Firefight - WW2

This is probably one of the top strategy games and the only one of its kind on the AppStore When I saw it was free I couldnt believe it I downloaded and opened it then WAM 2000 for the full version Why Dont get me wrong this is an AMAZING game but thats too much           The best game to be disappointed about

The game has a great tactical feel to it but moments when units dont listen to orders or losing 4 tanks to 1 when they all move in at the same time is a little annoying But I hope they create an eastern front and the pacific because I feel this game would be one of the top apps if it does              Great game small errors

This app offers realistic combat and many different play styles It is slightly in depth but not to in depth it is a perfect balance but this game does have a flaw It is quite overpriced a single small campaign will set you back 4 dollars Which is a total rip off If it was only one dollar I would consider this app to the best app ever              Great game

Very professional workproduct that deserves support through inapp purchases Revival of 90s real time tactics games Expect to take at least a half hour to finish each battle and expect to apply basic knowledge of recon as well as combined arms tactics Manage ammo order units to hold fire for stealth flanking mortars etc Otherwise the AI will win Lots of fun pausing the game to research the real metrics of the units you encounter then going back to the game and applying that knowledge Replayability would be improved through a skirmish mode and through providing debriefing statistics after each battle kills losses etc              Fun Elegant Challenge

Greatest I repeat greatest World war 2 app on the App Store The strategy is grand it will test your skills as a Commander Higher troopers like the grenadiers and the paratroopers will fight harder than normal infantry All troopers will have psychological effects if they hear bombing or enemy gun fire Only the smartest and most dedicated commanders can win even the toughest battles Can you plz add missions with commandos involved or add a thing to where you can make your own commando unit and add them in missions as reinforcements or something Plz                 Amazing

This game is like close combat except has a more tactical feel The fact that you can position your units and their facing along with squad formation is something that CC desperately needs I Dled CC the other day Panthers in the Fog and was disappointed how cartoonish it looked compared to this and the fact that CC hasnt changed at all Firefight at least looks just as good without the micromanagement on the squad level If they added a campaign or at least more maps with a choice of units to deploy beforehand this would be worth 20 dollars If they added a strategic map for your battalions and companies to skirmish with against the enemy then it would be one of the best games of 2015              Better than close combat

Though the game is indeed promising it is not free To actually get any real content you must pay Needless to say I was greatly disappointed If are into tutorials by all means snag this app        Not Free

Hey this is a great game I am not going to lie but I believe that there should be an occasional free mission and some free units because I am going to buy the missions              Free missions

Like everyone else has said it needs more maps Also need some Defend missions everything is assault missions capture the flag A campaign mode would also be a great addition Besides that its an excellent game              Very good but needs work

Machine gun teams slow but could lay down suppressing fire Maybe a recon plane that flys over a specific part of the map and spots enemy units for 4 seconds could make for an interesting mechanic                 Suggestions

Its a very fun game that Ive spent hours playing But there are some things that could better It would be great if you would have a defense mode where you get some time to setup defenses and defend against attackers Anyways its still a great game that is worth every dime Ive spent                 Good game with great potential

Best game of its type available Ive been playing this game since it first came out and it has continued to improve with each update Well worth paying for the full version at first I was hesitant about buying the additional maps but now months later I dont miss that twenty bucks and I still play this game regularly on both my iPhone and iPad                 Outstanding

This game is amazing The ai is vary smart and I almost jump when one of my tanks get destroyed It makes it all the more enjoyable This game feels like close combat for iOS There are no glitches Ive met yet BUT can you make it so troops can go in halftracks Also can you add controllable troops and maybe can choose load outs for each troops Can you make a level editor and customizable load outs This game is vary enjoyable and therefor deserves 5 stars                 GREAT GAME

This is the first review I have ever wrote because I absolutely love this game This type of strategy game may not be original but it is executed amazingly As everyone else says there arent enough maps at least make one entire pack free and you have to buy the others But sometimes my tanks dont react to my fire fast enough and just sit there and get hammered by enemy tanks which take about three hits but one shot my tanks and enemy tanks have insane range Also HE artillery can never get the job done especially against armor And smoke seems almost useless right now After tanks are destroyed tank crews should be equipped with pistols or other weak gunnery Maybe you could add artillery tanks Also maybe add strafing runs from aircraft All in all this is an amazing game and it has tons of potential              Great Potential

If you like watching your tanks drive in circles and go nowhere near where you told them Or if you like watching your infantry sit in a spot for the ENTIRE game and not do anything then this is the game for you Seriously this game is garbage If you like pissing away 20 dollars then buy it     Horrible game

The game has real promise but it would be nice to have some defense scenarios rather than just all attack attack attack The maps are well detailed but way overused and having the same objective on each map renders them boring after only a few scenarios It would also be good to have an option to keep the map height contours at high zoom There are also some glitches with the AI such as units keep firing on destroyed tanks and antitank guns units sometimes appear unable to calculate routes and end up either stalling or taking ridiculous routes to get where they are told to go and exposing themselves to enemy fire units sometimes try to fire through friendly units or through obstacles such as houses           OK but still needs some work

I love the PC game Close Combat and this is the closest game Ive found on IOS 10 is a little pricey for the game as is but I paid it Get it closer to CC and it will be well worth it If the game maker wants this market Id try adding those different features soon I read Close Combat makers are looking at going to IOS If they do and have all or most features I think theyll take this market If this game expands though it will definitely give them a run for their money              Fun

I say the game is the best ever I play it more then ever but one thing is it should have more maps like everyone else and me has said buying some maps is ok but when you have to buy them all just to actually get deeper in the game kinda kills it also a campaign would be cool in my opinion I also like that it isnt multiplayer thats a big one so yeah more maps and thats about it other then that its a d good game              Good BUTTTT

Overall I think the game is fantastic Its hard but not impossible and I like the pace of gameplay which is slow and steady THE ONLY FLAW TO THE GAME IS THE PRICE Ill admit This game has potential But 20 is WAY too much for an ios game If it were 5 for the app I would have been perfectly ok with paying that Bottom line is that the price needs to be changed in order for this app to get anywhere but overall its a very fun game especially if you like Breach and Clear 710              Good game overpriced

I have been looking for a game like this for years Firefight is very similar to Close Combat A Bridge Too Far however after an hour the differences are glaring The battles arent very realistic in that a tank and an AT artillery piece can be right next to each other on the map and register multiple hits yet neither is destroyed Also the artillery support is a joke They never hit anything with the HE shells and the smoke option is laughable at best The squad command controls are clunky tap and drag style which makes it very difficult to issue precise orders I will still play this game as there is plenty of fun to be had despite the frustrations I look forward to gameplay improvements           Great potential

The game is amazing its really the only game like it on the App Store Period Every update gets better and better Is acutely over a hundred different unitsyes I said there is over hundred different units But the game could use a snow map or even a desert map and missions with tanks like the tiger 2 jagdtiger and the tiger Porsche                 Great game plus a few suggestions

Like most games its not going to be perfect needs multiplayer and free maps where you can see the German and British armies before you buy it But other than that its the best game made best strategic game I know of and shows real army fire fights              Almost there

The title says it all This game is a great game for what type of strategy game this is If your looking for something that closely resembles The a Close a Combat series Look no further The only problem I have with this game hints the 4 stars is the price is too steep for each map I would personally like to see the prices drop after the first map purchase Say you bought the third map at full price the rest of the maps should drop down to 99 cents That is the only problem I have with it The movement is great the way you can adjust your spread on the squads is just genius Like I said the prices are to steep after your first purchase              Pocket Close Combat

When I saw the twentydollar price tag I was a bit iffy However after buying all the maps I realized just how much content this game has I started playing at eight last night and figured Id go to bed at around ten Next time I checked the clock it was two in the morning and I was still playing Highly recommend              So fun

Pretty fun game especially if you are a fan of the Close Combat series I wish there were defensive scenarios where you would set up your troops to defend the flag rather than always attacking Other than that it is a good game with a decent amount of entertainment time for the money Hope they keep adding maps                 Fun Close Combat Style
