There just arent enough levels of zoom up and down to make this app interesting and the resolution isnt that great        Not that interesting

When I seen Frax fractals people were doing I thought how can they look like that So clear so close so shinyTo have a fractal program on my iPad wow I had to try itIt never ceases to amaze even after a year Its challenging enough to keep your interest but easy enough make you proud of what you can create Truly interactive in that Frax has a way to lead you in the right direction by a few gestures of its own you will learn to reconize Tons of documentation so you can fine tune some of the beautuiful elements in this fun fractal app                 Its Alive

Ive been hooked on this app since I got it its amazing The Facebook Group FraxApp where people post there work is very inspiring and adds to the adventure After seeing my posts on Facebook my friends have bought the app and love it too I just cant say enough positive things about this app Ive given other apps five stars before if I could Id give Frax more                 LOVE IT

Great fun and fantastic results Amazing interaction as you grow your own fractal art Excellent support too Quick response and resolution I had trouble with Frax on IOS 8 but the problem was with the iOS I had to wipe and restore my iPad Frax support helped me get up and running again So glad to be Fraxing again Thank you                 Fantastic

I stumbled on this and am completely blown away by its power and beauty and interface It brings back memories of reading James Gleicks Chaos book when it appeared in 1987 and my first introduction to Mandelbrot and fractals When I got my first Mac Plus sigh that ages me I spend hours with a Mandelbrot program in BW of course It is an apt illustration of how far computing has advanced when I think of those early images on a desktop Mac and what Frax HD produces on an iPad Everyone should own this app to explore one of the wonders of mathematical science and view the incredible images it creates                 Everyone should own this app

I got this amazing app when it first came out and I was seriously stunned when I opened it for the first time because of how incredible this app truly is in my opinion I mean if you have even the slightest interest in fractals jump on this right away But honestly I think if someone hated fractals for whatever reason they would instantly love them all of sudden due to the amazing things that you can create in this awesome tool If you have never heard of a fractal I wager that you might fall in love with this app like I have done once you used and familiarized yourself with it The demo is the best place to start if you are unsure in my opinion Plus this is the only app I have ever used where I feel that the use of inapp purchases is actually warranted and not your usual shady corrupt and immoral business practice I mean they are used to cover the insanely high definition exports you can do outside the app and in no way cripple the app if you dont have them like most uses of IAPs A moral use of IAPs that just always seemed literally impossible on principle alone But this is an extremely rare instance where I do not loathe the aspect and use of it For me that is truly something So I was always just so appreciative and incredibly thankful and grateful to the developers of this app for all of the blood sweat and tears they must have poured into building and maintaining this application But secretly I was always longing for the ability to record and save the tranceinducing animations that you can start and stop while editing your fractals in the application And I just cannot believe that feature is here now In my opinion this much much appreciated new video function performs flawlessly and the exported videos that I have produced are just beyond my wildest dreams Plus the video stuff goes on with using your Apple devices native cameravideo feature what a brilliant decision in my opinion Now you do not have to relearn anything if you are already comfortable with using your camera and video recorder Plus you can trigger three types of animation motion lights and color Again I just want to impart my sincere thanks to the wonderful developers of this application for always improving this app never breaking it and never removing good features or adding bad ones And just thank you guys so much for your dedication and support for this app and for the wonderful new video recording feature God Bless iPad Air 2 iOS 813 PS Thank you again for this wonderful videorecording feature It was a feature that I always wanted and it is just incredible in my opinion                 Just Truly Amazing Thank You So Much

the touch interface changes entirely the way i deal with fractals being limited to only Mandelbrot and Julia sets is a quite constricting but im hoping that will expand in the future get this app you wont be disappointed                 great app

Im an artist and upgraded to the full paid version within five minutes of trying it out This app is absolutely AMAZING Kudos to the developers The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is the lack of an alpha transparency option for the background Please please please give it that and I will come back to update my review with the last star              Love this app

I have been playing with fractals for 12 years and Frax is just beyond comparison Thank you to the developers                 AWESOME

Wow This app shows the power and beauty of a simple equation The more I play with it the more stunning visuals I can create Its one of the few apps I return to again and again I also like to use the Flow mode found by tapping the Frax logo for a bit of a zen break                 A bit of iOS beauty

I also have this on my iPhone 5s and it is a much better experience On slower hardware with bigger screen it looses a lot of the immediacy that makes it so fun on my iPhone The output is great but its dissapointing that all get is a single Mandlebrot and its corresponding Julia Infinite ways to color and light the but you are still stuck with those basic fractals           A bit limited slow on iPad2

This app has extreme depth and the amount of detail and time spent into making this what it is becomes apparent the deeper you dive I dont often write reviews but when I do FRAX certainly deserves infinitely higher reviews then amateurs in every category                 Incredible

Used Kais Power Tools plugins for ages so I knew any project with Kai involved had to be good Love it Best MandelbrotJulia explorer on any platform for the money and the Pro version is worth it Thanks for the update Next time maybe include a stripped down mode for finding your spot and allow me to use my saved projects for color and texture Perhaps some incoloring options would be nice and maybe some other formulas Keep it up                 Fantastic

Ive seen quite a few reviews mentioning this is the best fractal app out the in AppLand I get it However personally Ive not come across many fractal apps Perhaps this is because I wasnt searching for anything having to do with fractals It just never crossed my mind But when I saw this app in particular I was absolutely floored at the incredibly drop dead gorgeous modern art that can be created with Frax HD Not only can you save what youve found and captured you can make some of the most stunning abstracts to hang on your walls To me this app goes so far beyond math and science                 MAKES INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL PIX

What an amazing program The very tool every fractal artist can use to hone in on the subtle beauty that most fractal programs skip right over to physically manipulate delicate textures and colors and to actually easily use your own photos to color your own fractals As a fan of the early KPT Frax plugin this is a full blown different program that stands alone and reveals recursive delights in a much more controllable interface Photoshop gurus have long awaited this novel techniques return and it turns out to to be time well spent With support treating each customer as a valued addition to the fractal family leaving no problem unsolved this is an outstanding example of World Class Software                 Fractal Fundamentals

This has great resolution and great controls to let you encompass the ENTIRE color spectrum It also lets you change texture and lighting I highly recommend it                 Far better than other programs

Update I found out that what fractal the app defaults to is controlled in the iOS settings Ive been waiting for three years for this app Yesterday I searched the App Store for anything fractal for the first time in two years Id stopped looking because there wasnt anything much worth having You could zoom change colors and how fast the app cycled the color palette but not much more than that Many other apps were just a collection of images After buying and playing with it for about 15 minutes I bought the Pro version Now Im in fractal heaven As one reviewer said it is the same Mandelbrot or Julia sets but with the Pro versions Designer and shape Rooms I have saved images that you could never have guessed they where from anything fractal Plus there is a 293 page user guide for the Pro version The only thing Ive come across that is a slight draw back and that is if I am zoomed in and put the app in the background to do some other things when I bring the app back up its back to the standard image display Great job by this developer This app will never leave my iPad                 Fantastic Fractal app

Im using Frax HD since it came out and its absolutely amazing The depth layers and versatility are unheard of I have maybe scratched 10 of its capacity and I work with it daily Im using it in conjunction with other apps for my visionary fractal art The feature I like most is its capacity to to Frax my own photo imagine fractalize your own pictures This app is serious business a lot of it is play and exploration a lot of it is reading the manual and FAQ                 Best Fractal App Ever

i have tried various other fractal apps and this is by far the best oneout there I origionally bougt on my iPOD and was blown away by how easy it was to use I was so impressed tht i wanted to try the upgrad to HD but the iPOD didnt have the capability to upgrade I then shared the app with my wife and we decided to buy iPADs just for Frax we bought refurbished ones and upgraded to Pro and WOW I would recommend this app to anyone Oh and the support is OUTSTANDING 5 stars is not enough in my humbe opinion Download this app you will not regret it                 An AWESOME app

Ive been hesitant but I finally took the plunge Glad I did grabbed the pro upgrade also to have crazy amounts of control In the future Id like to see a video out function 0 The video renders are pretty good for the present time but Id like to get an output going to an external capture device Nice work devs A special request if I mayI would looooveeee to see down the road the ability to use an image in place of a gradient I see we can presently load an image and it breaks it down into its own gradient but what if we could load full images to cycle through the actual pngjpgbmp or image instead of only the gradient Such a function would really open the limitlessness of this programId really go crazy if you guys added that down the road                 Super Awesome

I must admit I have always hated Kai Krauses InterfaceStyle They are always as beautiful as they are counterintuitive and unusable at least for me Every tap produces some effect that I did NOT want to happen Why are the presets always animating the colors Why cant the movement just stop after I zoom in slowly If you manage to wrangle it down though the results might be visually stunning I just cant get myself using it more often for reasons stated above           Love the results hate the Interface
