It weighs in at only 9.2 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.0 has been released on 2014-07-10. The unit itself is great The wifi functionapp is useless Theres an article in Cigar Aficionado Oct 2015 that says it the mobile app can be set up in less than an hour An hour This should take less than 5 minutes Anyway I gave up after 15 minutes The instructions direct you to menus on their website that dont exist Unit is terrific app worthless Apple forces you to a minimum of a one star rating but for me it gets zero Awful
They ask for address phone number even a list of devices and their ID numbers No SIR you jerks Not on my watch You dont need that info Is this an NSA front JESUS Asked for WAY Too Much Personal Info
While Im not worried about big brother tracking my stogies I dont like that I have to log in every time I open the app If everything is serialized then why not just allow me to stay signed in as its only my devices that I can monitor I agree with the previous post stating that it would be awesome to get notifications of needing refills or any other issues I need to address Still needs work
Connectivity to humidor is arduous and registration is seemingly unnecessary Why so much required personal info I felt like I was filling out background check paperwork for purchasing a gun Are my illegal Cuban cigars of personal interest to Cigar Oasis And why the need to enter a password just to check the humidity level when I open the app Once in the app the only useful features are the ability to change the humidity setting and the current humidity level The linechart styled graphs are relatively useless What would be GREATis if the app would alert you when the humidifier is empty or when the humidity drops below a certain threshold That would instantly double the value of being wirelessly connected to your humidor Then you would never run the risk of allowing your cigars to dry out Lots of worklittle reward
New update no more access Poor design Bugs freezes
I had mine set up in five minutes Just followed the included directions and was up and running Its pretty neat so far however I just set it up today so hopefully it will keep working well Works great so far
