You can get some really interesting beats that you can play with this app Import your own samples Allows MIDI control and learn Just a bit of polish on IAA so it does host sync                 Great Goove App polarpaul
Thanks for this amazing device peace Christo                     Excellency Aka monkey dope
This app is capable of being groove box as well as a sound design tool Its unique even among the touch instruments The transition might be hard for some people But if your patient creative and concentrate on keeping a open mind it will reward you Setting up the Sonic Gradient s is not easy but after that s done you begin to see its wonderful capabilities                     It grew on me Long words
This might not be the App s fault per se but it turned out to be completely useless for me Not even playing around with it is any fun     Not for me Redrioja
A truly unique app in a landscape of synths and grooveboxes Highly recommended                     Out of this world music app Sean Garland
This app is a virtual instrument that is specifically designed around the touch interface of the iPad as opposed to trying to map an existing instrument onto an iPad The presets are fun starting points but the real strength of the app is all the user control it allows You can add your own samples adjust a lot of parameters and interface with other tools audiobus 2 midi clock midi input etc                     Cool creative digital instrument Dafrosyk
There s definitely nothing quite like Earhoof out there which is why I m rating it 5 stars My favorite thing about it is that I can quickly come up with an interesting rhythmic loop and then latch it then I can compose other music over top of it with other apps or with my guitar It s set up totally differently than a traditional drum machine which leads to me coming up with things I wouldn t have otherwise It s always been stable for me too so I wouldn t worry about performing live with it It s definitely an app worth having if you re a beat junkie or iOS instrument hoarder like me                     unique creative app NickD77
Earhoof is an app that I decided to pick up on sale and despite the fact that I haven t exactly determined how I will use it I m impressed In essence it s a rhythmic sampler that plays wav files There is a decent library of unique and atmospheric sounds but you can easily import your own audio files and use the app the edit them heavily with filters delay etc The toaster like interface allows you to set a range of modification for variables such as gain delay filter cutoff etc And the whole thing is BPM synched to the tempo you set and the pattern you deliniate One of my favorite features was how well the app was integrated with AudioShare You can import your wav files into AudioShare and there is a giant Import into Earhoof button on the player screen within AudioShare The possibilities for this app are really endless because you can use whatever type of drum bass or lead sound you like Neat app                     It s a sampler It s a drum machine HouseOfHomuth
Instead of getting loads and loads of more emulations of hardware and ports here we have an original creative masterpiece Earhoof is a truly expressive app that turns your ipad into a rhythmic synthesized instrument A few things like being multitimbral and the ability to load samples on the separate strips would be a great addition to the app I have no doubt that the developer will update and implement things like this It would also make an incredible midi controller of sorts The one star review is obviously from someone who misunderstands this app and needs better speakers or headphones Do yourself a favor and support this app I have no doubts it will turn into an incredible instrument even more so than it already is                     Originality at its best rocket tooth
Don t waste your money this app looks cool but is extremely limited and sounds horrible It really is only a toy definitely not up to par with the big boys Horrible interface I deleted this after a few days Lame     Lame indigo1965
This what I consider to be incredible new and innovative instrument well it is like nothing I have ever seen before I plan to write a more thorough and in depth review later But these are my initial thoughts on Earhoof By the way what a superb name for such a bizarre but incredible instrument I could see someone in a movie like The Fifth Element Blade Runner or any number of other science fiction movies playing this crazy thing in a bar or concert scene I actually wish that there was a real physical instrument of this with iPad like touch screen pads where they are set in this app version I just think it looks amazing and so unique Haha when I first saw it I thought it looked akin to a Black and Decker kitchen appliance well one made by aliens of course But what matters to me more beyond the aesthetics Is that it functions well and sounds unique and awesome In my opinion it achieves both of these things with flying colors As of now I cannot claim to understand how everything works though If you have used synths before I believe it will be easy to work your way around the app and figure everything out But even to a newcomer I think that you would enjoy it despite your lack of experience with music apps I find it somehow to feel normal how you slide two fingers or one finger up and down the instrument bars It gives you initial instructions on how to set a beat plus it contains an in app tutorial which I have not read yet but I am very thankful and grateful for At the end of the day I just do not see this app being terribly difficult to comprehend after some repeated use I experienced no lag or glitches either which is wonderful I have it set up in Audiobus right now as an input and Audioshare as my output But I felt so compelled to write this review that I cannot attest just yet how well it works with Audiobus but I am sure it will do fine I should express how much I really love the included sound presets They are as unique and as bizarre as the instrument I think which is just right up my alley when it comes to musical taste Like another reviewer stated I seriously doubt the novelty of this app will wear off anytime soon if ever I had wished that there was a demo or trial of the app before I bought it to test it out As I have continually looked at this appplication and contemplated purchasing it well ever since it was first released And I am glad to say that I believe the five dollar price tag is an extremely fair and reasonable price for this stellar out there musical instrument I hope the developer will seriously one day make this a real physical instrument haha and hopefully just charge like three or four hundred bucks for it because I am a broke artist My sincere thanks and gratitude to the developer of this application and a huge congratulations on creating something wholly unique new and wonderful on the iOS music scene Thanks again and God bless iPad 4 iOS 7 1 1                     Other Worldly Just Brilliant Joshua D.
By far one of the most unique and inspiring audio apps around It s conceptually in a world of its own I have been consistently blown away by the depth and complexity in no way overwhelming complexity Nearly every element feature can be tweaked the potential is astounding After several weeks of use I m happy to report that the novelty hasn t worn off I ve been consistently using this in my productions and this will be the case for the foreseeable future                     I Am Floored Selectedacre
Not quite with it yet can t find a practical use for it but it s fun to mangle I think it would rock if each lane has its own samples instead of sharing the same sound I ll keep experimenting and trying some new approaches different home brew samples and so on A simple eq on each channel would help I do like it and will use it for jabs and effects and some hands off rhythm gestures                 Fun but Jaxziel
I am enjoying this app a lot Very good idea and lots of potential here I ve just started with it so not sure if this is possible but sample import audio copy audio bus would really make this a useful app Keep up the good work Awesome stuff                     Nice app Theo void
Using ipad 4 it now crashes a lot when trying to change sound file and when importing from audio paste             Liked it but now crashes a lot after update Glass wedge
This update makes it easy to add my own clips from other apps including from AudioShare I m still learning how to combine various clips together in different ways but I m already getting a lot of great stuff through Earhoof                     Good improvement Moment65
Fun to play with has potential             Interesting kenzoidian
i can t remember having so much fun with a music app this is incredibly fun and produces unique and performance ready sounds textures integrates easily with autobus impressive parameter functionality some pretty decent factory sounds some improvements i believe it needs midi slave support something most iPad apps lack and seems soon to be resolved and i would love to have an undo button as i m tweaking apologies if there is one and i m missing it but still gets 5 stars as the developer seems very visible engaged on forums to get feedback and work on improvements even without midi clock i ve had great success using as a simple audio plugin in live to layer some texture and abstractions over beats well worth the                     a blast codyfunk
This App is fun easy to use Looking forward to exploring all possibilities                     Fun from Day 1 Mandoharp
I buy a lot of music making apps It not often that one comes along that is truly different This is one of those apps It s experimental but in a highly controllable way It s the app of my dreams that I didn t even know I was dreaming about I had a small problem and I wrote to customer service about it expecting the usual 3 day waiting period Within hours Brendan the dev wrote to me and very quickly managed to diagnose the problem and offer a working solution I salute you Brendan                     Awesome Dpg499
