This app and money system has been a game changer when it comes to our family finances My kids are now doing chores and extra activities around the house regularly because they know money will be added to their card They pay for snacks and other necessities which I believe is making them more aware when it comes to money                     Game Changer for Family Finance Mzzmac79

Started our son with a small allowance and a bit of Bank of Dad interest rate when he was seven You have to let your child make their own decisions about when to spend the money in their account so that they have the experiences both of spending too much and the experience of saving and watching compound interest work Our son is now ten and saves most of his allowance                     Great teaching tool Mike Laursen

I ve used FamZoo for probably 3 4 years now and I love it I m a firm believer in teaching kids about financial responsibility early and FamZoo is a GREAT tool If we are out and they want to buy something they know exactly what they have and we can see the history in a moment I like that it helps them save and put aside for giving and we ve also used the loan tool Starting about a year ago I began utilizing the debit card for my now 14 year old son It s awesome practice for him and I can load it on the fly if he is out or in an emergency I ve had a couple of occasions when I ve had to contact FamZoo and their customer service is super responsive friendly and helpful I think VERY highly of FamZoo and would recommend without ANY reservation Thanks for what you all do BTW their newsletter free is fabulous                     Easy to teach financial responsibility KBFBUY

I m a busy Homeschool Mom with 4 boys I generally like this App but it is a pain to set up difficult to make changes to I have contacted the developer sever times for suggestions and they don t seem to receptive to making changes This makes me wonder why I am paying for a subscription service that doesn t take users suggestions seriously They need to 1 Allow you to drag items on the checklist to make changes 2 First Dibs list should have option for only one kid to check off         Needs to be more user friendly HMiller76

We decided to wait until we had used the service for a full year before writing a review I renewed our subscriptin for 2 more years today I can t even imagine going without FamZoo anymore Both of our kids age 12 14 now LOVE their FamZoo accounts Their friends almost always end up telling their parents that they want FamZoo too We follwed one of the more complete examples that are on the website for setting up allowance flow based on both expected chores as well as optional extra chores that they can choose to do for extra money They have a spending account a charitable giving account and a savings account Their allowance is split to give a certain to spending charity and savings automatically We also give a matching to their Savings Account to give extra incentive for saving This is also set up to be automatic I love that all of that can be fully automated by the way we configure the accounts They may use the spending account at their own descretion we don t put any restrictions on the use of that money They may also take out a loan from their savings account up to 50 of its balance It automatically charges them interest on their loan and we limit the number of weeks they can take to pay it back We also have a special account for each of them called Controlled Spending This is the account into which we deposit money for a specific purpose like when it s time to buy school clothes We put a specific amount in and the transaction is noted with what it s for They can spend that amount with their own discretion but it must be on the intended purpose like School Clothes or some other event We then spend the additional amount we choose to buy them the items we know they will need for that purpose and they can spend their allocation the way they want to without asking The transformations in their money matters over the last year has been incredible No more asking for money for everything they want at the moment no more can i get this everytime we go in any store no more wondering how much we actually gave them in a moth and on and on and on They have learned how to purchse their own items and pay for them with their cards and use their PINs with the cards They now understand sales tax and have already learned delayed gratification Since they can check their account balances at any time with their iPhone app they can look to see how much they have and decide to wait until they have enough for the item they want instead of always begging us to just get it for me We can drop in money in instantly if an emergency situation happens while they are away from home We can drop in a reward transaction for academic performance if we feel like it We can also ding them monetarily if something that we expect to be done does not get done The benefits go on and on Since my wife and I also budget the descretionary money we each get a month we have also moved our allowances to our FamZoo cards I cannot understand my every parent does not have this service We have had probably 5 of our friends put their families on it already or they are getting ready to It also forces us to be good at allocating the budget each month so that the money that needs to go into the FamZoo money flow is there each month which helps us control our budget The customer service when we needed help has been above and beyond great It s so nice to have someone that you can understand and who also understands everything you say They have helped us on everything from simply explaining how to set up something we wanted to do to figuring out why Amazon was having an issue using the Famzoo cards on my 1 click purchase option EVERY issue we have ever had has been resolved quickly and professionally Usually we get a follow up email from the owner of FamZoo to make sure everything was resolved Hard to believe in these days but nice The ONLY compaint we have heard is that our older child and some of the older children of our friends that have joined expecially the teen boys is that they don t think the FamZoo logo is cool They would like the option to choose some other designs for their cards This is minor and they have solved it with stickers of things they like OK that s my review for the first year It s a completely honest review from just us regular parents I am sure someone else may find a few other nit pick items that could improve but almost everything about it for us has been positive I would not want to ever have to go back to passing out cash to our kids ever                     Awesome App Even Better Service ReggaeGeek

We ve been using FamZoo for 3 1 2 years it s a great way to manage money for kids Now that our girls are in middle school they regularly check how much money is in their accounts Being able to automatically deposit weekly allowance is like getting a paycheck for kids And being able to take out money for spending gives them control over their own finances This app has enabled us to put a monetary penalty on bad behavior it s teaching our girls how interest is earned on money in savings it pays to save and it gives our girls a start on thinking about charitable contributions We couldn t imagine managing kid s money without FamZoo Love it                     Awesome Piggybank for Kids Patti-o

I have been using this app for several years and I love it No more jars of money no more forgetting to bring cash to the mall no more forgetting to dole out allowances every weekend This solves all of those problems When my kids want to buy something I just say yes let s see how much money you have A few taps on my phone later and they are deciding whether or not to spend their money In addition to the weekly money going in to the account my older son has monthly deductions for his portion of the phone bill and the meal program at school He gets a large allowance and is learning about ongoing expenses He s very proud that he is the only kid among his friends who pays for his i e phone bill We would be spending that money anyway this puts the financial choices in his control Customer service is very responsive too                     Great way to manage allowance notanewbie

We were first exposed to FamZoo when we went out to eat with family friends and each of their three kids were responsible for buying their own meal As a busy family of five they are out frequently and used the Debit cards from FamZoo as a way to teach their kids the value of a dollar We took the plunge about 9 months ago and have found it to be an effective way to track chores implement penalties and give our daughters 8 and 10 visibility into their accounts as they save for bigger purchases We are also use this approach for their weekly tithe on all they earn to separate into spend save and give categories We tried all of the manual approaches and never stayed with them long This has been a great app to teach our kids more about money and responsibility                     Modern Approach to Piggy Banks Jars and Chore Charts Hook asp

After Paypal student program discontinued November 2016 we were on search for an alternative So far FamZoo didn t disappoint Best service support had issue with linking to Paypal account and they helped it to resolve very friendly mobile app and website very easy to use and plenty of reports and options to choose One minus one day to wait for money be loaded from Paypal but that if you only use Paypal as your loading option there other options but most not free unless it direct deposit if your paycheck                     Best option for kids nzolotar
