Catch The T displays real time position data for the MBTA`s Orange, Red & Blue lines. Other train systems and the Green line are not supported. See below for more information. Don`t blindly wait for the ...
Havent tried it on the orange or blue but its totally inaccurate on the red        Doesnt work on the red line
This doesnt work very well for the Orange line Many times it has told me that a train was just seconds away and I wound up waiting several minutesOr that there were two trains just seconds apartOr it pulls up no trains at allOr it tells me the next train is eight minutes away and two minutes later one pulls into the station Basically its never been right Maybe this works better for the Red and Blue lines and maybe the problem is due to a fault with the system that this fetches info from But if you need a reliable accurate app for the Orange Line spend your money elsewhere     Not reliable at least for the Orange Line
This app has been on the money every night I ride the orange line and the app helps me catch trains with precision Thank you                 Orange line works great
Ive tried several apps and this one seems to be the closest to realtime User interface is easy and attractive Dont be cranky about no green line datathe MBTA does not have tracking for this Remember this is a thirdparty app so dont blame them for lack of T data or a train thats a minute off schedulethey use the data provided by the MBTA and format it a really easytouse way                 So much better than the other options
I catch the T at Quincy Center and this app has been a godsend the week Ive had it Its very convenient to check when the train is arriving and then run out a few minutes before it arrives vs waiting in the cold Though I mostly ride the red line I took the orange line last weekend and the times displayed seemed pretty accurate                 Bug fixed for Braintree trains
Ive yet to have this app correct for the orange line If it shows trains the time is off significantly and sometimes it doesnt even display trains like right now at least on iPhone 5 Glad orange line now has digital boards which are usually quite reliable     Terrible for Orange Line
Ok as a student who constantly takes the train this app is useful when you are waiting for the train in one of the middle stops However if you are at the end of the stop like alewife or oak grove or even the second to last stop like Davis this app will not give you any inbound times Gets annoying           Good but
Ive been running all over Boston all day and this app has accurately told me when the orang and red lines would be here EVERY TIME Fantastic work A musthave for anyone who relies on the MBTA subway system                 Fantastic way to get there on time
Not reliable doesnt give time estimates on trains very far in advance and doesnt have info on the green line It explains that it cant because of the way the green line operates but they should let you know before you buy the app     Hate it
Its inaccurate I stopped using it about 3 days after I got it     Doesnt work well on red line
It is one of the best app I used for MBTA real time trains People who are complaining cant use app It will refresh after every 60 seconds or you can do it manually to get most recent update                 Best app
Great App All I can ask for and only 99 I know other MBTA apps allow to save fav stops i went with this app over others because i love catch the bus Once this app has that function it will be a five Its already super simple and helpful as is              This will be a five one day
Do I have to pay 99c again The app on my iphone is not working It opens up but no information is listed           Why is the app not working on my iphone
Really does tell you where the train is U feel a little nerdy checking your phone for the whereabouts of the train but what else are you gonna do on the platform              It works
Its the most accurate app Ive tried for the mbta I can see the T from my window so I tested it and it worked every time orange line so Im very happy with it Its true that it needs improvements but guys this is the first version what do u expect its pretty good for a v10 It needs to do the math at the end of lines when a train goes in and turns to the new direction However they do explain in their app in the FAQ section why this is and its the MBTAs fault so technically we shouldnt blame them for thisbut still they could predict how long trains usually stand at the end of the line before moving It also needs to improve their display coz they show the train at a station when the announcement of the T approaching hasnt even happenedalthough it usually does after a few secondsbut they should show the train exiting the prior station not in the next station when its not even there They should reduce the refreshing time or at least add an option for the user to choose This way they could actually show the train moving kinda like in those screens that the MBTA has put in stations like ruggles where you can see the train moving every 10 secs They should also fuse their bus app I mean how inconvenient is to have two apps for that I thinks they should also incorporate the Green line although its just the schedule at least is something Ive come to the conclusion that at least 70 of the time the green line goes according to schedule so even if its not real time data itd be useful to have the green line schedule in the app and not have to use another app for that like openmbta It would also be useful if they added the rotation feature to see it in landscape mode Other than that I think its worth the money given that theres not a better app than this for the mbta              very accurate
This app worked well when it was released three years ago However its fallen into disrepair a bit Alerts now show the NYC system instead of Boston Emails and tweets to Catch the T go unanswered        No updates
This has come in handy its a nice app However I live at Green near the end of one end of the Orange line and it cant seem to pick up train times So that right there devalues the app for me for like 50 of the time at least can understand that happening for the very last stop but again Im at green Wonder if this is fixable              Very nice but
I like the idea of the app however I find it to be not very useful for me in many situations due to some problems I ride the Red Line Mornings I board at a stop that is a few stops from the end of the line Porter Square The app wants me to coneptualize the redline as having two distinct parts southbound inbound in my case or towards Alewife outbound The reality of course is that the line is a loop The specific problem is that in many situations the app doesnt show me any inbound trains nor give me any estimate of the estimate of the next inbound train to Porter Of course thats the main thing I want to get out of the app When I dont see any inbound trains headed for Porter i have to switch to view outbound to see if I can find one and then estimate the time before it will turn around and head back to Porter Seems like the app should be able to figure this out obviously trains reaching Alewife have nothing else to do but turn around and return to Braintree or Ashmont duh This is never a problem for me on my return trip because I board near the middle of the line so theres always at least a few trains somewhere on the line headed towards my station A second problem is that even when not facing the above problem I find that the estimates it gives for arrival times of trains dont seem very accurate Possibly some trains dont get tracked properly I dont know if I can blame the app developers for these issues The data coming from MBTA may have problems Still I think a more clever app could overcome at least the first problem        good idea but has problems
I was sitting in my favorite restaurant that overlooks the Blue line tracks in E Boston The app did not get one passing train correct in either direction     Doesnt work
This app doesnt update and when you manually update it doesnt refresh Just missed the orange line because no trains were showing on the app and when I refreshed for the last time the app said the train was arriving which means its departing Slow app not worth the 99     Train schedule horrible
Real time update very useful app How many times did you just miss the T Not anymore With this app you get real time update on when the T will be in your stop                 Works great
Definitely worth it                 Works like a charm for the Red Line
For a buck you cant ask for too much The data is surprisingly less accurate than it is for the bus system MBTA is probably to blame rather than the devs for this app The app itself is not doing a good job visualizing info that matters to the traveler For example it only shows timing for the next train You have to start doing math if you want to figure out when the following train arrives no work on transfers Like I said for a buck I dont feel too bad about my purchase but there are much better free apps for other cities        All right I guess
You are in the T parking lot Its 20 degrees out Dont you wish when the next train was due You do now              Its warm inside
Its not even close Dont even get me started on the phantom trains that apparently come and go on the app without anyone seeing them     Dont waste your money
Too bad that green line is not supported        Does not work with green line
This app was great when it launched and the T didnt have a countdown at any of the stations However it hasnt been updated since 2010 the alerts no longer load and it doesnt seem to be showing train locations properly in iOS 7 Id still find it useful for timing my walk to the station if the developer brought it up to date     No update in 3 years
I like the intefacerepresentation of information The downside and its a big one is that it only gives information when trains depart the end points I get on at the second to last stop on the Orange Line This means theres almost never any information on trains leaving my station going toward Downtown Crossing Theres only inbound information for my stop if the train has left the end of the line Theres plenty of information for my stop going toward the end of the line unfortunately thats useless information THe realtime information should be augmented with scheduled departure info for trains that havent left yet This information is available from the MBTAs website           Ends of The Lines
I was expecting similar features to catch the bus but this app is really the bear minimum and will continue to be so until we start seeing some more competition Is it too much to ask to save my favorite stations How about an integrated map not cut and paste from the MBTA site Being quick to market is nice but if you want to maintain revenue from this app it needs to be useful           A bit disappointing
The first few times I used this app it worked great but now it isnt accurate at all     Incorrect times
Great app extremely accurate                 Awesome
I would give this app 5 stars except it recently stopped showing any trains I guess it needs to be updated As the previous reviewer mentioned the MBTA probably stopped supporting its old feed I would be sad to lose this valuable tool Thank you     Please update
Data quality is poor        Not correct
Not accurate     Its very Poor Not as described
Still no iPhone 5 display support and the realtime information is much less reliable than the MBTAs info at the stations        Old
Id echo what one of the other reviewers said about the issues with getting times at the end of the line particularly the Orange Line at the Forest Hills end and Green Street headed to Oak Grove Often it says that there are no trains expected and when one finally does appear on the display it says it left a minute before One can guessestimate from those times but thats why I bought the app The interface is good however so I hope the accuracy issue will be resolved at some point        Better than most but needs work
I love this app and I dont even think about taking the subway which I do 5 days a week without checking this app Im usually even checking it while Im waiting and while Im on the subway so I know if Im going to catch my connecting train or if I should opt for the bus instead I love the visual display especially the icons for trains that let you see any bunching in a snap Handsdown this is the best MBTA subway tracking app However I happen to know that the MBTA released their 20 data feed in 2012 and officially the 10 data feed is deprecated meaning it will be dropped at possibly any time I STRONGLY suggest that the developer Jared put out an update to use the 20 data feed soon or else were all going to be left high and dry when not if the MBTA drops the 10 data feed The only reason Im giving this 4 stars and not 5 is because it hasnt been updated since 2010 and its been two years since the MBTA 20 data feed came out Im just worried my favorite transit app will stop working Jared please do an update              My favorite but needs an update I think
Agree with those that said it doesnt work on the red line The amount of time until the next train never changes For example Quincy Center says the next trains come in 2 12 19 27 and 34 minutes Braintree train and whenever I hit refresh it never changes only the approx time changes I was at Quincy Center today using the app and it still said 2 minutes until the next train     Doesn
This app is pretty good I ride the orange line daily and it is pretty accurate The mapping that shows where the trains are is nice and the estimates are on or a minute off at most I havent tried it on any other lines but I am guessing its just as good THIS SHOULD BE FREE THO WHAT THE EFF I pay 15 a week for a 7day pass why is there a charge              good but
It doesnt provide any info on alewife bound trains between Braintree and Quincy center The info it provides for other stops is a few minutes off which renders the app pretty useless if youre using it to try to catch a train Wish I had waited to buy it until all the problems were sorted out     Disappointing
You need to buy a different app for bus info        Subway only
Well I used to think this was a good app but I was trying to catch a Forest Hills train around 1230 and it said the last train was there 2 mins ago We waited looking for a cab but couldnt find one We walked into the t 5 mins later but the train had just left 65 mins after the app said it left Then we continued to wait for 10 minutes over the time the app said Waste of moneybetter off playing Russian Roulette     Still Waiting
Works well needs update for new screen sizes              Works well outdated interface
Its a great app for a Boston subway user Ever scince I got this app I never got lost on the T ever again                 Great app
I find myself constantly using this app to see the wait for a train especially when they are overcrowded So far the trains arrive when the app says they should What more could you ask for                 Simple and useful
I live in Davis Square and there is NEVER any inbound train information Even if the train is at Davis it doesnt show up Please fix this        Half of my money back please
Nice simple app that shows you where red orange and blue line trains are Well worth 099                 Well designed app
They need to get the data feed issue resolved Its been a week now and for someone using this app daily its becoming frustrating Everything with the app is great just need to get the feed issue which is an mbta issue resolved Please update ASAP              App is great but
I motherflippin love this app you look like a tool running from a train to catch the next one but with this app you will actually catch it so who cares what you look like                 Amazing
This is one of the better apps for keeping an eye on MBTA train arrival times The bad part the app has pretty much been abandoned by the developer There havent been updates of rears and the new Assembly station isnt on line Eventually the app will just stop working              Great app but
