4 stars only because compared to its future replacement the Nest app this one seems great Use it as long as you can till youre forced into the Nest app              Dropcam vs nest

Seriously 9 out of 10 times I open the app it is a blank white screen with no easy way to reset I have to restart my iPhone to view any live feed Very frustrating any time you want to check in on security of your apartment     No good

One of the most important feature of the camera is the ability to store past videos to the cloud You can then view these videos by tapping on the Activity Feed button in the app However since Nest bought Dropcam these feature is having many issues with the current one crashing the app when you tap the button above So now the camera is useless for me since I can no longer see past videos due to the app crashing     Update crashed app when viewing past videos making the camera unusable

Its just so confusing to maneuver through the site ever since joining Nest and Dropcam     Horrible designed App

Have had drop cam for about a year and a half now It was once nice but now for what ever reason just doesnt want to work Everything shows its connected just will not populate a video for me to use     Just terrible

Unable to view recorded history app crashes when attempting to view camera This started several days ago Until then app worked fine and I was able to view past recordings Nest suggests a problem with my iPad I dont think so     Constant crashing

Ive used three Dropcams in my businesses for over a year and have been very pleased with them Its been a nightmare though since Nest took over My recording which I paid for stopped working and I was asked to enter new credit card info to renew the recording subscription I was skeptical since I was pretty sure I was current on billing but I went ahead and did it anyway Nest processed my payment but the video recording still isnt working My cameras are absolutely worthless without the ability to review footage When I called customer service they said they were having a problem in their billing department and were working on it Its been a weekstill no video recording My cameras are garbage nowthanks Nest for making Dropcam an obsolete technology     Video recording doesnt work

Since Nest purchased dropcam this app has become a terrible product It forgot Login and Password Do you anybody at Nest know about the Touch ID Also the app is not able to change the camera controls anymore     Really poor

Location based activation of cameras has been nonfunctional since the Fall of 2014 this update changed nothing Other issues persist still need to log back in every couple of dayswhich makes a quick check of my cameras an iffy procedure etc It seems the only purpose of this update was either to further merge functionalities with Nest or just to get rid of old bad reviews or both Meanwhile longstanding issues remain unfixed     Same app some issues nothing fixed

UPDATE still very unreliable Second outage in recent days Dont buy or subscribe to the service Constantly logs me off and requires me to sign back in very frustrating when you want to quickly check your cameras Sometimes it refuses to log in and says service unavailable security cameras should be dependable Why did I buy a year subscription I had better reliability with my cheap Foscam     Unreliable Terrible since NestGoogle took over

On my iPhone and iPad this app is always losing connectivity or showing stale images and telling me my password isnt correct when its been saved and works the next time I launch the app     Great Camera Bad App

This app gives me nothing but problems Ive had to uninstall and reinstall several times to get it working it turns off camera repeatedly cant access camera 80 of the time for no known reason Now the latest problem is I cannot go back to recorded video it kicks me out of app     Nothing but Problems

Ever since Dropcam and Nest merged its awful The app keeps asking me to log in and my password and username are right I knew the merger would ruin everything 1 star     Awful

This thing keeps dropping the connection I want to see my babies not wait forever or in vain for it to load if Im able to open it at all without relogging on     Well named

App crashes when attempting to pull up one of my two cameras This Dropcam app has a far better user interface than the new Nest App especially review of history Something is drastically wrong at Nest when they take perfectly performing software enjoyed and praised by customers then screw it up by changing it completely        App crashes

I can no longer view past videos on the Dropcam App The App crashes when you go beyond live video 4 cameras and 4 cloud subscriptions but no way to view the saved video     Nest is killing dropcam

At first dropcam was great and I used it everyday Now after this Nest company took over the entire system is a joke Its unreliable to say the least This app keeps crashing and constantly asks me to re login why not have a pin or finger print to log in It is now not letting me log in to my 3 dropcams saying my id is incorrect When I attempt to change my password it states internal sever error try again later this is not a option for me My baby is now in her crib with no monitor thanks to your crappy system What a joke     Nest ruined the whole system less then a star

This app opens and loads soooo SLOWLY on my iPhone 6 connected to wifi Please make it faster     Painfully Slow

I tried to add archiving after drop cam dropped my archiving The first try I gave them my credit card information and it rejected it The second try it thought I had already ordered it and ordered four more cameras so the billing was wrong since the cameras added after the first camera are discounted I had to call in and undo all of that The order system was still not stable enough as of September 9 2015 to process an order so they gave me free archiving until the end of September at which point the order system should be functional again and thats when Im supposed to go onto a desktop and purchase the archiving that they dropped me from        Dropcam isnt what it used to be

Seriously Its got a mind of its own It doesnt turn on when I leave the house and randomly does so when Im back home        Fix notifications

We used to love our dropcams but lately the app will crash or the servers will go down and log us out and then we cant login for several hours at a time The servers seem to be down a lot at night leaving us with loading screens or being logged it Its become useless to us as baby monitors for our children since its no longer reliable     App crashes wont login servers going down

I have never written a review but am so unhappy with this app that I am going out of my way to write it Every time I try to log in it either says network failure or incorrect password even though I know I am entering it correctly Now I cant see my baby napping from my older daughters room where my trusty Motorola monitor doesnt have reception Absolutely terrible     Terrible

From the app logging in and monitoring requires frequent and annoying Loading on a white screen On occasion including today the app has logged me AND my husband out of the app on our phones and does not recognize our username and password For a device intended to serve as a monitoring camera of a space its value depletes if one cannot actually USE the camera and appsinternet login as intended        Constantly loading now just offline via app and website

Ever since Dropcam came out with its new camera my prior version of Dropcam has been a useful device costing me 999 per month for cloud service I have not been getting email alerts as promised and advertised I have also had to jump up and down near the camera for 30 seconds or more before it senses any motion Perhaps the company is more focused on the new models ignoring the customers that purchased the prior models Anyway the almost 1 star should have been a clue to me Hopefully it will be a clue to you     One star makes sense to me now

It was wonderful before Nest and could not be worse now that Nest has taken over I have two drop cams and had plans for two more but now Illl be looking elsewhere and will definitely not consider any other Nest products after this experience     ruined by Nest

Wow I bought this camera and paid a premium for the simplicity and functionality and had loved it Since Nest took over the replay features are not working and customer support says now you HAVE to receive an email every time motion is detected It also takes 24 to 48 hours for the function to kick in Unbelievably poorly run company Tech support says they get these calls all day also     Nest Ruined DropCam

Since you tried to integrate Dropcam into Nest it has been a nightmare You force us to reset our password on Nest but then it does not work on Dropcam Horrible horrible app Horrible horrible app 1000x Follow up the Camera onoff should NOT be part of the settings It is so tedious involving so many steps It should be on the screen where you see the video By not providing another option to record videos other than your paid service further make the product more costly than it is already     Epic Fail

What is wrong with the nest app I have 5 cameras and loved the Dropcam app but the latest camera I purchased did not allow me to integrate into the Dropcam app so I am forced to use the Nest app on just that one camera Horrible Dropcam please allow the nest camera to use Dropcam App                 Love Dropcam app hate nest

Ive used dropcam for over two years and its been pretty good My biggest complaint is that I live in Europe now and cannot set the time for where u live Every time I get a notification I have to figure out at what time it actually meant to be by adding six hours Whats the point Let me set the time or use geolocation to figure out where my phones time zone is fix this not to mention that every time I go to the camera details the app crashes        Why must I pick an American Time zone

This app used the work well for years But now it always logs me off and when I enter my email and password it always says its wrong please fix    

Says password is wrong which has been the password for the past 2 years And its unable to reset the password because the site is slammed with inquiries Its broken and you cant even fix the problem because the site is down Horrible app since Nest took it over Also constantly gives a blackout screen and resets video every 23 minutes     Horrible

This camera and app are awful It is constantly losing connection and telling you your password is wrong when really its just the service that is down Which it always is So unreliable     Awful service
