Edition29_ARCHITECTURE_001 is a visually stunning collectable magazine that focuses on showcasing the new generation of modernist architects and their creations through cinematic photographic storytelling. With over 100 pages of full screen photographs, audio commentaries, video, ...
I love this series and still support it but the most recent update causes the app to crash every time I try to open it I cant get to the issue I purchased in the hub where you can download back issues and future issues No hub Just crash Please fix           The update wrecked this app
I am very impressed by the way Edition 29 Architecture issue 006 has captured the essence of my MHouse The presentation is very beautifully designed as it engages the viewer with sound interview animation and photos in a way that can best be done with this electronic magazine Print magazines while not requiring an iPad are a pale comparison Michael Jantzen                 Very Impressive
This is a beautiful application but I found it frustrating that you cant hear the audio commentary while browsing through the photos of the house being discussed Once the audio begins youre basically locked into a single photo Id give this 5 stars if it was a bit more flexible in the navigation           Great photos but a bit disorganized
Awesome houses Great photos                 Excellent
The iPad is a lovely way to look at photography but this app disappoints Many of the images in this app are overcompressed muddy and some were clearly pixelated Also some of the images look flat on the ipad screen the color management of the publisher is weak This could be coffee table app but it lacks that craftsmanship For an amazing example of how great this app could be look at the photography in the Wired magazine app every image is scaled pixel perfect for the iPad screen the color are as deep as the screen will allow and the the images are always crisp           Dissappoints
Updated the app went to launch it and it immediately crashes Still have the standalone version of issue 2 it works fine     Crashes On Launch
Nice photos but very few of them The user interface puts form before function tries to look fancy but really is not easy to use Not sure why I paid 299 for this Must have gotten spoiled after installing the Houzz app Thousands of photos they say 35000 but who can count its easy to browse and best of all its free     299 got a better app for free
As I start to explore new avenues on my iPad none have been been better looking than Edition29 Its a great early take on the future of print journalism An excellent debut and I cant wait for the next edition Great job                 Fulfilling the promise of the iPad
I have a the new iPad and everything worked smoothly until I opened up my newly downloaded issue 06 then it froze and now the app wont even open Im very much looking forward to a fix and to changing my review     Hmm
This is by far the best mag port Ive seen really nicely done The movement voiceover and video really add dynamics Looking forward to picking up new issues                 Finally an iPad mag takes advantage of the medium
Dont waste your money on this It is nothing more than some amateurish pictures that slow zoom in and out THIS IS NOT WHAT DIGITAL PUBLISHING SHOULD BE Doesnt even support landscape mode There are much better digital magazines out there I suspect that the two other reviews are the developers Save your money I wish I did     What a waste Save your money
I think the content is amazingwhen its not crashing I have deleted and downloaded this app and the issues I have spent money on no less than 30 times This is by far the worst functioning appcontent I have ever experienced I continue to see this company launch new apps and my advice would be thisfix the original one so it works No one should ever download this until its fixedand it has been over a year TERRIBLE     Could Be Great
Hey I have to pay again when I downloaded issue 3 and 2 I want my money back cause I paid twice Thanks to solve the problem You were very nice Dear users if you have issues 1 2 or 3 be careful to install issue 4 dont deinstall issues 1 2 or 3 any question contact edition29 personal they will solve any trouble     Sr
This magazine displays a very poor understanding of architecture A proper architecture magazine should aim to cover the whole gamut of the discipline libraries houses social projects museums airports bridges urban planning etc Instead Edition29 Architecture limits itself to singlefamily homes That would be OK for a magazine called Houses or something along those lines So the current title is at best misleading and shows a rather amateurish and onedimensional understanding of the scope and aim of architecture As to the browsing experience I found it clumsy and counterintuitive Although the interface looks fancy it fails to impress and provide a coherent smooth environment Overall I think Edition29 Architecture is poorly designed and quite unremarkable when it comes to contents        Amateurish content clumsy interface
The layout function and aesthetics of this app blend seamlessly with its wonderful content Highly recommended if you are at all moved by modern architecture                 Simplification of form
Im an architect and I love the content f the magazine However there NEEDS to be an option for Audio OFF It is so annoying that even after you paused the audio on one page as soon as you swipe to the next page the audio keeps repeating I just want to browse through the magazine quietly or listening to my own music and the audio is so disturbing I have to mute my iPad I would love to subscribe to the magazine but only when there is the option to turn audio off              Need Audio OFF
Leave it to a magazine in the design domain to get it right Massive futureshock here                 WOW
This is what the iPad was made for Excellent photography and interviews In content it is equal to any conventional architectural magazine with the added benefit of having the video interviews and commentary                 Impressive
The photos are excellent but the design is lame and pretentious There is in fact not all that much content here and the design attempts to compensate The selected architecture is all very similar the classic modernist box from the 50s done again and again and Glass curtain walls and flat ceilings Seems like the same architect could have done them all Rating is to compensate for the over the top 5 stars though generally it might rate a 3 star You will have seen it all in 15 minutes     Soso
Fantastic example of what a magazine can be when custom developed for iPad format Gorgeous photography nice integration of text video and audio Would have given it 5 stars if it werent for the poor GPS integration The idea of locating each of the houses using Google maps is terrific however in my experience it never works right the embedded Google maps crashes frequently and when it doesnt the GPS locator is incorrect Fix this feature and this is a killer app              Terrific digital zine GPS integration poor
This is a very very good iPad magazine I fully enjoyed it and will buy future editions I have a few suggestions 1 Each project should be required to have plans and sections no exception 2 Make important details accessible by tapping on a symbol in the photographs 3 I would like to see the architect walking through the project explaining hisher intentions 4 Have at least one panorama for each project Other than that great job                 JAL AIA
Great app Interactive and easy to use However I want to be able to turn off the commentary by the architect Sometimes its nice to listen to your music while you are browsing the magazine              Good app but needs a tweak
Ive had no 11 for what seems like an age No indication of the frequency My recurring subscription is about to charge Is this a quarterly A whenwefeellikepublishingwellputsomethingout Biannual What When How many per year           So what a recurring subscription gets you one issue per year
A very nice interface for sure and great photos The audio is a nice addition Please skip the Ken Burns effect of panning the photos It does make you sick and want to flip to the next image very quickly Fortunately its only a few images per project Well Done              Very cool but please no Ken Burns
When I purchased this app I was expecting a simple slideshowgallery of quality photography and I would have been content with that However the app turned out to be so much more The presentation of these photos videos and audio is dynamic and elegant Very immersive I eagerly await future issues of this magazine and have new expectations for what periodicals on the iPad should be                 Elegant
This magazine is amazing Edition29 and Wired are the future of publishing The images are crisp except one and the price is unbeatable I think I have found a magazine that I will actually pay for Pros Generous use of Helvetica and professional photographs make this a worthwhile browse for even nonarchitecture lovers Very interesting stories on the houses also Cons Almost none I wish the audio stayed with you when you clicked through pictures I guess no July issue Worth paying for              Welcome to the future
Loved the first and second issues Liked the IDEA of the format change when I purchased and downloaded the new system and went to purchase the third issue it simply didnt work I loaded it three or four times only to have nothing happen Now it crashes every time I try opening it WTF           Frusterated
I had the same troubles with the fifth issue disappointed that I cant use the application anymore I would be very appreciative if the bug was fixed promptly Bugs aside though this is a lovely magazine           Issue 5
This has to be the best zine on my iPad Its just beautiful Gorgeous layout that works so well with the abilities of the iPad Im notifying all my friends and intend to buy every future issue Five thumbs up and thank you for great design viewed in great design iPad                 The Best
Lovely app publication but with imagery being such an important part it really does need to be optimized for Retina displays              Needs Retina update
For 3 on an app that wont even open and just crashes Im contacting apple     Doesnt load
this is a beautiful magazine and Ive bought all 5 first 2 standalone and next 3 as in app purchases but when I downloaded issue 5 and hit read I get a black screen forever and have to quit the app So Ive lost 3 299 purchase Hope the developers fix this bug before it kills this wonderful magazine     Black screen after number 5 download on iOS 43
Clean and interactive design without the confusing cruft of the print world a very clean and well designed magazine Hopefully future editions will be self contained in one app Id love to have an archive of these                 Now thats a magazine for the iPad
I like the content but the app is unusable There is no way to turn the commentary off You know what it means That if you are listening to some musing there is no way you can read the magazine without the commentary interrupting it It is ridiculous From this point of view the usability is very poor     No way to turn commentary off
Perfect app for iPad Well worth 299 Not just a collection of photos but an environment If you like good design get this app Houzz is not in the same league                 Gorgeous app
A pretty good beginning for the future of the magazine business Images are gorgeous hires and the subtle panning and zooming is done with taste I liked how the text was placed through out just wished that there was more of it It would be great to see some video a tour of the buildings or interviews with the architects would really add to the experience That being said 299 is a reasonable price for an issue this is about half the price of buying an issue of a magazine off the rack Offer a subscription I would sign up if the price is right                 iPad Magazine Done Right
good price good presentation good photograph good graphic                 money well spent
Got this app and could not believe the depth and dimension that this app adds to seeing great new architecture Keep more issue coming                 Architecture Fan
I dont get any less than amazing reviews This issues is a marvel the images compelling the UI is better than WIRED magazines offering and its just plain inspiring Please keep this series coming Offer in app purchases of new issues                 Outstanding please keep them coming
I love this application and would rate it five stars but the persistent problem is bothering You get a new issue you lose the rest of the issues you bought              The app problem should be address immediately
Love the mag but since the new change Im unable to download issue 4 or 5can u fix as this is bar far the best mag I have ever purchased                 Help
Absolutely great experience I have a shameful weakness for beautiful glossy architecture and design magazines Stunned to think the iPad could actually replace my weekly trip to the magazine shop but here it is This app leaves many other magazine apps Zinio et al in the dust Transitions are smooth animations are tasteful and the photography is breathtaking More more more especially at this price which is far lower than what I pay at the news stand Bravo                 Finally what a digital magazine should be
How a magazine should be like and cost like on the iPad                 Done right
This is the future of digital media jump on board and enjoy the ride Bravo Edition 29                 Just Buy It
This is how its done If you cant figure out how to produce an electronic magazine here is your blueprint Well done folks                 All magazine publishers take notice
