The Goccia is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is supporting different languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese. It weighs in at only 27.8 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.5.6 has been released on 2014-08-06. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. I stopped wearing my Goccia months ago because it wasnt syncing correctly and I followed the instructions down to the letter I decided to give it another chance hoping they had updated the software enough to make it work now I was wrong The calibration sequence fails every time the time is wrong on the device and it feels like a waste of time now more than ever Ill change my opinion when GWearables fixes the flawed software Still trouble
I had high hopes for this little device However I can almost never get it to sync I have to remove it from the wristband take the protective screens off of my phone set the phone on the floor and physically place the device on my phones camera Each time takes me over 12 hr to get it to sync if it does at all It doesnt update on the go requiring a sync And while the watch is easy enough to read it moves around in the band so noon doesnt always stay up It also requires it to be laid flat to activate the time and my arm isnt always able to be completely flat in order to do that Its a great technology but at this level its not practical Wish it was Not a replacement for fitbit
I have used the Nike Fuelband but the physical button is prone to damage and does not have a sleep tracker I have a Jawbone Up replaced once due to a hardware flaw but you need to plug it in via the headphone port to sync Similar to the Nike Fuelband the Jawbone suffers from the physical button malfunction The Goccia has no moving parts a plus However syncing data is a bit of a puzzle but once you get it it takes a few seconds to do The downside you need to have a barenaked iPhone with no case or screen protectors have removed mine since the iPhone 4 since the glass is too strong anyway and you need to put your iPhone on the table or any flat and stable surface The app on the other hand needs a lot of design work to increase its usability App Needs Work
This is a flimsy product prone to damage I have had to endure too much frustration and I still cant seem to make the device synch with the app Have you heard of a discipline called usability Frustrating
Was good until latest update Now crashes when app opens Unable to sync or do anything Update crashes constantly
I hand no problems with this app until the update Now the app will not open to sync and just crashes instead Good until update
Activation through screen protectors or privacy screens are impossible I tried for 10 minutes and then it dawned on me that the screen protector might be a problem After I was finally able to activate it and used it for 4 days the battery was empty Even a Fitbit works longer The data on the device was useless steps were way off if you sit at a desk it records it as sleep no my work is not that trivial and activity points have no reference frame whatsoever are 6000 high or low Should they be higher I am really disappointed in this product totally overpriced for what it does stay away Doesnt work no customer support bad data
