This app was so convenient to a family of first timers Sometimes finding the actual location was a little difficult and the actual names of shops weren t the same as the app It was nice to know which sites were open the times they were open and what we were learning at each site                 Convenient hollyb34

This new version of Colonial Williamsburg Explorer improves on the last that crashed frequently was unable to redraw the map in response to movements But I can hardly believe that the app including the map does not use landscape display This makes the map almost unusable again One excellent suggestion from previous versions was to provide a user login that would link reservations at CW facilities to the app An opportunity was missed in ignoring this CW is slowly crawling into the 20th century but they need to pick up the pace or they will be left in the dust         Still needs work Fan in Williamsburg

The app badly needs a schedule for more than the current day Events at Colonial Williamsburg vary day to day so for planning your week it s essential to have the upcoming week s schedule Not having that is a major omission and makes the app almost not worth it     Needs weekly schedule Chris4512

I downloaded it in preparation of our trip at the end of May and I immediately deleted it The map is such a mess all of the icons are piled on top of each other so there is no way to click on something easily when looking at the whole map but when you zoom in so you can select an icon you can t tell how far away something is and how to really get there The ease of using it was a 5 so I dumped it and I will use the website to plan anything and a paper map when I get there     Needs changed drastically Rungean

Lots of minor details make this app annoying I used it to help plan our trip because Colonial Williamsburg does not offer any other map on line Some simple fixes would make the app much more user friendly and useful Bus stops and Parking lots have the same icon at least the color should be different None of the locations are identified on the map itself making it very hard to see things in relation to each other Map needs a title at the point of each icon The items in the List should link to a location on the Map Currently the only link is from an icon on the Map to an item in the List         Needs improvement Retired Floridian

Just got here downloaded the app and searched for the visitors center Found it in a list but no address and no directions The map is cluttered with symbols but no labels until you click on each one Still looking for the visitors center     Where is everything g-b

This is a good supplement to the detailed paper map It gives you a list of the day s tours and activities Search events by time of day or scroll through the day s listings You can filter for specific categories like kid friendly events or evening programs Click on each to find details tours an directions It can split between the list and a map but this map is a rough compilation of icons without useful map detail If you click on the icon or Get Directions in the list of activities it opens a more detailed map with directions distance and walking times This is helpful for seeing how to get to any site from your current location The drawback is that it can only show street routes so it excludes the many walking paths in the town Still this is a great feature I use it even though I have been visiting here for 25 years and know my way around quite well                     A good supplement mjs1727
