I use this app along side my calibrated official sound level meter to document the readings and they are always ON with the calibrated meter I would request that the frequency also get documented with the sound level              Excellent

Great app but after you run the app your processor will run at 80 until your battery dies really fast I turned off the app and even deleted it but my processor stayed running at 80 the only way to fix it is to restore your iPod to a previous state Dont download till the bug is fixed But it is a great app     Processor attacking bug

Great except the decibel offset bar is to sensitive it would be nice I u added and controls              1thing

Looks like the person who wrote this app doesnt care that much about it Its near the end of February 2013 and you still get a blank email after recording a sample Thats the main reason I picked this app Without it its fairly useless to me Doesnt seem as if the developer cares since people have been complaining about it since at least November 2012     Records nothing

I am a Medical Doctor and App Developer who is concerned with noise pollution and hearing loss I use it to quantify the level of noise in my environment                 Great app

Ive downloaded a few db apps and found this to be the best                 Incredible Technology

I love the idea of this app The interface is very nice also And is FREE It lacks in accuracy however I am an automotive test engineer I have experience evaluating the noise levels of automotive products I decided to test this app out compared to a sound level meter only took a very quick walk around lab and office I found that the numbers did not match up very well I believe it was within 10 dB however I think the strongest reason for the inaccuracy was due to lower frequency sounds To properly measure low frequency a larger microphone is needed I dont know the size that comes with the iphone but I can not imagine it being that large My recommendations for future updates Consider allowing different frequency weighting scales dBA is very popular Consider a weighting scale for the iphone microphone if mic does not pick up lower frequency very good you may be able to digitally amplify the expected signal at that frequency Consider specifying the frequency range that this app is good for           Love the idea and interfacebut accurate

I Dont know yet if it is precise but I like the fact that you can calibrate it and it has another functions              Brewer

For the ppl who complain about not being able to turn it off When you exit the app double tap the home button and turn off the app from the list Just like delete              Good app for the price

This app used to be good but is now spoiled by invasive full page ads and a really annoying high ad refresh rate for the bottom banner Devs have to eat but this is just silly Sadly the pro version is way overpriced I am switching to another app     Now with invasive ads

I was at a concert and wanted to measure how many decibels the obnoxious band had their guitar up to and it said 100 however when I am sitting here talking at a tolerable volume it jumps up to 100 Never surpassing it Im no sound expert but that doesnt seem right        Not accurate

After trying all the dosimeterdecibel meter apps on the market this app is the most accurate and easy to use It is frequently updated by the developer to support the latest devices and operating systems unlike the vast majority of competing apps As a tinnitus sufferer this app is vital to my hearing health to prevent further hearing damage Thank you for developing and maintaining this app you have no idea how much it has impacted my life                 Excellent

Prior to the iOS7 update the app was working fine Seems broken now     Broken in iOS7

Really I dont know much about this stuff but I did see a web page talking about this dudes 18 in sub that hits a whooping 134 dB Well Im currently riding in a car with the volume on low and no substantially great speakers and according to the app Im hitting 7085 dB Something just doesnt seem correct to me           Eh

This app is great for recording noise levels and then emailing them to yourself For me the data export feature was essential as it allowed me to generate graphs of noise levels And Its free Awesome Add dBA filtering and it will be SUPERawesome                 Great for recording noise levels

Very nice layout Easy to read Simple to use Ok ok the But It doesnt remember that you set the mic to 10 after you read the info page it defaults at zero Then its very hard to get the offset to an exact value Over all its a great app I recommend using this one Thanks DJB              Sweet But

Try using a real decimeter It works the same as this app only can cost up to 100 The closer you are to the source the louder it will be So if a band from 50 yards reads 100db Dont be surprised when your talking voice is the same at 2 inches Do a little research before you post negative comments I am a sound engineer This app works nearly as well as many decimeters do              Uneducated

This app would have been perfect but dont download unless you want your battery capacity to be cut by 80 There is a major flaw unrelated to accuracy it runs the processor constantly whit no way turn it off download it and see what I mean you usage will equal your standby so have fun recharging your phone every 8 hours Forget about having any standby time while this app sits on your phone     Too good to be true

The new version is supposed to be calibrated for the iPhone 4S yet when I exhale about a foot from the mic on my 4S it registers at 93 dB which is supposed to be louder than a car horn I have a real meter and the values this app reports dont match at all Likely its not weighted correctly           Not particularly accurate

You get what you pay for Lots of potential but this app is relatively confusing with a bad UI and sadly the record a sample feature that is intended to include the data log into an email appears to be broken at least in recent versions of iOS That said if youre looking for a free sound metering app this one has some solid features for free Just takes some patience to figure out its quirks           Many features many bugs

Decibel meter doesnt move after initial measurement on my iPad or iPhone 5 both with iOS 7 It worked on both before the upgrade It continues to work on old iPod touch with version 613 the latest for that iPod           Doesnt seem to work right on ios7

Cant sleep due to husbands snoring so as Im lying in bed grumpy I wonder just how loud it is and lo and behold there is an app for that and free to boot If I cant sleep I might as well amuse myself and have statistical evidence for my grouchiness tomorrow morning Thanks                 Very nice

The only thing Ultra in this app is the ads After starting the app you get to see the primary screen for less than 3 seconds before it switches to a full page ad In those 3 seconds its not possible to take in anything This is the worst example of adware I have seen yet     Insane Adware

It used to be a great app but since iOS7 its not working at all Please fix it        Needs upgrade
