I am a self taught musician and I just started ear training I have downloaded several apps for this purpose and EarBeater is by far the best I have found for the iPhone It is well worth the money                     Great App Delta Swing

I really like this app so far I haven t had too much time to use it but it s definitely worth paying for this The exercises are very effective drills and are very practical to use I like that the intervals chords they give you to compare don t start on the same note makes it more about the actual training than just comparing notes                     Very helpful fourthcandle

I was hoping there would be scale identifying exercises where it presents me with a scale and I would have select which note the scale is in All it does is make you identify what type of scale it is in like major or minor etc but I need specific notes Same with chords if I m given a chord I want to state which exact chord it is Being general doesn t really help me that much     Very General Lent roller

This is the best app I ve found for ear training imo Very simple and straightforward interface without having to go through alot of menus or anything I almost exclusively use it for intervals and it does everything I need it to do                     Ears are Better tropicalsea

This app is really helping me I love the control I have in choosing lessons Nice well thought out progression of lessons The progression is slow and thorough but you can jump around when you want to different exercises or kinds of exercises Clear tones and useful exercises Good correction so you can hear what you missed several times if you want before moving on A                     Awesome App MusicArtBike

This app is a super helpful tool for ear training A lot of these apps don t have enough extended chords but this one is very comprehensive Plus it s great that you can create your own exercises I m giving 4 stars because I have two complaints 1 sometimes when intervals or chords are played harmonically in a low register the sound quality is not good enough to be able to hear some of the tones and 2 there are no chord progression exercises Please add chord progressions                 Almost perfect MollyBee203

I just purchased this app I think it s very helpful I like the way it is designed because it s pleasant to see and use It seems to have a lot of variation and I am looking forward to continuing to use it and hopefully to improve my recognition of intervals and more As I use this app I will be going back to this review to see if I have anything to add including something that is on my mind But before I release what is on my mind I want to use the app more because I don t want to open my mouth with suggestions before I really get to know the app in full So far I think this is a good buy In fact I can t wait to get back to using it right now Thank you                 I LIKE THIS sorry4ever

This is a fantastic app unfortunately it was rendered useless to me because of a bug but as soon as I reported it they got to fixing it and the update was released today I just checked it and we re back on track with an absolutely fantastic app By having the ability to create your own exercises with as few or as many intervals chords scales etc as you want you can really focus on your weak spots and get your ear up to scratch Fantastic stuff                     Update fixes crash now it s awesome PhlashPhlash

I have just begun to experiment with this app but so far I am loving it It is easy to figure out and use The sound quality on my iPad is good I love that I can design a test that includes exactly the intervals scales I am working on It would be 5 star if there was an in app help page and the ability to have ascending and descending intervals scales in the same exercise That may be a function that is there in the user defined tests that I haven t figured out yet There is also a bug that causes the screen to freeze when defining a test Seems to reset itself if you close and reopen the app a couple times But hey it s new and I am sure they are working on bug fixes already I will update as new versions come out UPDATE I have been in contact with the developers and they are terrific The crash bug is due to problems with iOS 7 on the iPad They are working on a fix I LOVE this app                     Great tool for music students Jannetka
