Ive used this app successfully in Tx sessions from pic ID to written expression to working on carrier phrases Patients really love the vivid and adultfriendly photos Recently a client with severe apraxia of speech successfully expressed to his spouse what he wanted for dinner using the food pics which is the type of communication we all strive for as SLPs for our severe clients Overall a good buy I would recommended it to a friendcolleague Good tool to have
ComminicAide is priced fairly The program is simple to navigate Creating new items is fast and easy I was able to take photos of items for a patient and make new buttons for him in minutes The flexibility offered by the program is appreciated Unnecessary or unwanted items can easily be moved to the library to create a less distracting field for the patient Additional flexibility is noted in that a patient can build a sentence consisting of several elements or use the photos for single word communication efforts depending on the patients skill level The developer replied to questions in a timely manner and her efforts allowed me to provide better service to my patient Thanks for an affordable flexible AAC app Thank you
I recently downloaded this app for my family member who suffered a stroke and was unable to communicate verbally This was by far one of the best decisions I have ever made The app is so easy to use that my 75 year old relative who had never used an iPad before was able to pick it up in about 5 minutes CommunicAide has provided him with a new sense of independence as he is now able to ask for things he may need communicate with others and describe any physical discomfort he may have The option to add your own pictures is a great feature that allows us to customize the app to meet our needs If you have a loved one with any sort of communication difficulties this app will change their life I cannot recommend it enough Absolutely Incredible
I purchased this app because I need an AAC on my iPad I have PPA and love how simple adult friendly and being to record my voice before my speech is gone I also love the idea to add more pictures or phrases Even mom can use this with me Worth the money
