GeoAlert ~ gps location aware alarms for your iPhone

iPhone 3GS running iOS4 UI is easy to set up but I couldnt get it function unless my phone was awake and Geoalert was the active program Id set it for my destination and just let the phone time out to sleep When I knew I was in range the alarm still didnt sound until I turned the phone back on and then it alerted me that I was where I needed to be Another time Geoalert was running in the background and didnt alert me until I made it the active program Keep working guys youre getting there Ill update the rating when it works        Still needs work

Yep that guy doesnt know what the hell hes talking about and he kills kittens Anyways this app does everything it says it does If you ride the bus or train Its a must have if you feel like getting yo nap on after a long night if howllering at some hunnies                 Geoalert is hawt yo

Although it isnt really flashy it definitely does what I paid for and has already come in handy on a couple occasions Thanks to geoalert my nephew was not left waiting outside his school when I passed byalmost forgot I promised to pick him up                 Very handy app

DONT BUY THIS APP Does not work in background Only works when its open I did several tests and would not work anytime I closed the app If Im sleeping on the bus which is why I bought this I would have over slept my stop So way to go Thanks for wasting my money Product development at its finest Its soo bad Ive literally downloaded HUNDREDS of apps This is my first ever review Please skip this app     ONLY WORKS WHEN OPEN

Like others have mentioned alarm does not sound unless app is running in the foreground           Almost there

This app is a total rip off I guess thats why there is a free version now So the developer can make money from the ads Who wants to pay good money for an app that doesnt function as described     Fail

This app actually does work in the background as advertised but not when in sleep mode which is the majority of the time So limited usefulness        Eh ok

If no alert it is likely that the proximity accuracy was made too small And the developer does warn of this No way to determine what the workable proximity radius will be except by gradually diminishing the radius as far as I know But the program does work if the proximity radius is large enough On my iP4 running iOS4 background alerts do appear for me One person let hisher phone go to sleep and then didnt get any alert But I believe this is not the fault of the app As far as I know the iPhone needs to be on for background tasks to work Unlike the native clock alarms which will sound with the phone off Also accuracy is affected by the distances between cell towers so that if the alarm pin is not within the desired distance from a cell tower I suppose the alarm will not sound I am also unsure whether the app sounds when you both enter and leave the area around the alarm pin It seems to me that it only alarms when you are entering the area around the pin I notice that some other reviewer wanted the app to alarm when he left a region so I assume that this app will only sound when your are entering the region around a pin So this could be a dealbreaker if you wanted an alert when you are leaving a region                 I think I now understand the problem

App only gives you an alarm if it is actively running on my iphone 4 I think this renders the app pointless I liked that it used both time and location for each alarm but again the alarm needs to go off when the app is running in the background as advertised I will update my review if addressed     Alarm does not sound when running in background
