Eye Calculus - the colorblind assistant - using augmented reality helps adjust the view of the world for people with color vision deficiency, or Color blindness. Features of Eye Calculus include: - Live transformation of the view ...
I have Deuteranopia redgreen and yellowblue colorblindness so this is an important area for me Think of this app as three vision utilities in one The three are all different and they operate independently As an example you cannon magnify when in the color identity or deficiency compensation functions One at a time here are my thoughts on the three functions The color deficiency compensation function doesnt seem too helpful unless Im looking at a Pseudoisochromatic Plate colorblindness test then the test is easily passed using the three isolation filters I have yet to figure out what the three Daltonization filters are for The magnifier is fine Its nice to have reverse video on tap There are many other magnifiers that have continuous zoom by pinching your fingers together on the screen or you can just use the phones camera and zoom in so there are many good magnifier options Regarding the color identifier I tried several of these and found this one to be the best for live color naming I like the 134 color pallet best as there wasnt quite enough discrimination between the 30 or 9 color pallets for me The white balance is important and this is the only identifier that had it If you can stand static color ID try colorView as an alternative or addon One other minor thing this app does not support portrait viewing only landscape Overall Ill keep this on my device but Im not sure how much I will use it           Three apps in one with some unique and interesting features
