GPX Master+

I am a photo enthusiasts who loves having all my photos accurately geotagged by the time Ive imported them into Aperture I tried out the lite version of GPX Master and I was pleasantly surprised there is no fluff or frills with this software All it does is what the name suggests The option of DropBox syncing is a welcome bonus since it spares me from having to plug my iPhone in and import the GPX tracks After using the lite version for several months I finally decided that I should do the right thing and support the software engineer who created GPX Master If he happens to read my comment I just want to say kudos and thanks                 Simple Reliable

I needed something to log GPS while kayaking I had the iPad I had the waterproof case but I needed something deadsimple to just log my routes Nothing more nothing less This app is perfect for that What I like best about this app is that its about as simple as you can get Theres a map theres a Start Logging button and theres little else When you engage the logging your trail is mapped along the display But if you click the Text mode youre presented with pretty much the raw GPS data along with various stats about that particular trail although Id have liked to have the option for a splitscreen view on the volumnous space of the iPad with half being the map and the other half being the text mode I like stats but I like pictures too Better yet let the splitscreen show different views of the same map one zoomed in to the street level oriented in the direction of travel the other zoomed out more with north always pointing up Its the little things Still you really cant beat this simplicity and Id gladly take this over the volumes of other GPStype apps with overcrowded and cartoonish UIs Im looking at you MotionX or they are streetbased navtype systems that simply dont work offroad This has no concepts of roads Its simply Heres your location on that map and heres some logging data And thats why Id pay even more for this It does one thing and does it wonderfully Again really excellent for what it does Add the splitscreen options and youd have a dannear perfect app              Simple and Elegant

This app does exactly what it should Many geotagging apps want to do all kinds of automation This may be good for some but I like the rest of my work flow to be at home in the digital dark room The drop box solution for moving data around is perfect There are apps out there that focus on social networking but for real work that gets in the way This app is just perfect for getting all the geotag info Then combine it with your photos in Lightroom or your app of choice Simply awesome                 Very good

Sure this app hasnt been updated in a while BUT its rock solid Reliable tracking Reliable force end when battery is too low Reliable Dropbox sync                 Good enough

I use this to track my location when Im out biking and Ive discovered that its a bit more reliable than using the strava app Gpx files sync to my Dropbox and I upload those with the strava website when I get home Perfect system The numerous options allow you to tweak how hard you want it to hit your battery which is definitely helpful Works perfectly on ios7                 Better than strava

I love this app There are a ton of great features but the one I like the best is the ability to automatically sync the tracks to Dropbox                 Fantastic
