Just downloaded and input my print customer number Paired successfully but crashes every time I open Deleted duplicated process same outcome     Crashes

Installed app on new iPad and paid for subscription App will not open Tried to uninstallreinstall tried to reboot tried to contact apple to file a complaint and receive a refund with no success Dont waste your time or money     Unreliable app

They need to do some serious rework on this application As it is now it is extremely annoying and virtually unusable Very sad because I enjoy the publication and really wanted it on my iPad I ended my subscription over this its that BAD I check back from time to time to see if its fixed In the last year it has not been in fact its worse Removed and downloaded the App AGAIN 7212014 Same story I cant understand why they dont fix this application it is and remains garbage If the content of Fine Cooking wasnt important to me I wouldnt care but it is so I care and am frustrated The result I dont use it or subscribe anymore I will check back again in a few months I remain hopeful but have my doubts Checked back on the App again Still useless An update Ive now downloaded the App to my recently purchased iPhone 6 and it seems to be working Ive downloaded one previously purchased issue and it did so successfully Still the VERY annoying look at me animations pop up on every page Who came up with this stupid idea At least give purchasers who dont require or want your guidance the option to turn this feature off     Terrible Application

App does not work after you buy a subscription Either a bug or a scam Either way I am down 30 dollars and very angry     Fraud

If the other cooking magazines followed this format perhaps they could all benefit I find the ratio of advertisements to content very favorable Even at only six times a year I never get to cook all the things that I want to try and I cook at least 3 times in a sevenday Wonderfully chosen recipes with uniformly delightful presentation The Starman                 A Bargain at 6 times a year

I just found Fine Cooking today and I immediately started saving recipes to my new account I was so excited I couldnt stop searching The wealth of recipes is fabulous Then I saw the app and immediately downloaded it Thats where my excitement fizzled Why cant I access all the recipes I saved This app is 100 useless unless you have a subscription Id have happily paid for the app if I could get to my recipe box I was also considering ordering a subscription too until I read all the reviews for the app There isnt a way to save and search for recipes How am I supposed to remember what issue a recipe is in So very sad The only way for me to get to the recipes I saved is to access them via the website I was greatly hoping to be able to take my iPhone with me to the grocery store and shop from a recipe list within the app I had such high hopes for this app Im so very disappointed now Im not much of a print reader anymore but being to access that wealth of recipes on the go would have been priceless to me Id have paid for the app and a subscription to get it     Disappointed

Fine Cooking has been our favorite for years now I love being able to get it on our ipad                 Love it

When are you going to fix this ap It can no longer be opened     Fix it

I love just about everything to do with Fine Cooking magazine The only thing I dont like about this app is how it has weird bubbles that appear as the page is changed They quickly disappear though but it is distracting                 Fine Cooking Is Outstanding

I downloaded the app a while ago and I love having the magazine on my iPad I did experience a similar problem as other reviewers in that the latest issue download failed and told me to connect to WiFi I emailed the help desk and they were so helpful and diagnosed the problem as being low memory on my iPad I took off some of the photos and videos stored and it worked just fine after that Thank you so much for the technical supporta even though it wasnt your fault Im now back to normal and testing out new recipes on my family every week                 Problem solved thank you

I have not ordered this magazine and do not want to be charged for it as in the past     Fine cooking

I cannot open this App Downloading errors Cant even get to a help screen Just takes me back to my iPads home screen I have deleted and reinstalled This is my favorite magazine subscription     Please fix

I have used so many recipes from this mag and they were excellent They are not complicated as so many others                 Excellent app

Fine Cooking is one of my favorite magazines I am a long time subscriber However time after time I download an issue to find that it is gone a day or two later So frustrating Please fix     Magazine unloads

What is up with this app I love this magazine But cant get the app to open Have been trying for 3 days now Come on guys Get it together So annoying and frustrating       

I have nothing but positive things to say about this app My favorite feature is that there are hot links on each page that will take you exactly where you expect them to My second favorite feature is that you can see the hot links when you first land on a page From a content perspective I love the recipes in the magazine app Fine Cooking is the first magazine I go to to find a dish I want to cook                 Love this app

I get beautiful photo of pasta with asparagus Other than that nothing Frozen Deleted and reinstalled and same result     App wont open

I subscribed to the digital version to cut down on paper at home Its OK but takes forever to download Also the little circles that twirl when flipping some pages are awful and need to go Not sure why the Taunton mags have this           Good app but

Ive subscribed to Fine Cooking for over 10 years and love it I Pay for the online access which allows you to make your own recipe box This app does NOT allow me to access it Its really just an esubscription and a poor one at that A solid 2 thumbs down disappointment     Not very helpful

Unfortunately the app crashes soon after it is opened I only have a digital subscription and cannot access it Hopefully its fixed quickly     Crashes

Each edition takes over 10 minutes to download 300mb connection and you cant read the edition until is has downloaded in its entirety And thenthere are those annoying flashing dots on every page Yes I get they are hotspots but checkout the TOC page for the AugSep 2014 issue there must be 100 Gah Why not just tell us everything on the TOC is clickable and be done with it This one subscription I definitely will NOT let autorenew     Good magazine AWFUL app

After downloading not only was I able to download all of my prior issues the web links work greatly as well                 Personally the app is great with my subscription

The print magazine has topnotch content But their digital team should be fired I abandoned the app more than a year ago only to come back thinking Surely by now theyve fixed it Well not so surely Same problems including a download speed that requires several long minutes to even open an issue This is embarrassing for a publication of this size and quality     Painful

I have been a fan of Fine Cooking for many many years When it arrives in my mailbox I read it covertocover I love the articles tips howtos and of course the recipes But they have failed to successfully optimize all of this excellent content for digital and particularly mobile consumption All this really is is a digital edition of the magazine And they have made the same exact mistake so many print pubs make or used to make with their digital efforts They take content designed for the print format and more or less slap it down asis onto a digital platform rather than redesigning the content for the digital medium keeping in mind the user experience All they would have to do is ask themselves How do our readers want to use this content digitally In virtually all cases the answer will just not be the same as it would be for the print medium even when youre taking about the exact same content What I really get the magazine for are the recipes And unfortunately this app just does not do what I want it to which is compile all the recipes into one simple navigable interface so I can search for what recipe I want or by ingredient type of dish etc or just browse all of the recipes without having to go on and out of different issues and without having to zoom in and out on a recipe index page I mean if I know what issue a certain recipe is in I can just go pull it off my bookshelf I love you Fine Cooking But asis this is a useless app     Great Magazine Terrible App

I want to reiterate what was just said It is very sad that a fine print magazine cannot be current with technology I have tried using this many times on my iPad and it continues to crash It is extremely disappointing     Crashes and NO support

Initial download froze then tried to archive issue testing app feature but no archive icon or archive option available near cover on shelf as described in help If one subscribes to FC online the digital issue there is easier to deal with than this app Oh well deleted it        Not what expected

Love the magazine Appwell they are asking that I pay for 2 issues I already have paid for and for whatever reason its trying to download something From this app you can submit a question and get an answer Tried that twice but you get some obscure error There have been 1 or 2 updates which Ive donebutnothing Please fix these problems or dont have an app with your magazine     Very poor app

I downloaded the most recent update and like the other reviewers Im unable to launch the app Ive gone through multiple troubleshooting activities and the app still crashes Ive also downloaded the app on my ipad mini and it crashes on that device as well I cannot recommend that anyone purchase this app at this time     Latest update

I buy Fine Cooking magazine because it has worked flawlessly for me I dont think problems exist for legal users I can enlarge whatever and print be it a recipe or a cooking utensil I wish to acquire I leave hints I treasure them and like the ability to acquire a past issue of my choice                 I buy the best

As other reviewers have said the app only works sporadically and mostly not at all I was able to download two issues but cant come back and access them again and cant get any new issues I paid for a whole year six issues and ongoing digital access to all of them Im not going to buy any more subscriptions through itunes if this is how they are going to work Poorly done Apple     Want a refund

Ive been getting this magazine of over 16 months and suddenly after the latest OS update it wont work on iPad Plus I lost all of my past issues This is the worst app     Busted

Strange things happening with Taunton Latest FC mag would not download Then app began to dump to IOS Delete and reload Pair with mag subscription Same problem Repeat Paired Now not authorized to make purchase FC only Called Taunton Never heard of such a problem Solution suggested call Apple Let the finger pointing begin When the app worked it worked well Now for me useless Also Fine Woodworking is having graphic bugs As I described them Taunton never heard of that problem either One app bad I can work with But the second one getting buggy a trend Addendum deleted and redownloaded again Invoked the app which then disappeared from the screen Apple store now indicates that its there to open but its now assumed the characteristics of an invisible app Dont want to go through a complete iOS reload And it may be an iOS problem Decision time Taunton apps are the only ones giving me a hard time        Suddenly very buggy

This app and magazine are my favorites The writing recipes and photographs are excellent Its the only food and cooking magazine for actual cooks the others are just food porn for observers and restaurant diners or wannabe chefs I use these recipes and tips in my kitchen all the time especially at holidays I cannot tell you how many hours Ive spent enjoying cooking and eating from this app on my iPad And I dont understand what others have written about the functionality I have never had a problem with it launching or working on either my iPad 1 and 3 or iPhones from iPhone 3 4 5 and now 6                 I Love FC

This is just a copy of each print magazine page and because the copy is one inch shorter than the iPad screen the type and photos are small The resolution is not equal to the clarity of the retina display so this is a digital copy rather than a digital edition The price of this subscription is the same as the print plus digital subscription price which makes little sense considering that the digital quality is far inferior to the print magazine quality        App needs work

I love the magazine but HATE this AppWorst ever     PLEASE FIX this App

The best cooking magazine on the market NOT a womens magazine with a few recipes amongst a zillion adverts But a true cookers magazine The recipes are well written clear and concisethe sequence of working through the recipe is logical and easily understood And if you have digital access to Fine Cooking the quality of the one line magazine is incomparable to any other cooking magazine on the market                 Rating

Every time I try to download the JuneJuly issue it says there is a download error and to check my connection There is nothing wrong with my connection Im even currently hooked up to wifi     Download error
