My god this is exactly what I was looking for Apples stock music app is utterly bloated This cuts all the crap and lets you focus on YOUR music with a beautifully simple design                 Incredible

App was ok but now wont load and just freezes Wont work at all I want my 99 back     freezes on iPhone 6 with 84 update

I wish I could give this app five stars but despite its claim it doesnt provide me with any lyrics at all and my requests to the seller for a solution to this problem have been completely ignored Nevertheless Ecoute is an elegant app and just the alternative to iTunes I had hoped to find           No Lyrics No Support

Theres a lot of gratuitous animation Some of the functionality isnt obvious and you have to try a few things to see if a feature exists eg you have to swipe on the right side to quickly jump by the alphabet because the bar doesnt show up until after you start swiping Other than those nits its a great app As it says on the website it works with the builtin music core so its more or less a different skin to the builtin Music app without being infuriatingly unusable annoyingly time consuming just to get some music playing and crashy Its definitely a good buy for anybody who feels abandoned by the builtin Music app in iOS 84 especially at 99              Great

Like many other people around the world agree on apples new music app is atrocious not user friendly confusing and basically a hot mess All I want to do is shuffle my music I have thousands of songs and Apple has made that process a nightmare Its cluttered unnecessary and honestly trying to shove its streaming feature down our throats How do you play your music if youre not connected to wifi Simple You Cant Its exactly the same when Apple tried to get rid of camera roll This is where this lovely app comes into play I launch it and I hit shuffle and I can choose how I shuffle my music Its basic and simple and exactly what I want I know a lot of people complain about a lack of iTunescloud compatibility but for me its a minor setback But I will say this app is worth the 99 and more                 Apple caters to its own needs

Very good solution for those of us who find the new Apple music app to be a mess My only complaint is that the app does not stop playing when you close it in the task manager Fix that and it would be perfect                 Nice Simple

Like others I wanted an app that sorted my music simply had functional controls and worked with iTunes Match in short everything the iOS music app stopped doing Ecoute fits the bill Easy filters easy controls and pretty to look at to boot Easily worth the 99 cents                 Great replacement for iOS music app

I love this player Love the way it looks love the way it works its just an allaround great player I use it almost without fail over the built in player However over the last few weeks I have noticed that somehow Im getting duplicate playlists synced to my iTunes and I think this app is the reason I cant say definitively but I dont see how else its happening Please look into this guys Please fix this otherwise PERFECT music player                 Beautiful

I always used the standard music app up until this last update when they jammed Apple Music in my piehole I had stopped listening to music on my phoneIn my car because the new app is so bad this fixes EVERYTHING Simple nice to look at functional Perfect                 MUCH BETTER

Definitely better than the original iOS Music app but definitely needs an auto set volume down when headphones are plugged in              Better but

For those of us who prefer to store our tunes on our phones apps like this make our musical lives a pleasure Love the scrobbling to LastFM Now that Groove has been seemingly abandoned this is now my go to player If one day the developers ever add those Groove playlist making features to this app its 5 stars              Superb music app

I searched for an app that would shuffle all my music after the iOS update wrecked Apples music app and Ecoute does that beautifully Thank you thank you thank you                 I love this app

Much better than apple music You will find it its UI much cleaner and easier to use Not perfect but still better Actually works unlike apple music Even the playlist artwork appears              Good sub for Apple Music

Works SO well Seriously Real simple Doesnt have tons of unnecessary features You can access the app settings by going to the iPhone Settings app and scrolling down to Ecoute EDIT After some use theres one area in slight need of improvement The transition to player view on selection of a particular track is delayed sometimes taking about 4 seconds from the time I select a track of an album to the time that the player view comes up and there is pause play rewind etc all in a full screen view Contacted support about that issue and they said that they just use the default music player code and that it has been a known issue since the early releases of iOS and still hasnt been fixed Apparently its in Apples hands to fix it but thats unlikely to happen anytime soon Anyway the developer responded really quickly and politely so that was nice This app is still MUCH MUCH better than the iOS 9 default Music app even with this intermittent annoyance                 Great iOS 9 Music App Alternative

I switched over to this app after Apple put out what I consider the worst it has ever produced music This app is much more like what iTunes used to be and in many ways is simple and clear and very usable There is a problem for me however when trying to play a song in a playlist that isnt coming up next This app always wants to play the next song even if I select a different one from the cue This is a good not great solution to my iTunesapple woes           Better than music but still got problems

With this last apple music update the built in player is just terrible This is a nice simple player Looks nice no frills                 Bingo

this is hands down the best music player available on an iOS device i have purchased ALL paid music apps and tried ALL the free apps this is clean simple intuitive it also takes advantage of the iPhone music equalizer which a lot of music apps dont who is this app for and who is it not for if you have a ton of music you own and actually have it downloaded onto your device this app is for you if you put your phone in airplane mode a lot this app is for you if you want clean clear to the point access to your music without layer upon layer upon useless needless layer of bloated garbage iTunes then this app is for you before i found this app i switched to the Amazon player which was WAY better than iTunes but because i turn my phone off 75 of the time i had to acknowledge the stupid not online dialog box EVERY time i opened the Amazon player it drove me crazy i want more direct access to my content whether it be music photos data video Apple insists that i dont want this and that i prefer to linger in the endless layers of content exposure to get me to buy more and more from them Apple got it right with new movies they created the trailer app when Im in the mood to see whats new I GO TO THAT APP AND I LOVE IT why they cant emulate this model elsewhere is so beyond me you will NOT like this app if you have switched to the streaming music bandwagon i personally have no desire for streaming music lag times between songs reduced quality connection required too many steps between my music and me there are a million apps that are great for that if thats what your into spotify note to the developers if you give in to the current trend of streaming music PLEASE put it in a SEPARATE app dont corrupt the purity of the wonderful piece of software i would have paid WAY more for this and considering how much Ive spent to finally find it i paid a TON for it few more notes its simplicity is deceiving this app actually has a little more functionality than is immediately apparent im a highly visual person so the fact that they maintain artworks to find content is A for me any time you see artwork a long press opens features i didnt realize this until i went to their official website pixiappscom the only thing i havent figured out is if you can create a new playlist i dont see how to do this its the one thing i may have to go into iTunes for i hate the thought of ever having to push that iTunes app button ever again but considering how perfect this app is i wont complain about this one small thing besides it may be able to do it and i just havent seen it yet if its something that is not there and they decide to add it later developers please dont ruin the already fantastic flow and simplicity cant praise this app enough excellent example for ALL app developers to follow and is my favorite app on my iPhone                 BEST OF THE BEST

However for it to be useful now it has to be more than just a music player and organizer It has to integrate with Apple Music itself It needs to allow you to download songs from the app and also search for them Its a waste to have to use the default music app to search and download songs then use this to play them Its not like this app improves sound quality However if you dont use Apple Music this is still a useful music app but until Apple Music integration is added its useless to Apple Music users     Used to Be Great

When I first got this app to replace the broken 84 music app I was thrilled This app is simply beautiful and so easy to use Dont get me wrong I love it My only concern is that this app is not integrated with ITunes Music still plays when app is closed and the player freezes and crashes when you go to the song on stock music app When these issues are fixed then this app would be a treasure to use              The Good and The Bad

If I have individual track repeat enabled it should repeat the song when it reaches the end but it should also not preclude me from moving onto the next track when I hit or the previous one if I double tap I would love to hear the logic behind this brilliant UI design choice because its entirely nonsensical and inefficient Question app creators what is the point of having and when repeat one is enabled They are UI icons that are relegated 100 useless I was hoping this very basic common sense feature that even a multi billion dollar company such as Apple cannot get right they in fact removed it which Ill never understand would be recognized for the stupidity that it is and be fixed by third parties but apparently this is too much to hope for also Unbelievable     Get the repeat functionality right

I was not pleased with the changes Apple made to the music player app because I am not going to use apples subscription service and all of my favorite features were stripped from the music player in favor of a more Apple music friendly environment I just want to play my own library I want to shuffle easily and shuffle by ARTIST was essential to me This app is fabulous Intuitive and has the features I want It is also one stop shopping for my audiobooks and podcasts and the music lyric function was an awesome surprise This is a fantastic app and Ill use it all the time                 Thrilled to find a replacement for iOS

This app uses the apple music player to play a list that the user builds with this app It is pretty but useless as a player Barely integrated with the rest of the Apple world Ill keep looking        Music filter Not a player

As most have said Apples updated to the music app is a disaster I found this as an alternative and all u can say is LOVE IT It uses the same sorting that Apple in their infinite wisdom chose to remove such as sorting by group within genre as opposed to album An added bonus all my album art was restored The apple music app has now been filed under extras                 What the Apple music app should be

I hate the new Apple Music app so I looked for a replacement There were so many great reviews on Ecoute so I purchased it It really is a great music player its back to the basics where Apple deviated from BUT I love to sing and use the lyrics feature a lot The lyrics feature of Ecoute is buggy sometimes it says no lyrics and sometimes it displays them I have lyrics to all my songs so it appears to be a refresh problem in the app I would give this app 5 stars if they fixed this           Lyrics feature of the app is buggy

How did I not know this existed Apple Music player interface is horrid Use Make Songs Available Offline option in Apple Music and then use Ecoutes fantastic interface to play it all Bam Love it                 Love it

I have a large 40gb collection of my own music on my phone Navigating through it has always been a bit of a challenge much easier on an older iPod than an iPhone But the new Apple Music made it next to impossible between the lack of ease of use and the clutter Ecoute more than makes up for it between its simplicity and flexibility And it also features something they dont even talk about and which many players dont have gapless playback This music player is just what I need                 A musthave

This app is a great replacement for the iOS 9 music app the only thing that I hope you guys can update is for when you click on the artist and view all songs if it can have an option to organize the songs by the album like how it did on iOS 84 other than that great app              Great app

I just started using this app as a replacement for the stock app and I love it so far My only complaint is that after selecting a song there is some delay in updating the miniplayer which freezes the app Please fix it              Great app a little buggy

I found this app because I hated iOS 84 with the new streaming services they are shoving down our throats Id give this app a 5 star but I still would like to see the filters option along the baseline of the screen all expanded like the old iTunes app worked It makes choosing music even faster without having to choose filter way up on the top left when my thumb is way down on the bottom right All in all great middle finger to apple for making such a frustrating update when all we want to do is listen to our music and not stream all the time              Great iOS 84 replacement

Much cleaner interface than iTunes so hats off Itd be even better if you gave us the option to make onthego mixes maybe by just liking a song as its playing and having that feed into a liked list or something Im looking for something similar to the Mophie music app           Nice iTunes Alternative

Just here to add my voice to the praise for this app as a replacement for the horrible update to Apples Music app Im not interested in the Apple Music service and the new Music app update makes it impossible to listen to my music the way I like This app lets me listen to music with having to sort through other unwanted services                 Happy to have this after updating iOS

Since the iOS 84 update the music app became a pain to use I want easy access to my music and none of the other crapola shoved into the native iOS app This app gives me my music It is easy to use and Im pleased Thanks for a great app                 Finally something I can use

Please add an option for square cover art in player view Im fine with the rounded edges for the interface but would love to be able to view the album art as the artist intended Otherwise an amazing music app in general and the perfect Apple Music app replacement              Just needs one more thing

I listen to music by selecting a genre Im in the mood for From that new window I pick an artist that tickles my fancy Another new window and I pick an album from that artist Easy simple beautiful The latest iOS update from Apple however was an absolute nightmare to work with Selecting a genre would return an endless stream of dozens upon dozens of albums with no organization What used to take a split second now took a lot longer It was endlessly frustrating Enter Ecoute this app is a lifesaver No stupid bells or whistles just an honest and robust music player that has wonderful sorting features I tried so many other apps in the app store and this was by far the winner Completely worth the 99 to restore my sanity                 Great replacement for iOS music app

Like many others I couldnt stand the newest iteration of the iPhone music player and immediately set about finding an alternative This one is incredibly easy to useyou can readily switch between individual song and album and turn on shuffle without difficulty While Apples misguided effort to shove Apple Music down everyones throat by ruining the iPhone music player remains a great disappointment this helps soften the blow                 Great fix to the Apple Music debacle

I have an iPod Touch that I use for music The latest update has replaced iTunes with a Music app the new streaming music playback that is ALMOST ABSOLUTELY USELESS WHEN YOURE USING AN IPOD TOUCHIPAD WITH NO INTERNET CONNECTION OR WIFI You cant even get songs to play randomly Where Apple drops the ball this app picks it up Its simply a music player that plays music stored on your device NO streaming NO login requests and NO internet connection required and it does so beautifully Music is organized the old school iPod way artistalbumsongs and theres a random button that actually works For 99c you can get your music player back And this is it                 Because the new Apple Music app on 84 is a mess

I just want a simple early iPodiTunes jukebox app This app has no means to skim thru alphabet letters no access to star ratings the now playing button is small and awkward and shuffle is slow to start        Less messy than Apple Music but still classy

Was just a wonderful app Now is an essential app Well worth 100 x the price But dont change please Im an idiot and complained about only being able to access iTunes Match songs via playlists Well I finally freaking looked at the settings and turned show all music back on and tada Ecoute is the best dang player again and Im left to give myself 1 star for my efforts Thanks Ecoute You freaking rule                 Love it Essential to phone oriented happiness

I updated to Apple music and Im hating life now I own the music I want and the new music app is horrible for browsing my local content I can confirm this app is clean works well and can see and play my iCloud music library It just cant download it locally I have to go to the apple app for that Thanks              App is clean works ok with apple music

I had grown frustrated by all of the bloatware apple was putting into the standard music app The GUI has become a complete unusable mess as of 84 and its been the last straw for me This app came highly recommended in online reviews and I can easily see why It just plays music and thats all it does It does it with a clean interface and it even features a night mode What a sigh of relief I would like to report a minor bug though with the current version Theres a small delay when switching between tracks where the name and album art of the new track is a bit slow to update on the screen It can also cause the player to pause temporarily                 None of the bloatware all of the awesome

As a raw music player the interface is definitely better than the new Music app in iOS 84 However it doesnt seem to be a stand alone music player and seems to be leveraging the iOS Music app which is disappointing When I completely end this application music continues to play and the only way to stop the music without simply pausing it is to open the iOS Music app and then end it If I open an app to perform a task I shouldnt have to open another to end it Integration with iTunes would be nice           Better than Music on 84 but not perfect
