The Grid Player is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 6.0 MB to download. The new Grid Player app version 1.2 has been updated on 2014-11-25. I downloaded this app for my non verbal autistic son months ago and it has opened doors for him He is really able to communicate some basic statements with it It really works for us also because we can t afford all of those expensive AAC apps The only issues I have with it are that when I updated it the sound stopped working Then I deleted it and re installed it and now the sound is working but the abc keyboard which was an essential for my son is missing This is a serious problem for us as it is one of the only ways he has to communicate Also we downloaded the US English version but it still uses many UK words like crisps for chips This may not seem like a big deal to most people but for my son who is just at 10 years old finally communicating that can be an issue I would be sooooo happy if you could fix a few of these things Thanks so much                 Great if you can fix some of its issues Crizell

After the new update for the app the audio doesn t work anymore if this gets fixed this app will continue being An amazing app                     Update SheepLifeKit

I have tried twice to download and use this app It looks like it would be a great resource for the children I see at school who need augmentative communication systems but I can t get past the registration process Deleting again     Can t create account or use hellotenbarge

This app has come in very handy when my students have to be without their usual AAC device for some reason or another broken forgot it etc I can t believe there is this great of an app for free Thank you It could also be used as an eval tool when looking at getting a device for a client                     Love this App AmandaSLP

As a speech pathologist working in a nursing home with stroke patients I can say without a doubt this is the greatest AAC app that I have used so far and the fact that its free is truly amazing THANK YOU                     Just awesome ASLP1

There is just one thing that needs to be fix but this free app is still awesome The audible speech doesn t seem to be working on the iPad However it does work on the iPhone Minor issue that I m sure will be fixed soon Huge thanks to the developers from a father of a non verbal autistic little boy Can t say thanks enough                     Great great great app Gatorborne

I ve downloaded many AAC apps and am really impressed with how these are laid out There are three layouts you can see in the sample pages above Going from page to page is clear and intuitive in the 2 symbol talkers and the text one has good word prediction and a good selection of phrases These compare with the more expensive AAC apps except that you can t modify them unless you buy the computer software Thank you so much for making these free I will be recommending these in my workshops                     Incredible for a free AAC app nice layout and speaks Julieoly
