EccoNote Pro Recorder

Works good for recording but the sending to email broke after an update        Ok recorder not so good sending

Play back is way too quiet I have to hold the phone to my ear Also why cant we send data through email like we do with pictures Also Why do I have to select the recording quality every time I record Cant you put a settings feature where you select your preferences such as record quality Also if you forget to press save you lose a recording Cant you have a setting to automaticly save all recordings Also a auto save if battery runs out What about a voice activation feature Or a feature that records phone calls automaticly Also why is playback with headphones only in one ear phone           Needs work

Ive had Ecconote Pro from the beginning A useful and much appreciated application superior to Apples voice recorder I have discovered in applying the most recent version that I am unable to successfully email larger notes when mailed to and recd by another iPhone user For some reason when the attached note is tapped to play on the iPhone the following dialog pops up This movie format is not supported Ecconote records notes as noted on their support page in the AIF sound file format So it is confusing as to why such a dialog would appear and the file would be unplayable I am employing an iPhone 4 running iOS 421 and have sent the trial recorded notes to another iPhone 4 running the same version of the iOS I wish I could report that the developers were very responsive to the email inquiry Ive made as their support page encourages users to contact them should there be any issues that arise HOWEVER AS OF YET I HAVE HEARD NOTHING IN RESPONSE TO MY INQUIRY If in fact notes of any length limited only by the particular phones remaining capacity can be emailedI would recommend this app without reservation If this is indeed a restriction than one need be advised of that limitation before deciding to purchase the app I would also request of the developers that the user be allowed to choose how to order their created categories Presently one is limited to the order being established by virtue of when that particular category was created which isnt particularly helpful I am hopeful the developers will note my concerns either by virtue of the email sent to their support address or by the reading of this iTunes app review I look forward to reporting on their response     With attention could be 5Star

Sound quality is decent but it records to huge files so forget about emailing anything but a grocery list Were talking 6 megabytes a minute in medium quality This will not be replacing my standalone recorder anytime soon until it can record to mp3 or Ogg or something For a simple recorder the user interface is surprisingly awkward and the App anticipates that you wont be intending to save most of what you record because SAVE is an option not the default behavior Maybe thats because they made the process of deleting things obtuse Oh and the playback screen has some weirdlooking red record button you actually use to start playback        Needs some work

This will delete all your recording and is unable to email your recordings DONT DOWNLOAD     Do Not Download

Great app Works well with quality features Id like to see a record quick record button on the homepage and for me the output through headphones is mono is this right                 Love this app

The free version I thought was already great but the pro version with email send ability and the new recording notification on the apps springboard icon are great additions 099 for this app is such a steal do yourself a favor and buy this incredibly useful application                 The best audio capture app

Update Thanks for all the fixes Great quality Great sound Please add another way to fastforward and rewind I would be happy with a 10 second FFW and RWD button It is very frustrating to scroll where you want to start playing let go of the scroll bar and it moved over a minute off from where you wanted I will change my stars when there is an update Thank you                 Pretty much a perfect app

I have several recordings I want to email myself but the app freezes anytime I try to send an email     Please fix this

This is perfect now that if you get a call or text your recording is saved The option to adjust the recording quality is very good I can set it to low to save space on recording long teleconferences yet for voice it provides good results This app does everything well very solid              Solid App

I used EccoNote Pro on my iphone and ipad from the begin The Iphone EccoNote Pro is ok but Ipad EccoNote Pro crashes     App crashes

this app records very nicely the only real issue is that the ftp feature does not work properly starting with the set up the second time one pulls up the connection details the screen is all screwed up only forcing a app quit save one from there All uploading I have tried fail before they even start        nice recorder but

Ive tried a couple of other voice recorders and this is the best especially for the price I agree with the point that it would be easier to transfer to PC if the files were smaller however the FTP features weigh that out for me              Still love it

I cant get rid of the feeling that every time I look at icon I see solar eclipse Dont you Poor choice Have admit my first assumption that FTP foes not work was wrong It actually works pretty well I made a mistake wring ip address was used For the rest of the note here I stand by it There is no way to delete current FTP configuration and add different one Once You configured you can only change the existing one but not to delete It would have been nice to have an option to configure multiple FTP servers so you could switch from one to another Would be nice to have an option to disable auto start of the recording once you click record or record button should be on the page where you have been switched when you clicked record Plus buttons for playback are horrible Can you guys create something more attractive and bigger           Creepy icon

The free version took to you a window where you could stop and record when you were ready The 099 version goes traight to recording as soon as you hit record new no pause a big surprise 1 The Pro version is basically the same as the free version except that the menus blink in RED when you hit record new that is all I give it one star becuase the free version is better I dont lik ethe distracting blinking I know when I am recording 2 I DONT SEE ANY OF THE IMPROVEMENTS said in the description like the ability to send via email I cannot find that feature is non existent I think let go of one dollar too easily and I would ask for my money back if it were possible As a matter of fact I like the free version better than the Pro and that is the one I am using I was really looking forward to sending recordings via email since I read the description but it does not provide for that Sorry to say this Good app but not as advertised Most bad reviews must be of older version since I find it works as it should Good quality if sound fast and easy to use Not used FTP so I cannot report on that Save button should be there logically What I dont understand is the categories cannot make use of them Help              No difference bewtween Pro and Free Version

This audio program rocks Very easy to use and easy functionality What would make this audio program top gun would be the ability to save your file as mp3 Hopefully in the next update which I hope will be very soon Great program and so worth the 99 cents              Law professional

I love this application I tried several voice recording apps for the iPhone and by far think this one is the best Even the free version is extremely powerful I also really like the new version where you can scrub forward and back while playing That being said I have a quick suggestion It would be nice to be able to copy files to my Mac via USB instead of just email or FTP I dont have access to FTP and some of my recordings are 50 mb too big for email Anyway if there is any way you could add this feature that would be nice Thank you           Love the app Have a suggestion

Bought this app weeks ago and liked using it Love the uprades they address the only complaints I had with the app                 Even better than before

Just loaded the update and has been crashing ever since Wont even open to recover my past recordings I need to access these for work I dont want to lose them Please fix this immediately     Crashing badly

I loved this previous version I used for all my meetings and sending FTP is really easy But after this upgrade Playback is disapper What happened All though you did not have the Playback feature before I was able to go back by sliding the dot I ended up to purchase another app Please add playback feature Then I will give you 6 Stars           Playback please

I really dont understand all the unfavorable reviews about this app I have found it to work flawlessly It was just what I was looking for I was looking for an app that showed a new note badge on the icon and a very quick start up This app does that perfectly I would highly recommend it My only complaint is the unattractive icon                 Nearly perfect voice memo app

This application is very buggy For example if I record a note play it back but hit pause midplayback and then hit the record button to record a new note nothing happens I have to exit the app and reenter it to record a new note The UI is very slowunresponsive I recorded a few tests notes but pressing on them results in no playback I can press the playpause button and it toggles but nothing plays back The record button sometimes works when I first enter the app but if I do anything else the record button becomes nonfunctional Id advise not purchasing this application     Very buggy

Used to love this ap Does NOT work in the background if you lock your phone Suspends recording This should have been fixed or at least noted as a limitation of the ap     Not recommended for iPhone4

it records fine but when it plays the sound only comes out from the left speaker or the left earphone if you are using it VoiceNotes does not have this issue           playback only comes out from one speaker

UPDATE Please update Constantly crashes with loss of notes Current version unusable on iphone 4 with latest iOS INITIAL REVIEW Some nice features like ability to append messages But buggy when emailing large files on iphone4 File sends okay but cannot be played Generally works fine under 10MB Also files are sometimes lost during upgrades which is a pretty serious flaw Be sure to email recordings before upgrades or you may lose them Would be nice to add feature to edit     Lost an Entire Days Notes

Ecconote works fairly well It has been a great tool for me during meetings and just brainstorming But please change your icon because it does not speak to the high lvl of quality that your product warrent              New icon

This app has been awesome I use it everyday to record a conversation with my son so i can document the things he says and what he does The sound quality recorded is top notch never crashes or acts weird and having the ability to FTP or email is awesome This allows me automatically archive them so they are safe and it is also nice to use email search features to locate specific files as well as have them in my FTP so they can be shared and accessed from anywhere Well worth the money one of the best paid apps I own                 Perfect in so many ways

Can someone explain how to create an FTP file I think I am not doing it correct this took so much of my time some explanation on the application would be nice        FTP

I try many times to email my record but it didnt work I called costumer services but they couldnt resolve my issue I want my money back     It doesnt work

The record quality is very good The sound file is way to big The abilty to email the recorded file is well designed but I could not gett the sound file to play on my work computer           Files too large and still cant figure out how to hear the sound file I emailed myself

The start up function is involuntary This means you have no time to think about what you are going to say before the darn thing starts recording If your driving in a car and want to turn the recorder off or pause it you have to hunt for little buttons while driving along I would prefer having a big fat red button tap once to record Tap twice to stop Tap 3 times or shake to erase This Ap is complex and user unfriendly I had the lite version prior to this Paid nothing and it didnt have all the disadvantages Also if you want 5 stars find us away to record our conversations while were on the phone Id pay 500 for that Ap                 Big dissapointment

Im so impressed that you made the changes that I suggested last time I reviewed Well under time and pressure I came across more issues that tripped me up After your done recording When u push stop this should be an automatic save Otherwise it needs to ASK u if u want to save I didnt know I had to save So I lost my recordings Also it should break up one recording into emailable sizes Or u are stuck with a 50mg file with no way to get off your phone Except FTP And the quality setting should have a seperate page Too often I start a recording quickly only to have it on too high a setting        Ideas to improve updated 1209

Okaybeing an appearance snob herethe title needs to be shorter so it doesnt appear as EccoNoPro on the screen Great software but the way the title looks bugs me           Shorter Title Please

I had this on my phone and just developed a need for a voice recorder I was very disappointed in this ap I had to power down my phone to get it to work each time I wanted to go back and listen to a memo Needless to say it was a waste of money and has been deleted     does not work

I am rewriting my review now that the new update is available This is a much improved product FTP works great at home new quick record auto save and sound in both headphones are great Thanks a lot one star is now four stars              Much better

If youre fortunate enough and have not done so DO NOT INSTALL THE UPDATE otherwise you WILL suffer the loss of all of your recordings These Ashley people do not know what theyre doing Once the update begins it freezes the phone and the only way to unfreeze it is to deselect EccoNote Pro from you list of applications These are miserable worthless and totally sorry code writers Absolutely dont know what theyre doing AVOID THIS APP Technically it should be removed from the app store and the development kit immediately returned to Apple     You will lose all your recordings
