DM Touch, the companion app to the Alesis DM Dock, transforms your iPad into a full-color, multi-touch drum module. With 10 professional drum kits from the leading software developer SONiVOX, you can instantly call up ...
I have an issue trying to save or change the midi note information for Tomtom one which doesnt automatically lineup as all my other drums do I see a place in settings to change this but no way to save it changing it in the field doesnt seem to have any effectI have an Roland HD1 and all the other drums match up perfectly with the Midi note numbers that are set by defaultI cant tell if this is a user error because I dont know what to do or if I need to go through a midi learning process for the pador if indeed there is a bug and needs to be fixed on this Its frustrating to have the entire drum set work perfectly including cymbals hi hat and everything with this one exception this one TomPlease help           MIDI note problem
I bought the DM Dock thinking I could breath new life into my aging electronic drum kit unfortunately the DM Touch software has been extremely glitchy as far as the drum kits not triggering correctly and the sounds become distorted after a few minutes of playing I cant believe this ever made it through any qa process There is no capability to load your own samples The only thing the software is good for is setting up the triggers At this point Im using Drums XD to serve up the sounds It does all that is needed except for utilizing the hh controller I also have the alesis pro x hh controller but it does not appear to be supported by the DM dock and DM touch Any plans to support that     Needs Work
This is the app every electronic drummer has been asking for Loading and editing kits is a breeze Dragging and dropping drum sounds and not having to go through several levels of menus is such a great feature The drums sound great too I cant wait to get my DM Dock and use this bad boy with my Ekit at home                 Finally
With iPad as a drum module this is unlimited opportunities for electric drum kits Thanks Alesis                 Finally a decent drum module
As long as it took Alesis to release this hardware software combo you would figure it would be more fleshed out with samples used from some of the best drum sets worldwide Unfortunately it is just a few kits with no way to adjust size tension or anything else On top of that you cannot record from within the software itself Something that is included even in the cheapest of drum brains Just a bare bones emulation which judging by Alesis past efforts with all of their instruments will remain exactly the same with no updates No matter how many customers beg and plead        Very Limited
Good sounding tunable kit configurable midi per drum Unfortunately the IAA implantation is broken Does not show up in Cubasis as instrument or generator Shows up in GarageBand but does not connect AudioBus would be a welcome addition        Promising needs a fix
I decided to load the app and play with the app first before I purchase the docking station I was surprised to find the limited amount of variability there was to the App The sounds are very elementary I would suggest this would be an excellent application for a beginner There is no way that I would spend the money on the docking station now I am sure that in the future the product will develop into something worth using at a pro level     Long ways to go
Im excited this works with my dm10                 Awesome
The drums sound great and the latency is surprisingly low even on an iPad 1st gen An encouraging and excellent beginning This app just needs a couple of features before I invest in a DM Dock background audio support I dont wanna leave this in the foreground ALL the time startstop button for the metronome for sending MIDI clock out use the app as a master clock Other features that would be VERY useful brush snare sounds surprised there arent any iPhone support lots of reasons why assign tap temp to a padMIDI note number so I can adjust tempo on the fly via a pedal or trigger ability to edit the MIDI note numbers for kit pieces and assign kits a program change number for external MIDI devices eg Alesis IO           Really Good for an early version
I was excited for this to come out but sadly you cannot load in your own samples Will this be an update Seems completely useless to be locked into using the provided samples The ability to do that would make this program and associated hardware much more functional     Limited
