I use this app in my back yard to call birds in and they frequently respond to it I hooked it up to speakers and called in a great horned owl What fun I hope you continue to add more birds to this app                 love it

Needs some patches though Birds by region is way off For example there are Blue Jays in Colorado              Amazing

I LOVE Chirp the only thing I wish they hadbeing from Florida more sea shore birds Other than that I think the sounds info etc is perfect and I use this app consistently and recommend it to others all of the time                 Great sight no question

This is great addition to my growing bird app collection The app is informative educational and fun The sound and picture quality for each bird presented is exceptional I like the slideshow and quiz feature They have helped me to identify the birds by sounds So many times we hear birds before we see them and being able to identify by sound is a plus I would recommend this app              Fun

I love this app I call robins blue jays and cardinals to my backyard with this It has beautiful songbirds that you can identify just by listening                 More than chirps

This is a wonderful program My seven year old granddaughter loves playing the identification game with me Wed give it a five star if by choosing the correct bird the app would also sound the proper chirp The images are crisp sharp and vivid The bird songs are clear and free of extraneous noise well modulated On second thought we give it a five star              Close to a five star

This is a fun app I bought it for my husband but I use it late afternoon just as the birds are going to bed We have a lot of birds in my yard as my husband feeds them provides houses and baths I sit out in my swing with my wee dog Ruby who is a Yorkie We swing and when the birds get quiet I play some of their sounds and sometimes I hear them come back at me from the trees The sounds are very accurate and sound just like the ones I hear from them everyday There are a couple of them that are not good They are much too soft and hard to distinguish but overall a good buy From Mimaju                 Chirp Bird Songs USA

If you have an interest in birds this is a great app You can listen to samples of bird songs to track which birds you are hearing in your area I also love the slide show feature                 Love it

I am now sitting on my deck listening to eastern starlings and sparrows Knowing that we have cardinals in the area I played the app for cardinals In less then 2 minutes a junior male showed up to check it out I stopped and played again and actually got swooped Cant get much more real than this Amazing                 Swooped by a cardinal

Update renders App useless Crashes on starting     Chirp Bird Songs USA

Just installed the new update a couple days ago and now it wont even run Tap to start screen goes dark as if the splash screen is about to load then promptly crashes back to Home Screen Note iphone4 works great ipad crashes And I love the variety of birds Awesome app Just saw someone else is having same problem and I also am using the iphone version on the ipad do I need to get the ipad specific version                 New App crashes to home page

I really enjoy using this app When you are outside and hear a birdsong you cant identify you can use this app and sort the bird list by song type Then you can easily go through the common types of birds whose songs are high pitched or long and tuneful I also like that theyve done a decent job at including the various sounds birds make Ex Blackcapped chickadees make very different noises and if you werent familiar with them you might think the sounds come from two separate birds I hope they continue to add more calls and sounds in addition to songs All in all best app I have                 Worth the

This app is well designed and incredibly thorough All of the birds at my backyard feeder are represented here and most entries have multiple sound clips demonstrating different songs and calls Ive finally been able to learn to identify many birds by their songs with the help of this app I had a question about the app and the developer responded right away                 An Amazing App The best birding app Ive found

I used this outside and a male cardinal started to respond to the call Another time I used it a brown headed cowbird call and the male and female responded This is a great app                 Cardinal

These later versions have increased the number of birds and songs still need more of the different sounds each makes The links to Wikipedia and the Cornell site are a great addition              Very useful app

UPDATE I always read reviews before upgrading so I didnt upgrade immediately due to the bad reviews Fortunately I accidentally upgraded it today but I am SO HAPPY that I did I love the slide show My birds love it too Its not QUITE like my suggestions but Im satisfied I have IPT3G64gb ios 40 if that helps anyone No crashes yet Maybe it has something to do with my refusal and laziness to upgrade the ios I read several posts from people sharing the app with their kids cats and students Im sharing it with my African Grey Congo parrot in hopes hell pick up a few chirps I love all the sounds but there are a few that would drive my family crazy if my bird adopted them That being said I have a suggestion Ever thought about adding a folder where we can save our favorites that we enjoy listening to Two more suggestions Is it possible to add an option to listen to more than one bird at a time There are about five birds I heard around me where I grew up By meshing these together I could close my eyes and feel like a little girl againlaying outside on a blanket under the warm sun and occasional breeze is it possible to include a lineup To select several birds to sing in a line Then we can fall asleep listening to the birds chirping Sorry but I just thought of another Wouldnt it be awesome if we could pick and choose which birds we want to hear THEN have an alarm system built in so we wake up to the sound of our favorite birds singing Wow How cool would it be to wake up in heavenly angelic sounds Can you do it Huh Huh Pretty please with a cherry on top                 Love it

I went to the woods and plugged my phone into my car stereo put the cardinal call on and cranked the volume Next thing I know there are about 20 cardinals flying around my car Then I tried a couple others and sure enough they showed up too Pretty neat                 Fun

this is a great appthe pics are great and the info as wellthe kids love to look for birds in the yard and hear them The only thing I would like to see is a way to record a bird chirp and have it find the bird in the data base based on the chirp this would be especially usefull if you cant actually see the bird                 awesome
