Suggestion for review readers don t avoid a good app based on two year old reviews This is a great app Especially if you are on and off your com uter a zillion times a day and in an environment where you prefer not to leave your computer accessible to others If you down load the app here then go to their website and read the instructions then download the OS app The iOS app will then prompt you to connect I do not get why there are reviews that say they have problems This is an awesome app that saves a ton of time Plus any time you don t have to key password for your computer login you avoid key hacks and time sign me up Oh and the fact that it is based on my finger print from my phone and not just the vicinity of my phone is a big security plus Great job hope you keep up the app and have continued success                     WORKS App5Bo55

I find the app works pretty well using Bluetooth connectivity The only issues I run into are 1 sometimes I receive several notifications in a row to swipe to logon 2 sometimes the computer is a little slow to wake up after not being accessed for several hours probably nothing to do with the app                 Works well SL55AMGuy

This is a very convenient app now I don t have to type in my password I can just use my iPhone 6s Plus to unlock my computer It was a little difficult at first trying to connect my phone with my MacBook Pro via Bluetooth because for some strange reason my iPhone won t connect via Bluetooth to my MacBook Pro Really Apple After going to the apps website and redownloading the app I m able to unlock my MacBook Pro Works like a charm even though in the Bluetooth settings it doesn t show my MacBook Pro weird                 Very Cool Cruzanxl

I am updating my review I was to delete this app from my phone because I really stopped using it a while ago It just didn t save enough time But just as I was about to delete it I noticed it had been updated I figured I d try it again Wow With the updated Mac app and the new proximity detection options the app is finally ready for daily use Now my Mac automatically locks when my phone steps out of the desired range Step back in and a notification pops up to unlock my Mac And the unlock speed is so much faster Still a double touch id but since I m prepped by the notification it goes so smoothly Well done Just bumped from the to five stars                     Much improved DavidEthell

I was skeptical about how well this app would really work but I bought it anyways based on reviews I d come across on various tech blogs I am using the app on my iPhone Apple Watch and MacBook Pro and everything works well together I needed support to help with the initial setup and the support staff was incredibly fast to respond and resolved the issue I had in just a few minutes                     Works as advertised Great support as well Faust3000

I finally found a working solution take a look at MacID I wanted this to work but there s no new features or updates to make things more stable     Not stable MacID works for me Teslaquila

It works but could be better The main issue is in order to use it you have to unlock your phone with touch most likely run the app swipe your computer click login then re apply your finger In short it takes more effort to use than typing my password If they could integrate notifications so it can detect your login attempt and notify you on your phone it would make the flow much more normal             Works Bobby T.

I have a 2011 IMac and a iPhone 6 Plus If I knew that my iPhone wouldn t connect to my iMac via Bluetooth I wouldn t have purchased the product I can t get the product to work because of the Bluetooth version required is 4 0 and my Macintosh cannot support that using Yosemite I m going to try to figure out how to get my money back that s the fair thing to do         Beware of Bluetooth versions RyanKnaggs

app works loosely 1 setup is cumbersome as one must go into iOS FingerKey app settings and select on for Touch ID an easy thing except it is NOT mentioned and without app will not work 2 if your Mac has been sleeping for an extended time screen computer in deep sleep wake its screen first to expose lock screen then the app did work for me close to 100 of the time inc widget while inconsistent if screen is black this seems to be a known issue with BT deep sleep and the other unlock apps talk about it too 3 absurdly Mac app chooses to swing 360 red line around your user image which shows thru the screensaver workaround is quit Mac app but that kind of makes no sense i am using two unlock apps one each to unlock my Mac from my iPhone AND iPad as haven t found one that allows multiple iOS devices tho some allow multiple Macs my other is the free Touch Unlock it locks unlocks and functions like a primetime app i have been able to make FingerKey usable but would happily replace it in the future esp when i get my Apple Watch some apps will use the Watch in a handily fashion         not ready for primetime there are better apps halcyon.days

Have a 2 month old iPhone 6 and a 2 week old Macbook Pro While the two devices DID pair up the app ONLY works to unlock your computer after SLEEP It will not login you in after a reboot it will not work for apps that prompt you to login all it will do is login after sleep What s the point of that I can type the password on the keyboard 10 times faster than opening this app swiping open login use touchID etc     Pairs up but that s all Cannot recommend at ALL Sidewinder666

My first thought when I saw this on lifehacker was Oh Awesome Now I can use Touch ID to unlock my Mac However when I tried pairing the app to my late 2012 iMac it would never complete the pairing process with the desktop app they direct you to download It d find my computer just fine but would never actually complete the pairing process despite me entering my password when prompted on my Mac     Pretty buggy generally doesn t work Goodmang

The app works as stated Just doesn t save you anytime logging on your PC You have to have your phone with you Open the app on your phone swipe your Mac name in the app and then place your finger on the iPhone home button It then takes another 5 or 10 seconds for your Mac to login Didn t time it but must take 10 to 20 times longer to login in as just entering your password Don t waste your time Apple needs to add this functionality to the Mac     Works but not worth it waste of money GoToMyPC Lover
