While it sorta worked when I first got it in 2013 it s totally useless now It no longer finds iTunes and just keeps telling you to download it Of course iTunes won t download because you already have it Nuts     Now Useless thudflyer

This app works well It does a good job or separating tracks It then converts them from wav to mp4 in the background to save space You can then transfer to your computer nice So more specifics I have a turntable hooked up to an older receiver I used an iRig analog to hook the headphone jack out on my receiver to the input on the iPad I recorded an album using the app I used the wifi server built in to share songs to my computer I had to wait for the mp4 conversion to happen but it wasn t too long I threw the songs into audacity and trimmed some empty space off the beginning end of a couple tracks I then used the filter noise removal on the files I used the normalize filter and finally exported to mp3 All in all it s a lot of steps but it s not hard The final result sounds good for a record from 1982                 Works well ClintiePoo

This software is garbage I have wasted a lot of time trying to get a decent recording It keeps quitting and going back to a previous screen or otherwise glitching out and performing poorly I really regret spending any time with it at all I ve been wrestling with software good and bad for years and this is outstandingly bad     Pure garbage S Charlesworth

Worked until iOS 7 1 update on iPhone 4s Now it force closes when I play and when you open app again it s frozen none of buttons work Uninstalled and reinstalled but still crashes Pls fix for iOS 7 1 Gave 2 stars cause it worked until iOS 7 1         Crash and freezes on iOS 7 1 Ce's phone

When i got the app i had to figure a way to connect a usb turntable to my ipad iphone I needed a usb adapter that fit the 30 pin dock outlet on the ipad So i went to the store and got the Apple ipad cam connector And it worked fine except that as i was in a vinyl to ipad recording session i got an ipad crash At other times a pop up saying not enough space to record i had 6 gb On iphone and the touch and ipad mini wont except the cam connector Pop up says this accsesory uses too much power My old ipad has been givin away And so i have no way of using this app through a connector Is there one that works with all the new gen ipads phones itouch     I ve used this app and heres the result djsonic

The unit itself is garbage Needle pops 90 of the time Tried adding a little weight to it and helped a tiny bit The software is faulty for example when you have headphones plugged in during a recording session the sound cuts out when the iPhone or iPad go to sleep I guess I ll spend a little more money and get a better turntable and just record it to my computer through a audio converter     Junk DJSeanb

This app records well audio seems good and it s definitely simple too simple in fact It doesn t have enough options like renaming song tracks you have to name each one as you record it or it will permanently be labeled track 1 etc Also the auto track split NEVER works so I have to split and name each song manually which is extremely time consuming Why can t they add the option to adjust the gap length and audio level threshold I guess the app registers the white noise popping between tracks on the LP as music so it won t split tracks Very poor design considering this app is designed specifically for LPs which all have some background noise even between songs             Decent app but needs basic options Smartshopper101

On the iPad app it seemed to work okay for a few minutes then stopped recording and said there s a problem make sure you have at least 1G of memory on the device I have 7 6 but it still stops recording I even closed all the apps and restarted the device and now it stops recording after only a few seconds Useless     Mixed results oakndog

Good sound The levels seem pretty well configured for a bunch of different records Didn t have to due much slidering Recommend you listen to the breaks between songs and if there aren t clear fades and some silence opt to do some tracks manually Also found out that if I have the USB cable attached to a pc before powering it won t see my iOS device on the dock I think this can also be used as a pc input so it s logical it can only use one source at a time If I just remove the USB and power off on the iOS device is seen every time                 All the goodness of my Vinyl Joromo3

The sound quality sounds exactly like the record It doesn t really split up the songs properly but it does it sometimes when the songs are distinguished from each other and there is a break I think the app has been fixed since these first few reviews They need to make it possible to custom edit the songs and separate them from each other It s not even that expensive so it s great for the price                 Mine worked perfectly ibemikeking

This app will never work with an iPhone until they or we figure out how to disconnect the phone microphone One would assume this would happen when you plug it into the dock but it doesn t To prove it plug your phone into the record player dock start the app hit record and start talking and you will get a perfect recording of your voice I come from the 70 s and this should never happen with a recording device all recorded sound must come ONLY from the source and not from external sources We solved this problem in the 70 s with physical wires RCA cables going from the source output directly into the recorder input and only the sound going through those cables would be recorded This device does work with the computer app and USB cable but now we are back to a hardwire situation This device may work with an iPod or an iPad without a microphone but my old iPod is still running iOS 3 so I can t test it program requires iOS 4 and above     Why this app doesn t work Randallag

It gets the job done for me Girlfriend bought it as a gift I ve uploaded a 45 and a 33 Both worked perfect It caught exactly where the songs ended Named them easily Not a bad app Maybe it s a fluke iPhone 4 iOS 6 1             I don t get the problem Completelyrandom

It s hard to set up and doesn t interface on the iPad with iTunes you have to hook your computer up and let things sync it is Terrible at recognizing where songs begin and end It would have been easier to just record my album to disc and stick the disk in the computer since I have to use the computer anyway     Worse than awful Aregularcustomer

I ve tried numerous times to record an LP to my iPad but it crashes each time a minute or two into the song without recording anything This is worthless It s going back to the store and the app will be deleted Frustrating garbage     Returning it deejayn

Great idea but the track separation mode works hit or miss so if it doesn t work and you don t catch it you ve got a 12 minute single track that actually contains 3 or 4 songs And if you don t name the tracks right away you miss your chance Can t go back and name them in listening mode This renders the thing useless for me for this reason the main reason I got this is so I can catalogue my vinyl collection so I don t have to listen to my records as much thus wearing them down If I have to re record a track again I ve played it another time with a sub par needle stylus mind you causing more wear tear than if I just listened to it like I normally do This should be an easy fix ion 1 Make it so after recording an album you can go back and separate tracks and name them be able to change the names at any time 2 Make an auto stop so that after the side of the record ends it doesn t just keep on recording thus making a 2 00 track into a 2 30 track with 30 seconds of fuzz at the end 3 Make the library more interactive I want to be able to play on shuffle mode I want to have folders for separate artists albums genres etc as it stands to listen to your playlist all you can do is start one song and just let it play down the list I want to hook my iPad up to my home audio system and play my vinyl recordings on shuffle for parties etc Do these simple things and it will be an amazing app         What the what Chad Harrington

Not sure about the other reviews but I am using the blizzard of 2013 and being housebound to finally taking the time and using this App and transferring some music to my iPad and find it works great No crashing no pausing no baby sitting my device I am using the ionLP system i bought at Bed Bath and Beyond with my iPad and my 8 year old is fascinated by what an LP is Only thing I didn t know when I bought it was it only works with I devices that you can download an app for I have an iPod nano and obviously now that I know an app is required I realize that wont work Guess I could record from the ionLP to my laptop and then to my iPod nano For now I will hook up my iPad through my Bose system and finally get to listen to all my classics Love it                 Problem corrected Blizzard2013

System setup iPhone 4S iOS 5 1 1 iLP turntable is connected to the line input not Phono of an Onkyo receiver Records to iPhone fine No hum No crashes yet But the Track Splitting feature simply does NOT work I have to sit by the iLP through every recording session in order to press the New Track button at the exact moment between songs Very annoying and time wasting Also there is no way to modify the recording bitrate in this app as opposed to recording to your PC or Mac And the resulting MP3 audio sounds pretty bad compared to the source LP which may also be attributed to the low quality of the stylus cartridge on the iLP device itself One 1 positive note the Track Naming function works as one might expect you only have to enter the Artist and Album name only once thank God On the negative side you cannot edit the track info once you hit Done So if you make a mistake and need to change you re screwed Worst of all is the fact that you cannot import the recordings directly into the music library on your iPhone or iPod You must first Share the recordings to iTunes on your PC or Mac then sync them back onto the iDevice where they were recorded in the first place Not sure the reason for this convoluted requirement but it makes the claim that you can record directly to your iPod somewhat a marketing deception if not an outright LIE As for the iLP USB device itself the fact that it does not charge your iDevice while docked means that you cannot record for long periods of time but must continually remove it to recharge Neither can you output audio from your iPod through this device What a missed opportunity to sell this device as an optional docking station ION has not disappointed me yet with their consistency in poor product designs In summary the iLP and EZ Vinyl combo is a nice cheap toy for light uses it is not meant for demanding vinyl conversion jobs As such it is worth no more than 70 But I would definitely pay twice that if it were a real product         Terrific Idea Terrible Execution Zen Archer

This app is actually not as great as I thought it would be When I put my phone on the dock it doesn t recognize the connection and I just get all this background noise Also the track splitting feature does not work at all The player is fine but the app is kind of useless It s a shame     Not very useful Randomnessxtreme

This app only seems to work if you turn off sleep on your phone and do not split the tracks as you record You end up having to identify each track which is annoying if you get caught up in the music and forget to do that         Not great Jcnapili

Bought the ION Turntable at Bed Bath Beyond 49 99 with another 20 off that Came home loaded the APP on Touch Gen 4 dug my old amp out of the attic hooked up the amp and speakers Put on the Cream album recorded Badge and Crossroads And Bob s Yer Uncle for those who missed the Uncle reference It worked just fine Now to clean up the 150 or so 40 year old LPs                     Works for me bclark82

My first exposure to this app was not entirely positive The vinyl to mp3 exchange is great when it works I thought I was recording 11 songs what I ended up getting was 5 songs The crazy thing is that there were no warning signs that the app was failing intermittently I say intermittently because 3 songs recorded from the front side and only 2 from the back What s even crazier is that the app skipped songs like it would record one skip two record one Lets get the kinks worked out people         Needs Work 414adrian
