English Swedish Dictionary

Im still learning Swedish words but these arent right by far perhaps in another Swedish dialect these are correct but not from what Ive learned Some words match some do not     Inaccurate

Not to great I dont think I am learning Swedish and a very important part is whether the nouns are en or ett it affects everything and this dictionary does not indicate that so it wasnt helpful to me        No en or ett distinction with nouns

The best feature of this app is that it works offline unlike some of the other similar apps It contains most of the words I need and usually contains every possible translation That said this app can use lots of improvement For starters its nearly useless without a good Swedish language dictionary as it doesnt contain any grammatical notes no gender no plurals no conjugation I use the Big Swedish Dictionary but the Svenska Akademien just released the SAOL app which is wonderful and free and can be used to look up all this missing information Another annoyance with the app is its search feature Among other things it treats å ä and a like the same letter and likewise to ö and o While its convenient to not have to type the extra vowels when using the English keyboard if I do type träd I dont want to have to scroll past tråd and tråd before I get to the word I wanted The main issue with this app however and one that cannot be fixed by using it in conjunction with another app is that each word has more translations than you can use with no ordering and little indication of the differences between words Its a bit like being confronted with a thesaurus when all you want is a dictionary The notes that are given are often misleading That said if you are going to use this app without an Internet connection youre going to use it mainly to translate from the language you dont speak to the language you do or between two languages you speak and if you have a companion Swedish dictionary this app will work for you If Internet connectivity isnt an issue and you dont want to go between two apps it might be worth it to shell out the few dollars to try Lexikons app              Good app needs work and a companion
