Golfscape GPS Rangefinder

Downloaded this app and I cannot even register I have golf shot GPS and it works great But saw this app and was advertised it should integrate with the other app but I cant even run this app to see if it works I can log in using my ID on the other app but this app says cannot login every time I enter my id Until this is fixed I cant recommend this app     Doesnt run

Ive looked at many other apps This one is a fantastic app for the price              Great inexpensive GPS app

To be honest its a cool ap and idea Unfortunately the hole alignment was off at the course I played on every hole even after I would hit recenter Fortunately I played a course where I could always see the green The distances were great but I suggest buying a normal gps I have golfshot and golflogix and your better off with either of those Bummer I paid for this one           Poor hole alignment

I havent been able to use it yet Since every time I try the app crashes Says Round in Progress and wont resume I have reported the problem Waiting for an answer I have 3Gs Some people seem to have success But there is no middle ground     Crash city

This is different than the traditional GPS Im used to And it works on my 3GS                 Fantastic

The Application did not perform well It would not lock in in some hole and was very inconsistant I was very unsatified with the product and request a refund     Bad Day

I loved the Golf GPS app but this one is a waste on the East Coast     Only California Courses

1 You cant track your score 2 You cant track your clubs and distances 3 Screen is way too dark 4 The greens are NOT synced up to 50 yards off and the recenter button is a joke This app is a great idea but it fails in many respects The main idea behind the app is to use the camera and superimpose the yardage to bunkers water hazards and greens But if the REAL hazards are 50 yards to the left of what the app is showing then youve just wasted a stroke on a misaimed approach shot and have lost a stroke Keeping track of your score is the most essential part f any round of golf and you still have to use paper and pencil This is just annoying like not keeping track of your club distances but there are free apps out there that will do all these things for you THIS APP IS A COMPLETE FAILURE Anyone who writes a positive review of this app works for the app company Buyer Beware     Uber FAIL

This app is a rip off no updates and now another is for sale     Rip off

Works great as a rangefinder The distances were visible right away and were accurate As far as rangefinders go its pretty affordable too                 Different Perspective

This app is a neat tool to show off to friends but not as usable on the course as Golfshot A few update tweaks and it maybe ready for prime time           Cool Gimmick

App looks good but in fact has never worked I have downloaded and redownloaded Wont work     This app is greatat CRASHING

The 13 update crashes everytime I try to run it Uninstalled reinstalled still no go Went back to 12 and all is fine     Update killed my Golfscape

Works great except it lacks an automatic move to next hole as does my Sky Caddie              Need auto move to nexthole

This adds nothing to the functionality of Golfshot     Not worth the money

Having problems getting app to recognize my golf shot credentials Requested support and no one replies     No support

I have never been able to use this app as it does not work on the newest iOS The tech support team was not able to give an ETA of when this app that I just paid for would work DONT WASTE YIUR MONEY     Does NOT work I have the iPhone 5 with iOS 704 and does not sync

Current version works great after I updated the firmware using iPhone 4 Love showing off this app on the teebox                 iOS 5

I really wanted to use this app and it has a lot of potential But alas it was not meant to be Problem is the gps is WAY off you have to point the phone at least 4050 degrees off to see the yardages most of the time Obviously that completely destroys the point if the distances align to random trees or other tee boxes Oh well The other apps in this family work great Ill just keep using them and hope for an update        Not useful if you have to aim at a different hole

Paid for this app thinking it was a cool addition to my golfshot And It didnt even install on my phone On my computer its says that it is installed But its nowhere to be found on my phone So I just basically gave them 10 bucks for nothing Big disappointment     Robbed

I bought this app when it first came out and its had a bunch of attention since I doubt Ive used it more than a couple of times on the course Its more of a novelty than anything else Total waste of money     Loved the idea but thats about it

Nice idea unremarkable functionality 1 internal compass RARELY aligned image if course with the actual course 2 VERY difficult to see screen on a hazy day Almost impossible to read on a bright afternoon Kinda expected a bit more from this app at 10 but was not to be Buyer beware Better off throwing your money down on a dog and brewski at the turn Too many other options in the market to make this worthwhile        A dog and a beer

I bought this app last week and after signing in with email and password and getting all the courses downloaded through Golscape app I still could not get in to view the app Every time I tried to use the app I would close down on me after entering the app I have tried multiple times to contact customer service to no avail they have not responded I already bought Golfshot about 7 years ago and it works fine so I figured the new Golfscape GPS could give me a better edge I I want my money back Dont buy it Its a scam     Bought a week ago cannot open it

Bought it yesterday so I have only used once My buddy had his 400 gadget with him and we kept comparing accuracy The 2 were identical most of the time and never differed by more than 2 yards He has to download courses via computer cable to his gadget but this can download on the fly over 3G So far Im amazed and my buddy is wishing he had seen this earlier                 Save 400 and buy this

In practice this app is useless Its impossible to use slow inconsistent and doesnt offer any actual help to your round All the other products in the lineup are top class but this is a gimmick app that you will find yourself not using during your rounds     Useless

Have used Golfshot quite awhile and love it Bought Golfscape to augment it Strange thing has happened it sometimes freezes the GPS on my Golfshot Not on all the holes on a course just an occasional hole Had 957 yards on one hole on Golfshot clicked the Golfscape icon and it suddenly went into satellite access mode and then gave the correct yardage in Golfscape Returned to Golfshot and then it too had the correct yardage This happens several times per round where I have to leave Golfshot and open Golfscape in order to get the yardage to become active and accurate Contacted the programmers and they dont have a solution yet They tweaked my home course data but that was to no avail It is a bug and hasnt stopped bugging me I have deleted Golfscape for the time being and Golfshot works like it always has A great program in its own right but dont be surprised if Golfscape turns it into a problem        Freezes GPS on GolfShot

Save your money with this addon Unless you have a birdseye view of the hole you cannot simply determine hazard locations Hole alignment is often off and I get better view of hole from normal Golfshot GPS app     No use at all

Within several days i upgraded to the 2999 version the range viewer was nearly impossible to gauge and hold steady enough to get a good reading Can I get a refund esp since upgrading Carolyn Hunter     not happy

As many others I bought this thinking it would be an addition to golf shot Not good hard to see screen even on cloudy days Just stay with golf shot I would like my money back please     Not good

First if you have GolfshotGolfscape adds nothing new Plus it has several defects 1 Because it uses your camera you cant see what is on the screen because of glare or lack of light 2 On every use it gives a compass needs calibration error or GPS signal is weak error 3 It crashes a lot As great as Golfshot is Golfscape is like its evil twin Save your     Adds nothing to Golfshot and has problems

Using the phone camera and overlaying distances to hazards is cute but glare is a problem on a sunny day and who plays golf at night or in the rain Doesnt give distance to or carry hazards either and doesnt give distance to the pin Gave it 2 stars        Uses the phone camera

This really needs to be fixed Developers have no problems with sending promo emails every dayhow about you spend some time fixing this instead STILL no iPhone 5 screen support kills it too        Crashes Almost a YEAR since it was updated

I like Golfshot and thought this would really be an ugradeenchancement Just a time sink on the course The target is always well right of the pin even after recentering wasted my money on this gimmick     unnecessary app imho

Golfscape is a completely new rangefinder for golf It feels like a real extension of the game when you hold it up to view distances wherever you point the camera I like how it integrates with the scoring features of Golfshot The compass is an issue on some holes I needed to recenter it sometimes to line up the pin                 New experience for golf

Don t really like it doesnt work like I thought it would I thought it would show on my Iphone as a simulated screen shot like the pictures on the website it doesnt It does not pick up the bunkers doglegs other info right away when you point your phone down the fairway from the tee box It takes so long that by the time it centers itself i already should have hit I do like how it remembers what club you normally use from a certain distance     Rene

Great idea really poor execution 1st problem using the app the top half of my iPhone screen is 3x darker than the bottom half Cant locate the features that you are trying measure its that dark No the camera either screen is perfect in camera app 2nd absolutely NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT Website has little info the support line does not get answered and the Facebook page is out of date 3rd a huge battery hog Used up 75 of battery life in a 4 hour round though that might have partially been due to the problem with the top half of the screen being so dark Would love to get my money back Cant believe this won an Apple Design Award It is simply not ready     Very weak app

I hate to admit that most of the reviews are spot on Its a great idea but not practice for real use The main reason for this is the inconsistency with the compass You need to be sure that your angle is right This is not possible in a timely fashion given that it jumps around periodically I gotta believe that its the apps fault because the regular iPhone compass is not nearly as inconsistent Also there should be very little interference with the compass when Im out in the open walking on the golf course Without confidence in it you will rarely use it in practical situations        Great Idea

I have found the software totally useless Every time I have tried it the message I get is the GPS is poor and the compass is poor It has been of not value to me certainly not worth 10 Paul OConnor     Golfscape GPS Rangefinder

This app doesnt even open paid 20 and it worked for 2 weeks now it just goes to the course and I pick play round in progress and it closes I deleted and reinstalled then it did the sane thing three times dont waste your money     Annoyed
