I really want to like this program It works greatwhen it workswhich it almost NEVER does Every once in a great while I can get the server to connect I paid the 14whatever for the camera controls and have only been able to use once Come on Phase One youre better than this I would also love to have live view on the iPad Just saying        Totally blows

Great app Works alongside Capture One Pro exactly as it should Inapp purchase also allows you to use direct camera control However basic functionality remotely viewingrating images from tethered shoot works regardless                 Great app

I paid 25k for my Phase One back hundreds more for Capture One Pro And you still stick me with pop up ads to buy camera control ad ons Pop ups that cant be dismissed Horrible and tacky Get rid of the pop ups     Pop up ads

The app seems stable now and even has more cool features added but after the update it will no longer automatically advance to the next frame shot If this can be corrected Ill be happy to say its earned the five star rating              Most bugs fixed but

Nice idea and I know it can should work DSLREMOTE but somethings not right here Images dont always scroll cant zoom in on images either and the inevitable disconnect from the server and then completely from my airport network UPDATE Set phones autolock to NEVER and programs seems much more stable and able to do as advertised GREAT              Buggy FIXED

Using it with capture one and my leaf digital back Works perfectly One question How does it render on the new iPad with retina screen Is it correct or does it look jaggy                 Love it

Exactly what I need but am disappointed to know this app will only work with the 400 software on the PC or Mac I wish the remote viewer could be free or a much smaller fee since that is all I really need therefore I have no use for this app since I will not be purchasing the computer software to make this app work     400 software needed

Great idea cant wait till it actually works Been trying to use it on my ipad all day and it perpetually disconnects from the server Looks promising when it is connected but currently unusable to monitor a live shoot Keep trying        Needs work

You might surprise or amaze a few crew or clients when you are using your iPhone or iPad to take pictures from the 60k camera perched high on a stand above the set Unfortunately that amazement will turn to boredom because the flaky pilot app works about 30 of the time My advise is to use this infrequently when you want to surprise or distract in the studio but dont rely on it or expect consistent results Anyone who uses the term reliable to describe phase one hardware or software has surely never used the products for any substantial amount of time I have never been on a set where a phase one back was used in conjunction with capture one and a crash did not occur The fact that this app costs anything is funny     Mostly a waste of time

I was just on a shoot yesterday and was introduced to this sexy idea This app coupled with an iPad is invaluable for art directors digi techs and photographers Great solution to an often talked about annoyance with shooting digital crowding around the monitor I look forward to future updates              Yes

We find this is a great tool for keeping the art director away from the computer during a tethered shoot                 Great tool during shoots

Tried this today It was super easy to connect however you do have to refresh the connection a couple of times on your iDevice before it finds the server I was on an iPad2 and images came in almost as quickly as it the digital back finished writing the file on the on the laptop Loved how quickly images rendered and it was fun being able to see an images sharpness using pinch to zoom Was actually lucky enough to have the phaseone rep demo their latest wares at a shoot Seems to work best on a dedicated wifi connection with no other traffic other than capture pilot itself and supposedly the app slows down with more than 2 devices connected I cant attest to this since I connected only one device So the rep created an ad hock network running off the MBP It was smooth as silk Like how others complained of being routinely cut off I too experienced this before trying the ad hock setting The rep further recommended specifically getting a dedicated Airport Extreme base stationmo connection to the internet or computer sharing I know this sounds like a major expense and a bit unfortunate for a really cool free app but the digital backs that the apps were intended for are even more crazy expensive and getting it to work flawlesslyor as intended by purchasing a few extras is well worth it As mentioned before the picture on the iPad is just amazing Viewing an 80 mega pixel image in all its glory via pinch to zoom was just one of those jaw dropping moments                 Works great but

The new version changed the camera controls and removed the drop down selections for the camera setting Now you must rotate the fake dials to make changes Much slower and harder to use plus its easy to bump another setting by mistake Change is not always for the better Anyone know how I can revert to the previous version     Last version was better

Awesome software works great when a stable link is set between the IpadiPhone and the computer It blow my clients minds away It improves my work a lot                 Awesome

Do not download unless you are buying I downloaded the app then downloaded the server which required a 20 minute dot net install and then found out the server is only a trial So I installed it anyways finally my iPad connected and pressed the capture button and was told I had to pay 1499 to use this feature I am a photographer and would never buy this unless I could test it so good job on losing this potential customer and every person I tell this to     Total lie

Great if u r shooting product and u have a client in another room viewing images It is very quirky and needs relaunching often Cant shoot fashion or anything that requires a higher burst rate           Limited

This has made location shooting and studio shooting soo much easier My photo tech is on the the capture computer I have an iPad right next to me so I can review images in full quality without walking over to the capture Mac The best thing is the ability to use multiple iPads and iPhones You can hand the client another iPad so they can walk around not crowd the computer and feel empowered to browse any images on their own without disrupting the flow of the shoot Hands down Phase One makes the best tethering capture solution If you havent tried Capture One Pro download the trial and see why                 Game Changer

This is a great companion for C1 Pro I run it on an iPad to allow the clients to comfortably have a livefeed from a couch allowing my Digital Tech to be free from people looking over his shoulder We popped for the 15 upgrade for camera control thinking to use an iPod Touch as a remote release however I find it extremely laggy The previous image being imported to the iPT appears to be sloooowwww resulting in the return signal for the shutter release to lag behind as well I wish you allowed for a Camera Control Only mode to prevent it from importingsyncing the capture folder contents If I could have a fullscreen camera control app for my iPodiPhone that would be amazing I dont need to see my shots in the background of the camera control              Great AddOn to C1 Pro however

As a digital tech I work with C1 almost daily This app is what Ive been waiting for Its a great first step towards wireless on set editing I really hope future versions will allow for applying star ratings or color tags from an ipadphone so the art director or client can tag selects while the photographer is shooting              Great first step

Used it successfully the first time this week on two different kinds of clients commercial and commissioned portrait Both loved it and it made them feel better about the shoot I loved it because I didnt have to have a lot of people standing around the computer and I did not have to set up another monitor I had some bugs when I first tried to use it but I replaced my wifi with an Apple Airport Extreme and set it up correctly no problems I bought the iPad just for this program Worth it                 Client loved it

I downloaded it last night and bought the in app camera controls as well and it works greats                 Best App out with camera control

I downloaded the app and it worked great When I started a new session it wouldnt load and then lost the server all together Is there a way not have it shut down and loose connection Because really is an awesome application and works really well when it is working           Great when it works

This is the perfect thing for shooting on location The whole team can tether their phonesiPadscomputers to the camera and ratereview full size previews and offer me advice Its much better for me to look at a full res preview on an iPad than the back of the camera                 Great for on location
