Great update You can now connect the grill to your local network The app let oh monitor your grill temp as well as the temp of your food It lets you build a profile setting the grill to change temp after a set time or when your food hits a certain temp Smoking in the 21st century Nope its not perfect yet The app disconnects when its running in the background or if the device locks The grill is still connected though the cook is still going and the app reconnects quickly Overall a great setup                 Networked

Same issues as Tony and Becky Cant wait for the new version to come out in a couple of weeks No more point to point drops and limited range no more false warnings popping up pellet alarm support I love that GMG is so far ahead of the game with their technology Keep up the great work GMG              Great idea needs a little work

Im having the exact same problem as Tony              Wifi update

The app looks great and its getting there Disconnects when the app goes to background Would like to have vibrations on notifications Looking forward to the next version when more kinks are ironed out Please post a date for next release           Getting there

Its got a great user interface and a killer concept This for me is a winner right here Monitoring meat temperature was never been so much easier                 Great UI

I was very exited to be able to monitor and program my cooks over the network with this app Unfortunately I have experienced many disconnects from the grill Sometimes Im able to reconnect after a few tries Other times the app will never connect following loss of connection Its sad but I have zero trust in this app at this point Ive gone back to my maverick wireless for temperature monitoring and alerts        Gmg please make this app more reliable

Disconnects and then wont find the grill again Believe it or not Williams Sonoma rolled out a great app for their Smart Thermometer copy them     Disconnects too often

So far most of the app works good but the timer and alarm clock are worthless They do not keep accurate time they pause and start at random intervals I set the clock for One hour and when my kitchen timer went off the GMG app was at 40 mins thats bad news for grilling I am hope the clock issue does not role over to set cook times in saved profiles because that could be disastrous Recommend using an additional timer outside the app until you confirm reliability           Looks ok and has nice features but

Appleplease allow the GMG app to run in the background This would make this a five star app without question              GMG App

With the latest update you fixed the issue I kept having If I had the grill switch off for a week when I turned the grill on it wouldnt find the grill i had to reset wifi and set it back up With the latest update it now finds the grill and reprograms the wifi and everything works Thanks                 Good Job Latest Update

The is really nice to have for smoking on your grill but I still cant get my grill to update and the low pellet alarm still doesnt seem to work Also Please get this set up to work on home networks as promised since the point to point wifi doesnt have enough range I am using all iOS devices           Cool feature but

They should tell you it doesnt work with iPhone 4 before you spend 90000 on a grill     Mr

Come guys its 2015 and you cant get this to operate as advertised The dealer convinced me to sell my Traiger and buy the JB I was told and verified that you could use this app to connect to my grill through the cloud no such luck When I called to find out why I couldnt figure it out GM said that it was never able to do that but they were working on it and hoped to have it by this fall This app is in need of major overhaul from the ground up You cant save the profiles or share them it needs the ability to set the device name or IP address of the grill so it doesnt have to spend 30 to 45 seconds hunting down the grill in the network it needs to keep connected in the background so you dont have to wait and wait to connect again to the grill and most of all get it to the cloud You can get apps that let you view cameras and monitor your homes thermostat from the cloud Sounds to me like you need to get better developers        Needs a lot of work

Grill is great but app is horrible New version is broken Quits on connection every time And only works if on your home wifi What good is that Also doesnt work with new betas of iOS 90     App is broken

I bought a GMG Davy Crockett the small 12v tailgating version I absolutely love this grill It cooks like no other bbq Ive used and the mobile app makes it easy to monitor temperatures The app is easy to use and is beautiful just like the grill Food profiles are very intriguing also They allow you to set a series of steps for the grill to follow The food probe temperature is great for tracking internal meat temperature without a third party meat probe and can be monitored from the app Really loving this whole grilling experience with my GMG                 The worlds first connected BBQ

I have been using the app for over 4 months this is the best to date I had to change my router password for the latest installment but the setup only took 10 minutes or so Cant wait for profile sharing                 Great app

My Daniel Boone just got Whole lot better The app works great I can make custom timers setup different cook profiles You can even turn your grill off and it kicks right into fan mode The future is awesome Using an iPhone 4 Had to hard reset my phone to get it connect My iPhone 5 connects great              Amazing

The features offered are awesome and much welcome to fine tune your grillingsmoking experince but the app is so clunky its almost not worth it The biggest single problem the app doesnt run in the background So you either have to turn your auto lock to never and burn a ton of battery and possibly even worse dont do ANYTHING else wyour phone requiring you to put this app in the background or you have to constantly reconnect your app to your grill which takes about 3045 seconds each time assuming it is able to reconnect which isnt always the case I really hope they update this app soon to streamline its connection ability let it run in the background and to make the broadcast modeclient mode transition simplified           Its a good start

I can finally connect my grill to my home wifi just like my Nest I love monitoring my grill from anywhere in my home                 Local wifi

System requirements said it would run on IOS 6 but it does not Update now says IOS 7 so it is useless to me     Wont run on IOS 6
