I have not had that problem with other alarm clock apps.
This is by far the most amusing alarm clock I have ever used.
You'll love both apps for CARROT.

Now it is partially my fault as I didnt pay close enough attention to the instructions and left my phone on silent but when I pay 299 for an alarm at the very least I expect it to go off even in silent mode As I already spent my money Ill try a few more nights to see if it will wake me up when the volume is on but I would not recommend this app to anyone until this problem is fixed It didnt wake me up

This is one of the best alarm apps I have ever used if your like me and are usually one that hits snooze after the first alarm this will help wake you up with small tasks to wake your brain up Best
I liked this alarm when it works but twice now I havent been woken up on time because a software update or other alert has pushed it to the background Good concept flawed design
I am a heavy sleeper and have on more then one occasion slept though my alarm or turned it off in my sleep This was the best purchase I have ever made Carrot is snarky funny and above all she gets me out of bed And every time I wake up on time instead of hitting the snooze button I get rewards I havent missed a wake up since Ive had this app Please if you struggle to get out of bed in the morning buy this app its defiantly for you Best alarm clock for heavy sleepers

I love this app in the morning but despise setting it at night In previous versions if your phone was on silent the voice wouldnt talk when youre setting the app at night Currently it is extremely loud and if my partner is in the bed and I forget to turn the volume all the way down Im in the instant doghouse If this was quieter while setting it would be 5 stars Works perfectly in the morning but setting is a hassle Please fix this or at least design a stealth setting to silently activate Please Please make a silent while setting option
I thought this alarm clock would be great for actually getting me awake enough to get out of bed I have a horrible habit of turning off my alarms while only semiconscious The tasks definitely wake me up but I cant stand the voice The robotic Siriesque voice on this alarm makes me reticent to even turn it on at night Instead Ive been turning my phone on silent turning on the iPhone alarm and Carrot and then doing the tasks when my iPhone alarm goes off I would love a different voice option for this app as well as a dialogue that is significantly less demeaning The two just dont mix I recommend this alarm for the tasks but thats it If youre looking for something to get you up without wanting to chuck your phone across the room look for something else Good idea poor execution

Ok I really wanted to give this app five stars bc it is an amazing concept but two issues make it not worth the money First you must keep the screen illuminated all night and cannot turn the phone on do not disturb mode or on silent Secondly the voice needs to be more malevolent She is an evil mistress after all Needs improvement

Before this app all I did was snooze for about 40 minutes every morning Now Im up The simple chores force your brain to react and then once its off theres no snooze Thanks to Carrot for ensuring my alarms go off even in DnD mode Now just add some unlockables above level 100level 127 now and still going Love this app Actually wakes me up

I got this app after hearing and reading great things about it Downloaded it tested it and made sure that I had it in the foreground when I locked my phone Lo and behold I wasnt awoken to the sounds of this alarm but to the panic if me being late for work The alarm hadnt even gone off at all When I got to work I was fired for being late Its a nice app but it caused me to lose my job Literally got fired

First and foremost I love CARROT She is hilarious and makes my mornings a little less sucky However I was having trouble with getting the app to sound the alarm Sometimes the app was left in the background Another time it didnt go off because there was an alert to update iOS This new update fixed that Thank you CARROT developers for fixing that Im excited that I no longer need to use the stock iPhone alarm to wake me up a minute before to make sure the CARROT app is ready to really wake me up Much better

I love this app I have a hard time getting up with a regular alarm but with Carrot it engages me early and keeps me up However the flashlight feature irks me because it will turn on when you shake it but It wont turn off unless you close out of the app Please fix it thank you Great except for the Flashlight feature
