This app is the latest step forward for the Digital Concert Hall which Ive subscribed to on the Internet for about 3 years NOW Apple listen up This is the most innovative effort yet made around the world to deliver worldclass cultural events to the individual Thus it is imperative that you add this to your AppleTV capability as well There is plenty of sports presence but NO cultural presence Get with it Appleyour stock keeps going down                 Berliner Philharmoniker on the edge

This is nothing short of amazing Live and tons of archived concerts from arguably the best orchestra in the world Not a whole lot from the Karajan days but for the past 5 years theyve recorded every concert with superb directing and many 8 I think cameras Deeply thoughtful conversations with performer or conductor supplement almost every concert Many movies The app has performed flawlessly for me Two suggestions 1 support chromecast in the app I can use the chrome browser and do it but itd be much cleaner if the app supported it 2 please please please reproduce the concert notes that appear in the programs if you go to a live concert Youve got to have that in electronic format somewhere Even if its not in the app itd be nice to have access to those notes Pro tip Subscribing through iTunes store saves you over doing so online 1999mo vs Euro 1999mo its kind of too bad though because Im sure the Berlin Phil sees a much smaller cut if you do it that waymaybe they could offer US pricing                 Wowie Zowie

The Berlin Philharmonic is definitely one of the finest orchestras in the world and now you can enjoy them in the comfort of your own home for a small fee I have an iPad and watch the concerts through Apple TV Highly recommended                 Phenomenal high quality performances

Especially if you have Apple TV you can enjoy years and years worth of concerts for a nominal ticket price of 10 for 10 days or a little more for a month Phenomenal value very high quality video and audio These are all LIVE concerts recorded expertly but there are also realtime live concerts you can enjoy A great resource                 Inexhaustible and perfect app for music lovers

I guess it used to be 30 month now the cost is 24 They also have a 7 day option which Id probably renew at instead of prepaying for the whole year I know its a moneymaking venture but it still feels good to support the arts and let them know that there is an audience for this kind of content online Developer has continued to add support for various platforms and with this most recent update a feature which allows music to continue to play in the background or when you turn the screen off Picture quality is great and expect to find a lot more than just the Grand Masters                 Continually improving

For a week I enjoyed the incredible pleasure of watching these concerts on my app on my iPod 3 and streaming via Airplay to my Apple TV However after a week it quit I can no longer open the concert files only the previews I have emailed the tech support reloaded deleted signed in on other Apple devices iPhone 3GS nothing works and they dont know how to help me they said it should work on iPhone 4but it is the same software and they claim compatibility with my device Does anyone else have this problem It still plays on a computer just not the portable devices which defeats the purpose of an app Unless this gets fixed I will not be able to enjoy the concerts in full I will gladly rereview when this is fixed Update 2913 now every time I push any button a pop up screen says error please someone help fix this app     Amazing but Frustrating buggy

I buy this mostly for long flights and the offline streaming feature is broken Though I have downloaded performances to my device I am asked to login again with my ticket On international flights without wifi this means I cant watch anything Please fix        Great except offline

Digital Concert Hall is a fantastic service I love spending time going through the extensive catalogue of on demand concerts Great musicians hall HD av quality etc However the inexplicable lack of Chromecast support in the iOS app is very disappointing        Great service lacking Chromecast support

This is entertaining educational and insightful I find myself unable to leave this app after opening it From the interviews bios catalogue live events and the two free concerts it is hard to not enjoy Mahlers Symphony no 1 is phenomenal Long live the Berliner Philharmonic                 Great App

The app has always worked flawlessly for me The quality of the sound and video is astounding Watching live performances is a true thrill The Berliner Philharmoniker is unquestionably one of the great orchestras arguably the best in the world There is an extensive library of performances by von Karajan who was clearly way ahead of his time committing these performances to posterity                 Superb in all respects

Great idea this app The main thing is the offline mode though and you cant use it Distorted picture most of the time Tech support promised they will fix it in the next upgrade Once this is solved this app will jump to 5     Video distortions in offline mode iPad

This is a great app concept etc but one of the reasons I subscribed was the ability to download and watch videos offline With the latest update this once buggy feature simply no longer works Im told to log in to my account when attempting to stream offline which is clearly impossible Fix this and it will be perfect as far as I can see           Offline Streaming Not so much

Over all I like the app It is hard to fast forward on videos Is there any way to add markers for movements or acts like on the normal website I could see problems if wanting to start at Act 2 of Porgy for example or movement 6 of Mahler 3 etc           Review

This is a really beautiful app Tons of great concerts movies and interviews presented in an elegant and easy to use app Bravo                 Wonderful treat

For a couple of years I have been using a saved DCH website icon on my iPad to access live and recorded concerts I have used Apple TV Airplay to show the concerts on my TV That arrangement has worked very well but this new iPad App is a terrific improvement in ease of access to all the DCH material I was pleased that after signing in with my old name and password my previously marked favorites were easily available The new material about orchestra members and the layout of the upcoming concerts with start times converted to my location is another fine feature The quality of this app is typical of the high quality of the whole DCH experience                 Very Nice App

Do yourself a favor and just try it the amount and quality of the content is jaw dropping Aside from amazing performances the actual design and interface of this app is perfect WOW                 Incrediblereally astounding

Ill likely never make it to Berlin but DCH makes it possible for me to see the Berlin Philharmoniker perform not only live they stream individual performances but also recent archived performances like BPOs very worthwhile Sibelius cycle from a few years back and even classic footage like some of Karajans Beethoven performances DCH also features a small selection of films about the BPO as well as interviews with Simon Rattle guest conductors and guest performers eg Alisa Weilerstein or Sol Gabetta The production quality is simply top drawer I am not a fullyear subscriberthats far beyond my time and monetary budgetbut DCH offers a weeklong subscription that makes for a great treat from time to time These short term subscriptions are a great way to introduce yourself to the DCH Now and then when my wife and kids are away Ill make a date to attend a BPO concert virtuallyits a fun event and it keeps me out of trouble I very much enjoyed the low promotional price of 5 for a weekplease bring that back or consider other lowcost options How about 3 or 5 for one night with the Berlin Philharmoniker The mobile apps iPhone and iPad are very good and getting better They are thoughtfully designed and they work as smoothy as one would hope I highly recommend classical fans give DCH a spin              Join the Berlin PhilharmonikerWherever You Are
