Wonderful The application was a joy to have on a recent trip to another part of the country that we dont drive often Instead of a spouse having to nag the app does the notifying Only real break through improvement I could see added is crowd sourcing speed when the app is guessing A passenger should be able to click once on the guess speed and have a pull down speed limit choice to select and OK This would do two things 1 allow for accuracy in temporary multiday construction zones because crowdsourcing would reset to normal limits when construction is gone and 2 provide a means of correcting the speed limit database being used Crowdsourcing is when 80 of say 100 people have said the speed limit us X                 Keeping vacations a pleasure

Love the app does exactly as advertised and gives the user plenty of customization My one feature request would be able to let the user submit the real speed for areas that are guessed at by Checkit Then Checkit could confirm the submission and add it to the database Another idea would be an iCloud database of usersupplied speeds to fill the gaps of the data coming from the app This allows the user to fix certain areas that Checkit may be incorrect or missing speed data Great App keep up the great work                 Best Speedo for iOS7

It will shout the frequently incorrect speed limit at you every 5 minutes and there is literally no way to turn it off even if the app is not open I uninstalled immediately and want my money back     Unbelievably stupid design

I downloaded this to know the local speed limits however even on major highways it displays nothing except current speed If you turn the guess feature on it will do so but it hasnt guessed accurately even on the interstate Complete waste of money     Worthless

The little app is a good start to something that maybe one day will be really cool for me The Good Speedometer works good but there are 50 apps that do that It alerts you if your X miles over the speed limit The Bad Updating the speed limits automatically based on where you are I would say you cannot depend on it being accurate Its all over the place In major metropolitan areas and major interstates At times it seems to have old data and other times theres no telling where the data is coming from The Guess functionality should be removed because it ALWAYS guesses something really low its a chunk of code thats taking up space I would pay money for an app like this that worked because it suits how I drive on the interstate It allows me to set a speed that I want to get alerted in say 10mph over what the limit is and then alerts me if Im over that Improvements Make it accurate Without this its worthless Give me options of how it alerts me like a beep beep bell buzzer Allow me to select the not to exceed rate in increments of 1 instead of 5s           A good start

This app is perfect and exactly what I was looking for I hate not knowing the speed limit and it seems like there is never a sign when you need one The app is simple to use and pleasant to look at Its not over congested with unnecessary features and so far seems to be accurate with the speed youre going as well as the posted speed limits                 Whats the speed limit

I want to love this app I love the interface Its a great concept Sadly the speed limit information tends to be wildly inaccurate to often to make the app useful On highways it works fine But smaller roadways tend to be totally inaccurate Sad Theres lots of potential here        Too often incorrect

This is a terrible app and it was a waste of my money I got it to use during traveling when I didnt know the speed limit I have used it several times and verified it and not once has it been right on the speed limit I dont recommend this app and if I were you I would not waste your money on this app     Completely ineffective

I love love love the interface on this Very simple very clean not convoluted with a billion buttons That said it still needs a little work I took it on a long drive through the central valley of California There seem to be lots of times where it would just drop out Forget where I was and not report the current speed limit my speed or anything Used dropouts rarely lasted more than a minute or two I also noticed many instances where it confused where I was with roads that were parallel to the highway even though GPS was reporting accuracy to within 15 feet In doing that it would suddenly tell me that the speed limit was 40 or less when I was doing 65 Although it was obvious what was happening it was no less annoying Not sure if this is a GPS hardware shortcoming or not but the developers need to incorporate some logic that senses a users speed time and direction rather than just gps to help determine whether they turned off onto a road with a slower speed limit For example why would a vehicle traveling in a relatively straightline suddenly appear on a parallel road with half the speed limit and then suddenly appear back on the road it was previously on only moments before The other thing I might suggest is capping the number of audible warnings I like that it tells me when Im within a certain speed limit but there needs to be a cap on the number of warnings After five or six Im pretty sure I got the message All in all a great little app Cant wait to see how they improve it              Looks beautiful but still a little quirky

Pros Current speed direction on compass altitude above sea level and estimation of GPS accuracy correct 99 of the time Cons While traveling on the highway access roads roads under the highway bridges and ramps frequently become the presumed road you are on causing the app to give false warnings of excess speed Ex Youre going 65 mph on the highway and app says youre now on a side road perpendicular to the highway or an exit ramp or access road with speed limit 40 mph Warning for excess speed is given because youre going the speed limit on the highway App loses current speed limit data because you pass over the side road app has to gather new data to put you back on the highway This situation happens very frequently even if youre in the left lane furthest lane away from ramps access roads The warningalarm of excess speed is just a softspoken womans voice speaking the current speed limit Ex Speed limit 65 mph Warning set to 5 mph over speed limit You go 71 mph Warningalarm is womans voice saying 65 miles per hour repetitively Directions on use are nonexistent Ex You can choose background colors but it seems the colors occur in the app randomly There are Highway and Road speed alert settings but no instructions on use though it is intuitive Suggestions for improvement Put a 510 sec delay before changing location when speed exceeds 50 mph Provide clear instructions on use Allow for other values to trigger speed warning Current values are too limited Ex 8 or 9 mph above speed limit in addition to the current 1 5 or 10 other higher values are also available but do you really need a warning if youre exceeding the speed limit by 15 20 or 25 mph        Needs improvement

Perfect addition to a gps that does not display speed limits This app shows speed limit my speed and warns if i go over the limit Shows correct speed limit 99 of the time Probably saved me from a ticket already                 Great app very helpful and accurate

I downloaded about 10 different speedometers while at stop lights for my motorcycle This is the only one I can find the shows speed limit on the road you are traveling as well as the name of the road Very useful I got used to this type of feature on my new Ford Explorer Its not overly complicated with a map yet its classy and ties in decently with the iOS7 scheme I have my iPhone 5s clipped in a case above my actual speedometer The color options were awesome Found one day and night that matched my other gauges perfectly I dont even use the regular speedometer anymore Looks pretty sweet at night Could be difficult to see in the day depending on the direction of the sun                 Best speedometer Stop your other downloads

Fantastic app Ive missed the speed limit feature since I got rid of my old Garmin A couple of feature requests 1 Can you make a visual warning appear when a person hits their alert speed The audible alerts only play when my phone is selected as my audio source 2 Can you make 1 through 9 options available for alert speeds I usually try to keep it just under 10 over Thanks and great app              A couple feature requests

I have looked for an app like this for a long time I hate not knowing the speed limit and this app is the answer to that problem Watch support would be awesome How nice would it be to just glance at your watch and see the speed limit I bet that feature would catch fire I really enjoy the clean interface I would love the option to clean it up even more by having the option to turn off everything on the screen except the speed limit and speedometer              My favorite new app

Use it all the time on background It alerts me when Im going too fast over the limit Thats whats also sweet it knows the speed limit youre going through If I could pick a recommendation it would be custom alert settings other than a voice saying the speed number Other than that superb app and worth every cent                 Excellent

It was highly rated so I paid and downloaded it Im on a 14 hr road trip and could really use it for the speed limit when I cant find a sign But Im driving down I30 a little less than 100 mi from Dallas and Im getting 25 then 75 then 55 then 75 when the limit is always 75 Whats up wthat     I dunno about this

My speedometer stopped working in my car and I downloaded this Its extremely accurate I love that it knows the posted speed limit 95 of the time Super helpful when in an unfamiliar area My ONE suggestionhope is that the next update comes with the temperature in one of the corners I always catch myself looking for it especially on road trips and it would be awesome if that was added to the home screen                 Love it

Ive always looked for an app that shows what the speed limit is in the area Im driving through This app goes beyond my expectations by showing my current speed incredibly accurately and providing a subtle alert when speeding Definitely recommending it to friends and family Only wish is to have a volume slider for the alert sometimes its a bit loud other times its too soft especially if playing music Boost the volume please Thanks for such a great app                 Awesome app must have for every drive

Great interface and design I wish it were accurate but from Houston to Dallas the speed limit reporting is simply all over the map an unreliable Dips even to 45 on a section that is 75 I wonder if changes in altitude are throwing it off Wrote to the developer Never heard back        Great idea but incorrect data

Ive bought a few speedo apps This one is by far the most attractive and responsive Would like to see an option in landscape mode with speed limit only Maybe some cool color schemes                 Cool

I love this app the fact that it also gives altitude is a huge benefit The speed limits are all correct for the Dallas area Ill admit I turned off the guess limit feature because the guesses are often wrong for roads it doesnt know but not a big deal at all                 Perfect app

Best looking of the speedometer apps out there imo I was looking for an app to use on my moped and this one is one of the top 3 I would love to see an options for audible alerts at set speeds average speed and distance traveled              Slickest UI

Its a great app for alert the speed limits in live but it has a problem with the alert sound After the alert sound the music volume went low but sometimes it turned very loud For this inconvenient problem I give it three star           Fix the volume problem please

It audibly lets you know when youre going too fast you can set the limit over from 1 5 10 up to 25 mph Different settings for road hwy the limit changes exactly when we are next to the new speed limit sign Just what we needed for only 099                 Great in unfamiliar territory
