Really nice app that covers the topic interestingly But and it s a massive BUT the star of the show is missing The constitution has a scan but good luck trying to read it You can t zoom it With all the hard work put into a nice multimedia experience one button that opens a window so you can actually read the Constitution is a glaring oversight         Should be an easy 4 star app but the real star of the show is missing Dude named Ben

As my kids and I used the app we have been very impressed Very fun and easy to use The only mistake I found was is the app explains that the Supreme is supposed to interpret the Constitution but that is not correct The Supreme Court is supposed to PROPERLY apply the law in escalated court cases The Constitution is was a Farmer Scholar document and was never considered to require interpretation             Very Nice App tim2c4v2

edit after cc ing this review to the developers I received a cordial and lengthy reply Props to them Consequently I m making a few edits marked in brackets I was optimistic about this app but a brief look disappointed me If you have a 6 12 year old who is interested in history this app could be a good starting point But Very quickly I found the following problems The map showing state boundaries through the years shows modern boundaries when earlier years are selected so as to be less confusing to young children For example the 1790 boundaries of Georgia are portrayed as identical to the current boundaries when they actually included huge parts of Alabama and Mississippi Low resolution scan of the original constitution If you zoom in enough to read it it is too blurry And that s the only option for reading the Constitution in the app A text version is not included Bill of Rights a readable scan is available but still a bit blurry Also sometimes the page showing the document won t load at all but this might be my iPad 2 iOS 5 1 The rest of the amendments are not included although select summaries are Additionally the app description which apparently is generic for all Discover Kids apps says there are Interactive 3D models Nope Although there is a 360 panorama of the Supreme Court room High definition video and audio H def video well there s a one second clip of a gavel What is hi def audio Hi res photographs cartoons and animations Hi res photographs not really see above Cartoons well comics Animations the bare minimum of movement Quizzes puzzles and other fun games One quiz five questions The puzzle has the solution showing the whole time The games are not that fun but maybe more so for very young users I guess my hopes were too high for this app but it seems like including a readable copy of the actual Constitution is not too much to ask The devs say they will look into adding it             Not what I hoped for Lego Damashii

I enjoyed this app I used it to help my 9 year old learn about the constitution It keeps the interest of both a child and an adult                     Incredible app Utah pete

This is a fantastic app Teaching the constitution is required at my grade level This app goes much deeper than our textbook I can t wait to use it                     A great teaching resource ymakers

There s a question about what it mean to plead the fifth The answer says witnesses can plead the fifth but the amendment doesn t say that The fifth says the accused can avoid being made a witness against himself by pleading the fifth Other witnesses must answer because they are not the accused There are too many problems with this app s presentation of history regarding the Constitution Bill of Rights and amendments to detail here so I gave the one good citation Hopefully other people will trust but verify all that this app mentions It lacks immensely in showing how difficult it was to create a new government in such as way as to avoid the pitfalls of various prior forms of government Why are there two Senators per state What was the original method for selecting Senators and why It s different than electing Representatives and for good reason History shows Senator selection changed at a certain point but why It s important to know Trust but verify and don t rely solely on the links this app provides         Fifth Amendment inaccuracy pkeyrich
