This is the most unreliable app that I have I actually pay for the right to have access to this information and the app fails to open more often than it actually works This needs to be fixed Unstable
Slowest app on the ipad Today March 3 the today page has a story from Jan 3 which has been there for two months Deleted it today Crap
I would love to access my online subscription at home on my iPad but it takes forever to load and then when I click on articles to read the app crashes Crashes every time
Why do I pay for a subscription that I can rarely read Garbage
I really like the new app but error 500 keeps popping up when I try to read an article now Errors
It is annoying having the same daily problem with each days update requiring a new entry for ID and password to log in and read The app does not remember the initial login info and the user must renter every day after the daily update App has issues opening
This is the 3rd time I have loaded the Crains Chicago Bus app on to my iPad It used to work fine When I can access it its great But its pain right now Cannot view Crains app

Love the content but I cant get much of it to open without crashing I cannot get the opinion section to stay open at all Crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to open the section or an article If this cannot be resolved I will have to cancel as it is pointless to pay for something that Crains cannot deliver CRASH
Some days it opens and some days it doesnt Try to reinstall but doesnt always work Not reliable
Love having this available however it forgets my subscription after every daily update I then have to remind it of my paper subscription including my account number before it will let me log on A So when I click on a link in my daily update email it takes me initially to the web site and then pushes me to a page telling me to buy the app which I already have Im going to delete the app until all this is fixed Too bad Buggy
The App is super fast I like the unique yet intuitive navigation in the app to move through various sections On my retna iPad the graphics and crispness of images and fonts is fantastic As a Crains Chicago Business subscriber I like that I can view what is in my current print publication as well as being able to see breaking news This just made the Crains Chicago Business content much more valuable I highly recommend this app Amazing App

If your actually all about business get to business and fix this App great reads but never loads UPDATE AND FIX
Ive always relied on Crains magazine to give me indepth stories and breaking news Now with this fantastic iPad app Im up to date on the go Love it Must have Awesome app
While the app looks pretty good and is easy to navigate the main issue for this negative review as the app doesnt remember the login information I have to enter it every time Plus what makes it worse is that if you have a print subscription you have to enter your customer number and then login with your email This two step process happens every time you open the app including times when you just switch between apps Like the other reviewer said its a frustrating app Doesnt stay logged in
For all its great content and excellent business coverage for Chicago Crains still has a ways to go with its app It doesnt autorefresh when opened be sure to hit Latest News or youll open to old news it doesnt recognize your account login when linking from articles in the app to their website content still within the app window requiring another login and the app windows skin or frame often overlaps with an articles author line or first sentence Cmon folks Your readership may skew as older white men but weve learned how to use our iPads Catch up Bottom line Great news source okay app Crains can do better
This app requires ios 6 which is NOT supported on an iPad 1 original iPad Crains must not want to have customers with older technology technology that still works fine Or some programmer was not paying attention when they built it Oh no Crains for us Does not work on iPad 1

I was excited when I saw the ad for the new app however it quickly disappointed As the other reviewers already mentioned having to constantly login in some cases twice is very frustrating Please fix Fix the login process
Application is extremely buggy and slow Right now I cant even get it to open keeps crashing Tried reinstalling even hard reset of my iPad didnt fix the problem This is the most problematic app Ive ever had Buggy
Stories dont load Photos dont load Spinners galore Clicking on a storys blurb pulls up the exact same blurb with no additional content What did I just pay for Not worth the money

Crains has great content and would get 5 stars if it didnt keep crashing 75 of the time it fails to open and Images sometimes never appear This is a great app If only it were more stable Keeps crashing

I downloaded Waited for the update to say complete then theres nothing there Then I removed the app Hello iPad apps arent new You need to be better than this Slow and Poor
I can bring the app up but when I attempt to access any of the profiles in the 40 under 40 section it immediately crashes 40 under 40 article causes app to crash
When I launch the app the synchronizing circle gets stuck a quarter of the way through and then nothing more happens no matter how long I wait except for the constant drain on my iPad battery Same thing happened after deleting the app and reinstalling Content never loads
This app crashes constantly when updating articles Absent a fix it is functionally useless Very frustrating
Three main issues 1 App keeps crashing 2 It does not update automatically when you launch it despite the fact that it shows todays date the actual content is not updated 3 And this one drives me crazy it does not save my credentials and log ins and for me to view full content I have to find my subscription and go through full registration every firkin time Hope some one from the journal reads these reviews but doesnt seem like it based on the number of previous bad reviews that people wrote and nothing happened Makes you want to unsubscribe
I could write out the news in crayon go get coffee in another state and this app STILL wouldnt be loaded Why do these companies release without fully testing Worst
I pay for content on this App that keeps closing as soon as you open Fix it Fine until it stopped opening
Not sure what other reviewers experienced but after the initial download of data 3045 seconds all went well with the application and was able to view same articles that were in todays print edition Long overdue
