained or experienced and come with a spray bottle and a Swiffer But theyll do a thorough job at the last minute if you dont need serious deep cleaning more like occasional upkeep or if you have just one room you want them to focus on You pay for convenience and decent work for a profession thats already underpaid           Very Basic Service

    Handy is a great app but dont use it if you care about having any semblance of a good customer experience I booked a cleaning and Handy cancels on me twice Canceling once ok that happens Canceling twice and not any kind of mea culpa How about a discount for my inconvenience I wanted nothing more to do with Handy because its clearly unreliable I canceled the recommended third booking in hopes of getting my money back No luck They deposit the money back into your Handy account instead of putting it on your credit card I tried to find a number where I could talk to a person no luck When I finally found a number through Yelp the phone line closes at 5 ET so people on the West Coast are screwed So much for their promise of 247 support there wasnt even an option to send an email in the app Thanks for lying to us I would stay away from this app     Horrible
    The app has a great interface Makes it really easy to book a cleaner handyman plumber or electrician for the first time and to easily manage existing bookings Ive been using handy for over a year now to clean my house and do occasional handyman work and have had great service              Great app super easy booking flow and love the new help buttons

    This company is awful The app itself has good design great But the business and service is the worst Ive ever seen Today a random guy showed up at my door at 7AM apparently I had booked Handy I canceled the app 3 months ago They literally do not cancel your service they just keep booking people with no cancelation button on the website I asked the cleaner today who I felt bad for but he didnt even have a number These people that run this joke need to g out of business Do not deal with this company you will have better luck on Craigslist or doing the task on your own I forgot to mention the reason I cant stand Handy in the first place I was moving and ordered two Handyman to have one show up I ended up paying 250 and moving myself thanks handy I got a full refund and told them to cancel and this happens today Awful Go away Handy and dont come back     Designer
    Bottom line great app but what its great at is booking poor service After a few tries Im thinking that their service professionals are the folks who couldnt make it on their own or with the existing employers Handy is probably trying to grow too fast or something Im sure they have some good people but they didnt send them my way My cleaning lady damaged a wall during her first cleaning and also seemed to lack some attention to detail left some lights on missed cleaning the kitchen sink But I thought with a little guidance I could work with her well even after asking her to be careful and not damage the walls she did it again in two places Im looking to come home to a cleaner house not a repair project I also booked a handyman got a 35 off deal I just couldnt pass up I should have Whats 35 off a handyman who works at 50 pace and doesnt have slightlymorethanbasic skills He couldnt figure out my admittedly fancy new Ecobee3 thermostat even after calling support I called support and had it wired up in an hour As a software developer I want to make clear that their app and website have great user experiences The FAQ answered all my questions the reminders were helpful though I hate text message surveys just use push notifications or at least let me choose and the UX is overall great But you need a service to match     App is good Service is bad
