The Drillbook Next is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 3.8 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.1 has been released on 2014-11-18. So much great potential with this app but efforts to get a response from support are futile iOS 9 had some bugs in rendering Pyware coordinate sheets but it was something I tweaked on my own because the end result was worth it Now with iOS 10 I can t even import a show I have 2 3s of our field show on the app and need to use a traditional drill book for the closer A real shame because this app was proving to be quite useful     Buyer beware ChaddyT

The app is very accessible for band directors to find a performer s spot right away share their coordinate with them if they need it and where their midpoint is if you re cleaning it in that fashion The app is also good for having performers be props so you know your stage in advance and the kids know where to go without hitting any stage designed props Tip for band directors have your drill writer write coordinates for props in your drill and this app plugs those prop locations in This app is the perfect cleaning drill app for a band director who doesn t need to run around the field but stand up on his her band tower with their long ranger The by the counts feature is great for pass throughs midpoint drills and rotation of forms You can also showcase this drill app by projecting it with your iPad with proper cables and show every performer their spot highlighted by touch screen throughout the whole show I have shown my students where their spot is throughout the show when I m down on the field cleaning drill and it really helps                     Best drill cleaning app ever Mtrombonec

I ve been using this app with my college marching band as a section leader It s a great tool to have on the field for section leaders staff and directors Once you have drill loaded up you can watch drill animation be able to find any dot on the field and even customize the field I think the only thing that I would like to see different is be able to customize the color of the main field not just the endzones                     Great app Blakrock11

Uploaded my pdf coordinates and had a fully animated show in 10 seconds Great tool for showing students how forms transition from set to set and after each individual step I m still learning the layout of the app but I am blown away by the functionality of the app I used it this afternoon to clean drill                     Great App Epetro453

The app is great for marching band Simple to use basically but with many features if you want to customize more It has a few bugs and the preview of shows plays frame by frame or step count by step count and it would be nice to be continuous instead But I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this app                     Great app Jakabo27

As a band director I ve fallen victim to carrying around the large binder of charts that the profession demands Not any more Upon seeing what this app can offer it s well worth the price both for students and directors Seeing every dot on the field in motion and at any time having the ability to click on a member and see their dot book coordinate is a massive timesaver and makes rehearsals infinitely more efficient If you re a director my suggestion is to spend the extra 2 3 dollars and upgrade to pro Many more features and perks that would really only benefit those in charge If you re a student the basic version will certainly be more than enough particularly for visual learners Please understand that this is NOT a drill writing program You technically can write drill using DrillBook but it s clumsy and unintuitive If you re looking for a great drill book program on iOS this is by far the best and the competition is not even close                     Simply the best drillbook app on the App Store NBRFWooo!

Beautiful well polished feature rich prefect for quickly knowing what the drill should look like and the exact coordinates for any student I no longer have to wait for a student to pull out their drill coordinates to tell me where they should be now I just ask what there drill number is and I can look it up faster and more efficiently Only issue is that it does not support follow the leader or rotations in the animation but considering how the app works that is understandable Thank you for developing such a fantastic and much needed app                     Wonderful tool for drill wooky

This app is one of the most amazing tools I have used in my years of teaching marching band So much you can do with it no more carrying around paper charts trying to explain what a move should look like students can watch step by step and see their coordinates the entire way A total game changer for my band                     Game Changer SHS Drumline

The interface looks really nice I would like to rate it just ONE star but I didn t cause it looks like the developer may be just starting and it appears to be good start to an extremely useful product to the band world I don t want to slow down the efforts However the App is so locked down it s really hard to evaluate whether the app is actually useful Plus I was disappointed cause I didn t see in the description it s only a demo and that the functions are so severely limited You can t even play the demo drill with out the pop up box wanting you to upgrade A great idea just needs to be unlocked a little more and be called Lite or something                 Nice Idea but demo is too locked down to eval mattnmusic
