Alternate side parking in Brooklyn means my wife and I are constantly parking several blocks away This app lets us find the car easily even if you werent the last one to move it Just remember that all parkers need to share the same Dropbox                 Perfect for the City It Works

I have 3 find my car apps and a parking meter app All nice for your typical geek However in real life I dont always get a chance to use them Either Im in a rush or more importantly my wife is in a rush Enter Find My Car Smarter herein after referred to as FMCS for obvious reasons This a true nobrainer app Onetime setup run the app and forget its there It knows when and where you park and marks the spot for you while still running in the background Only uses GPS momentarily unless the app is open so no big battery drain Bluetooth beacon is a bit pricey at 25 but what can you do Totally worth it the first time you forget where you parked I ordered it on Friday and it arrived in Tuesdays mail Wow UI is a bit unintuitive Couldnt figure out a couple of features web site didnt help However publisher VERY responsive to email and all questions answered quickly Initial testing looks good It says Im within 20 feet of car even when Im right next to it but I think thats not the apps fault Will test more in coming weeks under real conditions A help mode and a bit more intuitive UI will gain FMCS the 5th star              Pretty Awesome

There are other apps to accomplish this Some of them unlike this app are well thought out and designed This one started right out asking me to buy a piece of hardware That made my heart sink Then they said just kidding you do not need it after all I did not appreciate that Worse I could not figure out what to do There is an update button but I had nothing to update Sometime later I realized that maybe that button is the park my car button Anyway it went on like this All kinds of things that were not obvious badly designed and hard to figure out I suggest you try some other apps I found several that are beautifully built     Use another app with a good design

1 murders the battery on several iPhone 5s disabling location svcs for FMC fixes this 2 parking time should be flexible like the reminder before time expires Max time is 1 hour and there is a ton of 2 hour parking but I cannot set a limit of more than 1 hour        Fantastic appexcept

This is an AppHardware combo youll forget about until you need it and then its the best App on your phone I did find it a little weird using the map to find my lost carthe compass seemed to swing wildly making it tough to figure out which way to go But it did get me close enough to locate the car visually so Im still giving it a thumbsup              Lifesaver

This app is the best I have found I park in a large parking lot at work everyday and this app greatly reduces my time of remembering where I parked after a long day                 Awesome

This system with the beacon is an absolute life saver I work in a crowded office park where the parking lot is open in all 4 directions and at the end of the day I can never remember which direction I parked This app makes it so easy                 Lifesaver

Does exactly what it says it will do Have not fully explored the Dropbox integration where it will tell multiple users where the car is Will try to remember to update review when I do For the next version it would be nice to allow you to put in how much time you paid for on the parking meter so you can compare that to Ye time parked Very happy with it so far                 Great app

I have this installed on both my own and my wifes car Fortunately there is a hidden outlet inside the center console that suits the little bluetooth dongle perfectly Many is the time that weve left the movies at the mall from a different entrance than when first entered lost our orientation and this app proved to be a godsend It clearly identifies exactly where the car was parked within 10 ft all amongst a sea of similar cars Very useful tool for the modern age My only wish is for more identification tools for when inside a multistoried parking garage It would be great if it knew what floor as well as the general position                 After more than a years use Im still impressed

Of all the apps I downloaded over the years this is in the top 3 with Nest and Sonos I have to admit that this is the second time I am writing a review The first time was a friend who developed an app that wasnt so good but he needed a good review and now If you park your car on the street in dont think twice this is the app for you                 Wow

I travel extensively for work and use this every time Last winter I nearly got frostbite roaming the airport parking lot at Chicago ohare Even thought I wrote down the section snow covered all the cars and I couldnt find mine Now I launch the app while on the tram and walk right to my car And if I am not traveling with any Bluetooth gear once I am parked I unplug the USB dongle from my car and disable Bluetooth on my phone The app will remember where you parked and still get you thereeverytime                 No more roaming parking lots

Now this is a real parking app Set it and forget it Its automatic and just works when you want it                 Works great

What can I say This just works Backed the dongle on kickstarter and have been using this ever since It just works On the rare case when I forget what I put my car I look at the app and its got the data for me Dont have to launch it often but when I do its nice to know it will work                 Have been using since kickstarter

This has got to be one of the slickest things Ive seen in quite a while The USB dongle you purchase from the developer arrived within 5 days with adapter either purchased with the dongle or supplied by you plugs into your 12 volt power outlet the cigarette lighter From then on when ever you power off your vehicle the app on the iPhone detects the loss of signal from the dongle and makes note of its current postion With the Dropbox integration my wifes iPhone has access to the same location information The ability to have mindless integration every time your vehicle is parked is nice insurance Its not like you cant remember 99 of the time But there are those times where you have a lapse in memory Even if you do remember 100 of the time and if you have ever swapped cars or picked up a vehicle you did not park yourself this itemapp combo is priceless Just a heads up though if your vehicle does not power off the outlet you have this dongle plugged into when the vehicle is parked it will not function Best to test this outlet first                 Wonderful

I have only needed to use this app once at a major sporting event with a large parking lot and a long walking distance from the event This app took me directly to my vehicle at night without one wrong step I have used other free and paid apps and was always misdirected this app is a keeper                 Okay App

The spot where it shows I parked is normally 15 to 100 feet from the actual location but that is probably close enough to find my car Ive never had to rely on it but it is a fantastic idea Sometimes the map is spastic and keeps zooming in and out Updatethis app does not play well if you also use Automatic app              Works well
