I like this app a lot I ve used it to save voicemails that were important to me as well as to quickly capture song ideas before I forget them which I go back and listen to later That feature alone makes it extremely useful If you re recording lectures or other dictation you can add bookmarks to important points to help return to those spots quickly That s pretty neat And you have the option to record in high quality or a lower quality which uses less storage space You can also neatly organize your content by creating folders It uses date and time as a default file name but you can rename the file to something more meaningful I like that you can also attach a text description transcription or notes to the recording although I noticed that sometimes it did not save my text notes and I had to retype them a minor glitch It will also sync with iTunes storage or DropBox and you can back up and restore all of your content Overall a pretty good app for storing dictation and other sound files that you create One warning On the day I purchased it the app was listed in the Apple App Store for 2 50 but when the email invoice arrived from Apple about 4 days later I was billed for 2 99 tax There was no explanation for the difference in price                 Good memo app sklaszky

I m having the same issue as a previous reviewer of not being able to export the videos from my device to drop box as it supposed to be Basically I can t progress past the stage where I press the create audio files button Then when it goes to the screen with the drop box link button pressing that leads me to a dead end Please fix this because as of right now having the files on my device is of no use to me I really need to be able to send them to people             Great for recording Dropbox bug DugB123

I m just getting into the app and have not discovered any issues Actually it s kinda fun I just need some practice But I wish for a feature and I think this app might be able to do it I need Folders Not some secret folder I need 5 folders I inspect property conditions which means that I m reporting on a verity of systems It would be nice if the app had folders like an Olympus digital recorder Then when I m writing my reports I could go back to a specific folder for recall without jumping around from flag to flag I m not aware of any recording app that has this feature I m sure other inspectors could use a folder feature in their recording apps Just a thought thank you                 Wish list Dallas Home Inspector

I had already owned CaptureNotes which I liked but didn t use much due to the fact that I own about 50 note taking apps and things sometimes get lost I downloaded CaptureAudio awhile ago but hadn t even opened it until now I download anywhere from 20 50 apps a day so this occurs frequently and isn t a statement about the app Tonight I spent an hour or so just playing with this delightful and genuinely useful app I love the multiple ways to tag bookmark make folders and write notes which altogether makes organization a breeze I don t think I ll need to do any organizing since you can do all of it as you re using the app to record a verbal or written note reminder whatevs I was worried the app would be complicated but I still haven t listened to the developer s recording or looked at the tutorial and I already feel confident enough to record something brief and non essential I still want to listen to look at those things because I m sure an app as sophisticated and polished as CaptureAudio definitely has a few surprises in its MBs or at least more effective ways of doing things I just learned on my own I LOVE the unlimited tags that can be one word or a whole sentence I wish that carried over to the flags so you could add as many customized flags as you want to one set However there may be some constraint due to how flags are displayed while in use Other than that this is an ber perfect app I ve already moved it to a folder in my iPhone 5 dock so I can grab it easily and quickly when a brilliant and completely original idea strikes me while driving to work I walk by a particularly genius street musician who just must be heard again and shared with friends I wake up in the middle of the night and decide to list grocery items I need instead of counting sheep I go with a friend to a poetry slam and don t know until the organizer tells me I m next that my friend signed me up to perform Luckily I can speed write in my head and listen to or look at notes from unfinished poems in CaptureAudio I could go on but I ll give you a break for now Check out more iOS reviews and how to s by me at iosaffairs com                     WOW Really Impressed With Entire App Cassie36

Like this app I miss the repeat option for the records and the playlist If i want to play them again i need to play them one after other I also miss the mark option for the same place as I standing not 5 seconds earlier                 Best recorder George Shinko

I have tried several of these record tag keep notes apps Two major flaws 1 You can only make annotations during initial recording NOT playback Why bother with this app then Other apps allow annotations whenever you listen which is when you logically know what is and isn t most important 2 Can t import audio     Much better alternatives franzen

Have been using this on my iPhone for some time and I love it So glad to see that it is now compatible with my iPad One of the absolute best recorders Lots of options for tagging etc Clarity of recording is outstanding I love to use this for random notes to myself for things I want to remember and even to help clarifying my thoughts as I plan out my day                     Fabulous Kd3js

I don t like the tagging system and I really enjoyed having a folder system to organize my recordings This app is basically now useless unless folders are brought back     Update ruined it for me Toiletpaper

Really like the app Ability to put up flags is great Excellent voice quality However a big negative for me is that it doesn t allow trimming the recordings in instances where you d want to trim the beginning and the end of the recordings Another negative is the binder notebook and renaming system is kinda confusing and not as intuitive I would also like to request save as mp3 feature                 Good recorder but need to have ability to trim recordings teambevan

This is a really well made app The controls are easy to use and it looks very polished A lot of thought went into this app What would make it a killer voice app is if it had voice activation available It would record when sound hit a certain threshold and it would pause when there was no sound available An app that does this wonderfully is called YaRec which I have used for the past couple years I hope the voice activated feature would be added to this app in the near future It really would make this app the standard above all others                     Well Made And Polished App Dwayne524

I ve only had this app for a few days but so far it s really useful I love being able to tap a button to mark a point in the conversation that I want to review or remember later That s the feature that really makes this app shine No more searching for that one critical point in a ten minute conversation just flag it                     Just got it but great so far MSC531

This may be the first time I ve bought an app with very few reviews but I m glad I did Have tried several good recording apps but this is the first one I can use to reference information from a three hour meeting right on the phone instead of transferring to the computer first A few of my favorite features are ability to speed up the play back by 1 5x and 2x speeds pause on record and playback which not all have ten second jump forward or backward and of course the flag markers It s great that when you go back to where a flag is that you are taken several seconds prior to the marked point                     Glad I sprung for this one Draftermike

This is a pretty cool app In my profession I listen to a lot of people talk Many times it is necassary to record our sessions so I can go back an pick up on something that I ve missed There are also times when taking notes with a pen and paper during a meeting is just not possible for example when I m meeting with a family whose loved one just died and they are sharing stories as we prepare for the funeral That s when this little app shines I m able to record our time together and very unobtrusively hit one of the marker buttons when something is shared that I need to refer back to later For those of you who need to record your meetings and would like to refer back to the highpoints quickly this is a must                     Perfect note taking companion Pastor Monty
