California Atlas

Just bought this app and it wont open Crashes every time I try to open it I deleted it and reinstalled and it still crashes I really like the paper version of these maps and was excited to see this app Fix this issue and Ill bet its a great app     CRASHES

I love maps I own quite a few So naturally I got excited when I saw this California Atlas promising stunning cartography Huge disappointment The maps are very slow to load and resolution is plain bad Zoom in and what you get is a basic view with no detail at all let alone cartography detail There is simply no excuse for an app that has just recently been released to not having been created to take full advantage of iOS devices high resolution displays When it comes to maps its all about the visuals        Disappointed

Contains detailed maps of dirt road and primitive trails that can be downloaded before an off road trip and the GPS position overlay can keep you on track Me like                 Love it for exploring

Just took a quick look so far seems a lot there good detail maybe just a bit slow              Not bad

I am always looking for good apps for my RV trip planning and this was a good addition Since I have cellular service on my iPad the GPS will show my location The app allows you to easily switch views of 5 different layers topo through aerial This is just another great app that demonstrates why the iPad is a perfect tool for travelling                 Nice addition to my RV apps

Has access to USGS topo and landscape maps The topo maps unfortunately look like someone just scanned paper maps so they dont give the ability to zoom in to get more detail It is also annoying that when I switch between the map types the map center or zoom sometimes moves so I lose track of the area I was looking at The maps are also quite slow to load There appears to be an option to download the maps up front but with one map set being over 2GB I havent tried it yet Despite that it is nice to have access to the various map types in one app It lists some points of interest such as beaches and parks and has a compass and pin drop feature as well              Good

I travel all over and have been a Benchmark fan for years so I was really curious when I saw they had an app It was a bit slow to load some tiles and I mentioned this to them via twitter they responded that theyre working on just that I was actually surprised they responded cool and to keep an eye out for an update Good to know Other than that I really like it I especially like the pin feature helps me remember where cool secret spots are And its helpful I can download portions of the map The other day I was very popular on a hike nobody could get reception and we wanted to see how far it extended Cant beat that                 Love the pinguide feature

I have been using Benchmarks iPad software version for California Oregon for some time and had been quite pleased Recently however the Calif program lost the ability to show the current location symbol for a couple of days It returned but since then I have lost all pin waypoint symbols I know it saves the waypoints I find them in the saved section and the map within that section will show the individual pin as well On the broader scale however I have lost the pins on the main map section Yes location services is turned on I have version 11 No updates are available The Oregon program remains uncorrupted and I see my dropped pins there 915 update Still no app updates since v11 And for me still no dropped pins on my app Seems Benchmark just doesnt care     Lost the dropped pins

Crashes Wont stay on longer than 30 seconds after moving map Save your 99 cents     Crashes

Good one Map has great detail Wish there were more Benchmark Maps              Good One
