What a time saver Very easy to use works great Great
App pays for itself from the first use Its great for onsite estimation of stock needed for new jobs and takes care of all the layout work afterwards Well done on including the grain direction visually in the cut list Interface is so easy and intuitive Carpenter Pro is for Amateurs too
I have been looking for an app with this functionality for some time and bought this one the minute I came across it The interface is simple and elegant and it works perfectly The ability to enter fractions instead of decimals would be a nice feature addition but not a big deal given how well this app does its job Excellent and worth every penny
Pay attention to the dont buy warnings This app does not layout a cut list any better than a 7 year old I rate this 0 stars Trash
I got really exited at first but this app freezes doesnt allow printing no customer support just not a finished product Super bummed I spent money on this The most frustrating app
Well thought out with provisions for specifying grain direction stock dimensions and part names Part names appear in the cutout list but not in the diagram Part dimensions are not completely displayed during entry in iPhone and not at all in iPad so you need to confirm accuracy in the list Print feature AirPrintePrint didnt work but email of both the part list and cutting diagram worked beautifully For unknown reasons possibly my fault 10 of 13 pieces vanished from my first project list I was using an iPhone at the time This problem didnt occur when replicating the project in my iPad Overall I think this is a good app which will quickly pay for itself in scrap avoidance Its primary value is in the algorithm which appears to work well and offers a unique and powerful capability in the app marketplace Once the UI is perfected and any stability issues fixed it will merit 5 stars A future upgrade to support dimensions in fractions would be welcome A few quirks but works well
I use this to optimize my cut lists Good job on minimizing waste Works well
I tried several optimization apps offered in the app store some even much more expensive than this one but this app the only one that did what it said it will do without bugs or crashes It also packs plenty of features in it I love the grain display on the cutlist diagram and more importantly how easy the developer has made it to lock the part rotation by choosing the grain right on the part Overall simplicity and the ability to run it on the iPad are the greatest pluses for this app It would be nice to be able to enter fractional dimensions but it isnt such a big deal if you can quickly convert them to decimals I also would like to see ability to import part data from an excel sheet although Im no sure how if it can be done on iPads By far The Best Cutlist App in the App Store
Se frisa mucho Lo cancele pero no regresan el credito simplemente se roban Tiene muchos problems
This could be an extremely useful app if it were better designed However First it does not allow you to number the parts or identify them as A B C etc The only reason you would use this type of app is if you have a lot of pieces to cut so why not use numbers Instead they differentiate the pieces by color Dumb Second it does not allow you to edit a project once saved so if you just spent a half hour entering your info and made one error youve got to start over again Third carpenters take measurements using fractions but with this app you need to enter measurements as decimals and then convert it back when you got to cut That means getting the calculator out to cut 1316th or whatever Numerous other complaints but you get the idea I am shocked at how bad this thing works especially considering what it cost Dont Buy Dont buy
This app is about 80 done Ive laid out 12 projects And every one has been wrong It should always group like sizes and grain as to make cuts as easy as possible And it almost gets it right BUT there is alway one or two pieces just put in the wrong place Not the end of the world But its called PRO and cost a lots or something broken Please DONT BUY until he fixes it It really is not worth the price Not quite ready
Nifty but really not that great Dont waste your money on this Not even close to worth 1499
Relatively easy to use I emailed the developer about a bug and he got right back to me Good customer service This is so incredibly easy compared to just figuring it out yourself Would be nice if fractions could be entered but not a big deal to convert to decimal first Look forward to future versions Just what I was looking for
Needs work Fractions Wait until envisioned purchase Needs work
It doesnt seem like this app has been kept uptodate While the product description says you can email andor print a pdf you actually cant I wish this had an OS X counterpart The app frequently freezes and locks up the system Hasnt been updated in 3 years The author seems to have given up on supporting this app SoSo cannot email or print
A little pricy for what it is but worth it Takes all the guesswork out of sheet planning Easy to print and take to the shop Great planner
Good program over all BUT For the price of this app You should not have to enter in rounded off inches you cant enter a fraction of an inch No help menu or users manual Needs improvement Carpenter Pro Optimal cultist diagrams and stock sheets cal cilantro with grain direction and kerf
Ive used this app for a few projects now and I must say that it has saved me a lot of time Ok it may lack the layout expertise of a master cabinetmaker but for the types of projects that your average beginner to intermediate like me does it can save a lot of time and money The the price is much less than the cost of a wasted sheet of material For the future Id like to see the capability to input other shapes such as trapezoids or parallelograms in order to possibly minimize waste from laying out these shapes as rectangles Time saver
Não funciona e não tem suporte técnico Absurdo a Apple manter este item à venda Não funciona Não compre
This app is very basic but for a beginning woodworker like me it was so helpful it does what it says and having it on my iPad while I was cutting I can just glance over and cut the next piece Great work Great
This could be just what a woodworker needs to quickly generate a cutlist for plywood or other sheet goods There are 2 major flaws though There are no fractions supported Why include the kerf info if you dont concider fractions of an inch in the calculation or in the printout Second projects should include the possibilty of different thicknesses of material Instead you must set up a new project for each component that is a different thickness I dont mind paying this much even though I think its over priced if it would fuction properly Hope it gets improved Good idea flawed execution
This app needs the ability to drag and drop the parts on the sheet to be cut Parts with same dimensions are placed sporadically on diagram making it difficult or sometimes unsafe to cut The table saw fence has to be moved way to much Needs drag and drop
It works better for that price Works
This is an app I wish was available for the PC Inputting numbers isnt hard just a pain on my iPhone It worked great in calculating and displaying the sheet layouts but Im not an Apple user so I cant print with my iPhone Sending as an email only sent the cultist numbers not the sheet layouts Standing in my shop trying to work by looking at an iPhone doesnt cut it I might have something wrong but cant get the layouts after trying everything I can see to do Works printing didnt for me
Ive tried to use and like this app but it always lays cuts out with a stopped cut in the middle of a sheet of plywood when it doesnt have to I just tried it one more time It calculated 3 sheets with one part coming from the third sheet I laid it out and got it all from 2 sheets In cherry plywood thats an expensive error I wish it worked well but Im deleting it right now Save your money
Hi I have a small one man cabinet shop My iPad is my only computer that I use I was delighted when I found this app I had been annoyed that they didnt have apps like this for woodworkers It looks like you stepped up to the plate Just yesterday someone asked me to build some bookcases I pulled up Carpenter Pro and bingo I knew how many sheets of ply to figure into my quote This is extremely helpful because I have the pricing data and estimate spreadsheets on my iPad I was so happy to be able to stand there literally and come up with a solid price for my client in less than time than it takes to tell When I can use a 15 app for wood calculations and a 10 app to figure up my quotes on a computer that I can hold in my hand my world is immeasurably better Not to mention low low low overhead This is one more step in simplifying my life Thank you from the bottom of my heart Cabinetmaker
Works Great it tell you how many sheets you need and you dont have y To buy more or less I realy recomend this app Works Great
The wood grain allowment feature is awesome Very well thought out application needs no user manual Tailored directly to woodworkers This application will save you a large amount of money from bad cuts or just wasting time trying to figure it out manually Already paid the apps price saving me a few stock sheets on my first project MUST have app for any carpenter
Good idea Not so good start Must support fractions and multiple stock dimensions to really be useful to a serious woodworker For the price it should do both these things and more Really useless in current form Chardin
Good tool Cabinet maker
