Ghostbusters Pinball

I found this app while looking for a simple retro game being from a generation of pong I find this application as close to real as Ive seenin soundgraphics skill level and actual game physics Great cost choices and reasonable rates Buy your favorite table and enjoy the memories                 blast from the past

The new ruleset and multiball are nice but this is a terribly disappointing effort The execution of the theme is a total misfire the art is drab and uninteresting the characters all look a bit off and the sound designer picked a bunch of perplexing butchered quotes the majority seem to be from the completely unquotable second film that most casual Ghostbusters fans wont even recognize Also important to mention is that this is merely a mod of Gottliebs Haunted House Im not upset by the IAPs in this case mostly because the table wont hold anyones interest past a few plays Its truly shocking that a property this popular could be handled so poorly Its as if it was made by people who have no familiarity whatever with Ghostbusters       

First of all I agree with another reviewer that they should play the theme from the ghost busters Also the game is to big of a design for my iPhone 6 I cant see the whole machine on my the screen I am removing it from my phone     Very poor game

While I enjoyed the table I think Pinball Arcade missed a bunch of opportunities in the ruleset of Ghostbusters Pinball by hewing too closely to the Haunted House ruleset Theres little sense of coordination of sounds with the progression towards goals such as defeating the StaPuft Marshmallow Man beyond the Do Re Egon sounds I have no idea how many more hits are remaining to destroy the Man etc Theres no separation of movies 1 and 2 no real reason progressionwise to include 2 beyond the idea that theres a subway in 2 Although I love its addition I dont know why twoball play exists here or what purpose it serves beyond variety Beyond this is the fact Farsight Studios still hasnt fixed all the offkilter collision detection and fixed ballpath predictability found in the source software in the Pinball Arcade Haunted House table plus added some spots with odd collision detection particularly the roof left side I still managed to enjoy the table mostly thanks to my experience with both the physical and virtual Haunted House source tables              Missed opportunities problematic collision detection

Oh oh no my FarSight Studios Obvious cash grab is obvious The first time I cannot get a licensed table because youve decided to make it a standalone instead of allowing me to buy it in the pinball arcade app I will vote screamingly with my dollar Please do not become a sleazy corporate entity The table itself Disappointing and unpolished hack of the Haunted House table     Obvious cash grab is obvious

As soon as I press start it closes I echo the other users confusion that Pinball Arcage works fine and this wont start and hope its fixed soon as Im looking forward to playing it     Crashes right after Title Screen

Screw these whiny babies who are upset about the music The developers put together an amazing pinball table highlighting the Ghostbusters enough said The tables features are really cool and pay a sweet homage to the Ghostbusters As a die hard fan I am loving this game I am only said there is not a real pinball machine exactly like this                 Awesome

I would purchase and rate this table 5 out of 5 Only if the theme to the Ghostbusters is brought back The music makes the table     What Happened to the Theme Song

Farsight youve done a great job with all of the great pinball classics and Im glad youve started to try and make your own I have faith you can make wonderful titles like this The problem is how come you havent added this to your already existing pinball application Unless this is the start of a separate one for newly created pinball games If this is the case please address your fans this would be something that we all should know about if so If not then it needs to be within with the other titles There is no reason to keep it separate from the others it doesnt make sense Also why cant we buy the table out right like all the other titles Ive been a loyal fan almost since day one I have currently all your other titles on IOS and all the same on my PS3 which I had to pay separately due to it being a different system So its like Ive paid twice in a sense Ive even helped in the kickstarters too Ive help support your wonderful company like many others And Im sure like others we are not going to buy tokens to keep playing this table or others tables in the future I would be more then happy to purchase this game for a price Please give us the option one of many loyal fans        A nice start

This is just a re skin of the Haunted House table thats available within Pinball Arcade The decision to make this a separate download is curious it supports no effort that I can see except to get people to pay for tokens It has been reported that Farsight was going to start developing original tables I hope this isnt an example of what we should expect going forward           Not bad but

Is this not a real table I thought FarSight made their games based on real tables I cannot find any information on a 2014 Ghostbusters table           Table info

I actually really like the table but hate not being able to just purchase the table like your economics work in the Pinball Arcade app So many games are ruined by the in app purchase system It almost removes the reward for using skill which is what gaming should be about The reward for skill system is now achieved by in app purchases instead A sad world when he have great gaming technology with our iOS devices and almost no games we can just purchase and play        Gone the way of EA

As fun as this game is there is nothing more frustrating than seeing the ball go right between the flippers because it hits an angle directly in front of the flippers Its not a matter of simply missing the ball 7 out of 10 times that the turn is over is usually right after a hit a bad spot in the table Then there is the issue of the ball going to an area behind the flippers that ends the turn How about a some kind of block that we can earn that keeps the ball in play And why do I have to wait a certain amount of time to earn tokens I would much rather buy the game outright for unlimited plays rather than have to wait all the time Game developersplease fix what is already a fun game           Really unforgiving

Table is just a recreation of Haunted House and Im amazed they are so proud of themselves for changing some graphics and calling it their own I dont like the way FarSight is going with micro transactions and having to buy tokens to play Funny how with Pinball Arcade you can purchase tables albeit with a ton of bugs but the magically release this far far more expensive way of playing bug free I want to just buy a game and not want to worry about tokens I will play this for free but refuse to buy one token Id gladly buy the game to own        Nice but

Its the haunted house come on you surely can do better than that Not impressed and dont like the hassle just to get to the table Ive deleted this table especially if it is going to cost me more to play If youre going to make your own table dont just paint over table youve already sold ITS THE HAUNTED HOUSE Come on man     Haunted house in disguise

Good effort but the fun is not there game crashes and when Im supposed to get multiball I dont and when I lose the ball it doesnt recognize it and it makes me lose tokens dont understand the whole token system Bought every table for this awesome developer but this game is not there for me        Good effort

Its not ghostbusters without the theme     No theme delete

What happened to the ghostbusters theme music I wish I had not updated this app I liked hearing the theme music as I played The music that plays now is so annoying I wished you would have stated in the update that you were removing the music I feel cheated I even paid the 499 to buy the table I have since deleted the game Whenever you add the ghostbusters theme music Then Ill reinstall the app and give you 5 stars Its like having the Star Wars pinball machine but instead of having the cool iconic Star Wars theme music There is generic music is playing in the background instead In the future I will be cautious before upgrading on my main device I will update on my iPhone first to see whats been removed     Dont upgrade theme music gets removed

Im not going to trash this table just because I dont like it Its just a remake of Haunted House with annoying ghostbusters music Try it for yourself and make your decision           Haunted House

Im loving this table Cant thank you enough for putting this out for Halloween Keep up the good work with all your tables Ps Noobs always read the reviews before updating your apps I have almost fifty app that need to be updated and I wont because we seem to be going backwards with app updates Farsite studios should have put in the notes of the update that the music was changed Im glad I dont update without reading the reviews first Not to mention I have plenty of coins what do I care about being able to buy the table                 Thank you guys from a ghost busters fan

Love this table Great job on the table and graphics I am giving this 4 stars because like your previous pinball tables I feel you should have the option to purchase the table instead of having free coins              A must for any pinball fan

I love Pinball Arcade and own most of the boards but this is ridiculous Whoever greenlit the idea of returning to buying individual play passes needs to rethink their philosophy of business I have too many other options that dont require constant payment like this that are just as good In fact Im going to go buy the competitors games right now instead of playing this again Maybe its a good board but with my one play through Ill never know     If you want my quarters build a real board

Wow I have to agree wholeheartedly with the other reviewers The experience is completely ruined without the true Ghostbusters theme song If Farsight only had rights to use it for a limited time they should have only run the game for the same limited time The original concept was great but now I dont want to go near it To the developers you do great work but this reflects badly on you Just pull it guysnow     Not GB wo theme song

It seems that Farsight put in very little effort on this table other than some graphical and audio changes and minor rules adjustments This plays too much like HH for anyone who already has it which makes for a boring game overall Add in some heinous IAP and youve got this stinker     Lame reskin of Haunted House

First impressions Well done clearly inspiredfueled by Black Hole and perhaps others from The Pinball Arcade Id prefer a less mechanical design and a more visible upper playfield in an alldigital table but admittedly I had the bulk of my coinop fun in 1993 and beyond              Pretty schweet

Not a fan of the table layout by putting a mini table in the upper right quarter rooftop of the table and those ball sinksstoppers in the upper left quarter the table is effectively cut in half Theres no way make long shots or for the ball to get any momentum its motion is constantly broken up and stopped and youre left with just pinging the ball around and two mini tables which just feel like kiddie tables and are more annoying then fun There arent really many interesting or fun objectives to chase the stay puft challenge seems to be it and it requires playing the dumb rooftop mini table and few satisfying table targets The challenges are also pretty much near impossible to figure out unless you read the instructions nothing intuitive to the table itself        Poor table

This game should have been part of pinball arcade where you can purchase new tables for a few bucks when they come out Instead its a free app but after you use up a few free games they want you to buy more tokens with real money to play virtual pinball I have no problems buying a new table for a few bucks but theres no way Im gonna spend real money every time I wanna play fake pinball I would rather go to my friend Joes house and play his real tables for free than pay actual money to play iPad pinball Truly shameful and a terrible business idea a new low in iOS gaming     Buying tokens for virtual pinball is dumb

Pinball arcade did an amazing job with this game Taking the logical next step from reproduction to modding a classic table that captures the heart of both the ghost buster franchise and the classic haunted house table Its an amazing table that is fun to play My only wish is that they would give us the option to buy the table outright like they do in pinball arcade I appreciate making it free to play but would love to pay to get rid of tokens                 A great merging of the Haunted House pinball and my favorite movie

Okay so this game is just a reskin of Gottliebs Haunted House a classic table from the 80s I say just but dont mean it Haunted House is a great table that I always felt suffered a bit in the theme department Adding the callouts from the movie heightens the experience and makes me want to play an excellent table that much more The subway is especially awesome as is the music used for multiball However dont expect a flashy table with a rule set designed for depth Expect to have fun and try to score high in a lovely application of theme                 Great little reskin classic gameplay

The people who made this app just copied from a pinball game called hunted house which was straight from the app called pinball arcade Then replaced them with ghostbuster images Next time make your own app other than just copying it from other pinball machines     Copycat

I hope this doesnt become the way the tables are offered dont ruin a great thing Ive paid for the pro version of every table well over 300 dollars and will continue to do so as in app purchase     Dean

Great table design from the guys at Farsight The additional touch of voice clips and all the great characters rocks Download it                 Excellent

I was expecting something more casual with the new standalone table Instead this table feels more complicated with reverse direction flippers and the weird reverse gravity that while a fun creative gimmick on paper does not equal fun during gameplay Looking at the playfield is just confusing to ignore the perspective of the lower level If standalone apps for new tables are to become the norm a new direction needs to be taken 1 maybe 2 objectives max at a single time with a less busy playfield that can be understood instantly This is virtual not every possible objective needs to be on the table at the same time etc and just having it light up is not enough Dont show what is not active It doesnt require mechanical stuff to pull this off anymore It is tough to balance traditional pinball concepts to appeal to hardcore players and new players at the same time but these stand alone apps should experiment both ways It seems new tables in the virtual space only push more complex and hardcore play when most just want simple awesome feel good casual pinball Even if hardcore players would consider it shallow           Fun theme Wrong gameplay direction

It would be nice if I could turn off the music and just play with sound effects Very disappointed in the programmers of this game for these lack of features                 Theme song

Farsight you should stick to what you do best digitizing existing pinball machines This game is not fun to play Im a huge fan of the ghostbusters franchise but this halfassed attempt offers little to a fan of the movie or a lover of pinball The gameplay is confusing and boring The digitized sounds from the movie seem to bear no relevance to the action on the table Its a major disappointment Youd think it would be a lot better with all the pinball they must play at the office Thankfully it was free I see why they made it a standalone game they didnt want to tarnish the Pinball Arcade franchise     Really bad
