This game is one of the best on the Apple Store however the movement controls are big slow and dont optimize from phone to iPad I play games with the movement control to my left side and as low as possible on screen but with FF6 the controls are too slow to react to different finger placements quickly they stay on the screen too long even after you lift your finger and so big that on my iPhone 5 they get cut off on the bottom making me lose downward and left movements until I readjust and take up a too large portion of the screen if I raise it up higher This is the only thing that I would want changed or hope gets changed in updates Other then that this game is amazing              Great game awful controls

Ive played the original game when I was kid in the nineties and I loved it then as much as I do now After playing the iOS version through too completion twice now I have to admit this game its near flawless in my opinion Dont get me wrong I still hold the original game in very high regard but its nice to have an updated version thats a sight for sore eyes The first thing that captured my attention in the iOS version was the crisp vibrant colors It really brings the game to life apart from the duller nineties version I also liked the recap or summary of each chapter in the Configuration menu It helps you stay fresh on where youre at in the story and how much of the story is left to complete The controls seem a little clunky and take some getting used to but thats only minor a annoyance Overall Id grade this version 48 out of 5 stars Its not perfect but its close I know the fan boys and three traditionalists are going hate but haters gonna hate If youre wondering whether or not you should buy this game then I promise you can take my word for it Youll love this game especially if youre already familiar with the genre and series                 Final Fantasy VI for iOS8 is a Smashing Success

I tried I really tried But the controls are just too bad Youll activate things on accident Anything that requires dexterity is impossible Why a simple touch to go here option or even a simple anchored DPad werent implemented is beyond me And the worst part this is my favorite game of all time and the controls wont let me play it Save your money and by 15 games that are actually playable        Great game ruined by controls

Introduction I can remember renting the original US version Of course many reading this remember it was released as the 3rd installment in the US Now this was shortly after I had completely mastered the previous US installment at the time which is a masterpiece I might add So needless to say I was foaming at the mouth SquareEnix formally Squaresoft at that time had created a game that would consume 100s of hours of my life This is a game that I will play through every year or two and the many ports of the game had kept that tradition alive for me Personal Review This game really has it all A huge cast and every character is unique and memorable Not to mention each character brings unique qualities which creates dynamic and all around great gameplay Also I like the fact that they have included a lot of the little things from the original Japanese game Although these qualities alone warrant a solid dedicated play through the best quality is the story line itself This game is set in a world where the art of magic has been lost and magical creatures known as espers are all but forgotten in the present world The world is on the brink of war as an evil empire seeks global dominance through the use of magitek technology which is a fusion of machine and watered down magic Their conquest of seeking any form of magicespers is oddly reminiscent of tales of the nazi army seeking inner earth and other strange things Ultimately it is up to the people to rise up and fight A resistance to bring down the beast This is where your story beginscan you defeat the empire and save the world Comments Now the art style of the current iOS port I was initially concerned with However after playing a few hours I have learned to love it This game is wonderful If youre a fan of JRPG style games this classic is a must play This game is arguably the best in the series Bugs So far I have not noticed any bugs UPDATE Potential Spoiler before potential spoiler and after potential spoiler After completing each scenario in the early game Completion Order Terra Sabin Locke my blackbelt relic was missing once each party reached Narshe and yes I fully unequipped Shadow The relic was worn on Cyan and I did not unequip the party before the completion Sabins scenario This is a bummer because it will take a while before another is available and counter attack is a useful ability Complaints The one complaint I do have is that occasionally when the game is running in the background and then it becomes the active application the game goes to the title screen I suggest using the quick save feature and save often also upload to iCloud often Dont get me wrong I can return texts surf the web look at iBooks etc It seems to happen only if the game has been in the background for a decent length of time It is by no means game breaking It would be nice if there were a special reserved quick save slot just for this For example use the app switcher and select any other app or home screen At this time the game is running in the background At this point the game would automatically save in a special quick save slot At the title screen you would then have the option of new game load game resume and resume from quick save or something of the sort This can potentially save players that happen to play the game for a lengthy amount of time and dont save then place the app running in the background Most people do not do this but eventually it will happen at least once even to the best of us Rating Recap Graphics 55 For what it is it looks polished and overall great Sound 55 This game has an excellent selection Some of the best video game music ever Search for Kurikinton Fox on YouTube just for some over all Final Fantasy goodness Gameplay 55 Very fun with many different gameplay features It even has slots Story 55 Simply a masterpiece                 Nostalgia at its best

I was a huge fan of this game when it first came out for SNES A few things about this version that Im not a fan of 1 Controls are so horrible they make the game almost unplayable Just maneuvering through so basic areas is extremely difficult because the gamepad is absolute garbage May be better if they offer an option to make it stay put 2 Random dialog Esper names and even spell names changed Why Seems to be no reasoning behind this and its kind of disappointing 3 Sometimes game stays paused when minimized other times it just autosaves and quits lucky for me though it has been doing quicksaves when this happens Overall still awesome Worth the money Maybe not But then again it IS FF6 so Id buy it again           Pretty good

Wellthis is itthe end of my journeyand To say it has been utterly life changing would be a massive understatement I just finished FF Vl the day before yesterday but Im not writing the review until now because honestly I needed a day of reflection to process all Ive been through on this emotional 45 hour adventure Ill be honest when I first started playing this game I didnt think it would even come remotely close to being as good as FF5 but in the end not only did FF6 completely OBLITERATE FF5 but it completely obliterated probably ever video game ever created besides Resident Evil 4 and Ocarina of Time Im going to put it all out thereI cried like a newborn when I beat the game I guess all the extremely emotional moments Ive experienced in this masterpiece just flooded out of me and I just friggn lost it I understand now why this game has been hailed as one of the greats in the franchise and why it got editors choice in the App Store To tell you the truth Im a little nervous about playing FF7 whenever the do finally add it to the store because FF7 is widely considered the absolute best in the series and if thats the caseomg I cant even fathom it haha FF6 was simply a life altering experience to me The ending is something everyone human being needs to expirence And the final battle against Kefkaoh my goodness It is INSANELY EPIC As a matter of fact you might even notice that youve stopped breathing several times throughout the massive 4 stage finale as I have Along with whispering the words Im so scared over and over to myself hahaahh good times lol Well there you have itFF16COMPLETED Thanks again for all the priceless memories Square EnixI will cherish them forever                 My life will never be the same

Ive been wanting to play a JRPG for a while and everywhere I looked Final Fantasy VI came up so I decided to give it a try I know a lot of people are complaining about the controls so Im not going to talk about that The story is one of the best Ive ever experienced and I still think about it months after I completed it The characters are charming and unforgettable The secret items you can find are amazing I found myself asking how I would be able to beat the game without them As most JRPGs require you to grind for xp for hours Final Fantasy VI has you level up as youre approaching the next boss so that you are strong enough to beat it on your first or second try Except for the end youll need to level up a bit on your own time It was a really enjoyable and immersive experience I recommend that everyone that enjoys video games play this masterpiece as soon as possible                 One of the best games Ive ever played

I forgot how much I loved the jrpg games This game brings me back to my childhood with upgraded graphics and sound Everyone should give this game a go its the game that started a jrpg revolution in North America                 True to the SNES

the control for this game is extremely frustrating its so bad that I deleted this app after three days of playing I couldnt take it anymore its ruined the classic fun of this game completely I want my money back DO NOT BUY M     worst controls on an iPad game yet

I was overjoyed to see this game was being ported to iOS I grant Square Enix much gratitude that they made this port crosscompatible between iPhone and iPad with your saves going into the cloud That means you can use the iPhone on the go and your iPad when you prefer However there is a major bug Several users were unable to get the sound to work after iOS 8 came out I found two forums on the web where users reported this issue Playing this game without Nobuo Uematsus score is like watching Star Wars on mute the music is part of the immersion into the story For some dropping the notification window and then closing it fixed the sound however for some that fix doesnt work I am among the unfortunate buyers who this fix does not work for I cannot seem to find anywhere to submit a bug report so I am hoping the developers will see this post and try to fix it Ill happily change this to a five star review once this situation is resolved        No Sound on iOS 8 Do A Google Search First

This game is a classic Incredible and a joy to play However the controls are terrible The movement is beyond bad I truly hope they patch this to includ a stationary movement pad If they fix this issue I would give the game 5 stars hands down        2 Star for port not the game

This is one of my all time favorite gamesapps The story is awesome and the game is a blast however the controls are so frustrating So frustrating Sometimes it takes like 30 seconds just to align your character to talk with someone              GRRRRR the controls are awful

The remastering is perfect and gorgeous but the movement controls are really frustrating I hope this will be improved with the update           My favorite game of all time

Not only are the levels incredibly difficult to navigate because the walls are all crooked and jagged but the save points are STUPIDLY far apart to the point where its incredibly frustrating to play If you screw up one battle you get set back 2 hours of gameplay Who decided this was one of the greatest RPGs of all time        Who Designed This MESS

One of the major points of this game update for ios was the use of game saves to the cloud Sadly thats gone and therefore the game is now useless The second I update my device or buy a new one boom saves are gone iCloud saves will simply not connect to the cloud to allow upload or download They should fix this so people can play as the game originally mentioned Horrible and cant play until they do fix it doubt they ever will update still broken after May update     iCloud saves broken

I am really enjoying this however I sometimes have trouble making my characters go where I need them to go Maybe in addition to the different controls you could have touch screen controls as well If You do this then I will gladly give you a 5 star rating              Great game but

I spent so many hours playing this in its FF3 release form This was a must have title to play on iOS however having spent some time playing the game the familiar cast and events I loved so dearly are quickly pushed aside by the frustrations of the virtual control pad Ive been tempted to through my device at times The updated graphics are very appreciated and revisiting this title once again is wonderful but the struggle with the controls is killing this game for me If only I could tap on the screen to where I wanted the grouphero to travel and thats where they moved to The virtual controls are Dated and unwelcome           Nostalgic Without Modern Control

I am a huge fan of the original SNES version It is great to have the nostalgic trip back for the story on the go Just a few complaints that have all been summarized in the reviews Some of the sprites just look odd dont have the same feel as the surroundings like the old ones did Also not a big fan of the directional control Please anchor this in one of the lower corners It makes navigation a bit difficult at times Otherwise thanks for a decent remake              Ok reboot

Besides the controls being frustrating the game is now completely stuck where a boss fight should occur I am on top of the tower surrounded by followers and it says return the treasure and nothing happens I cant move or do anything and the music continues on     Frozen unable to continue Please fix

It is a great port of the original except the controls are off I find myself constantly talking to npc over and over The opera scene is difficult due to it being tough to move your character           The controls are off
