This has been updated and I really like the new Sorting part of the game The use of visual cues to help the child is very helpful I also like how the instructions can be repeated at any time The train theme is popular and this is good for reinforcing pattern and sorting skills in the real world I also appreciate how you can customize exactly which items you want to focus on shapes or letters or both etc You can even set what kind of pattern A B A B C etc Another plus is the ability to shut off the background music some of our kiddos get distracted by this thanks for that                 I especially love the sorting game specialappssk

I had downloaded this app a while back and then deleted it because my 4 year old got tired of it She liked the train part and found that entertainting but some of the other apps that have better graphics and animation tend to keep her more entertained and enthused about learning             Did find entertaining for a little while Kcole31

The patterning part is working great but every time I try to open the sorting part it shuts down the app I m frustrated that I paid money for this app when I could have downloaded a free patterning app UPDATE The reason the app was crashing was my fault not the app itself Great customer service support when I e mailed them I would definitely purchase the app again to use with my kindergarten class                     Great Bethany Douglass

The best app for teaching and learning patterns Most apps for patterns expect a child to learn the pattern after just one expression of the pattern This app s features do a great job of really teaching patterns 1 audio hints speak the pattern and 2 visual hints highlight each component of the pattern My only idea for improvement would be if there were an option for visual separating the pattern and having the speaker pause between each pattern for children just learning the concept of patterns Review of Sorting update Still a good app there are not many sorting apps However the size differential between shapes s b greater it is difficult to see the difference in sizes Also I would appreciate the option to turn off the sound                     Best app for patterns Runningflower

Just downloaded the update like the new sorting option but unfortunately it is not clear where to drag and drop to Also now the patterns get verbalized more than once which confuses a kid Hope some minor fixes can be made             Needs some extra work on that update Taken Chusanother

Great app love that it uses shapes numbers letters etc Also love that it does complex patterns such as abab abcabc abbabba and more Only suggestion is when going over the example pattern the animation is not done in the same pattern which is distracting and confusing For example star moon circle pattern the circle could shake then next time it rocks The animation should match the pattern                 Great but one suggestion NYCmaof2 girls

This is a true patterning app I have been looking for just such an app that isn t just a matching app in disguise and now I ve found it The settings let you chose from shapes numbers colors and letters It also give you options to choose the type of pattern how the child can make a selection by tap or drag and drop and sound choices This is a well designed app                     Just what I have been looking for Pposey

I think that this app is good but I would like to see more of the pattern repeat More lead time for learners especially when it is an extended app past ababab For example more train cars for extending It would be good to have that option Our child has a cognitive impairment and benefits from seeing it repeat often I was a teacher and a lot of kids do as well Also I think it would be good for children not to have so many choices for answers To encourage success just the pattern attributes being used could be presented An option maybe Also it would be great if they had a sorting choice before the pattern is developed Perhaps a toy store to go to get items to sort then pattern Not that i want to pay more but these could be inapp purchases for kids to accumulate objects Some free etc When an app has more than one attribute ie a pattern of many different dinosaurs with only two colors it is good to sort not get confused by the different types of dinosaurs Kids need to recognize the attribute being targeted in pattern when there is more than one attribute existing I wish I had the time to create a more sophisticated pattern app Patterns are the base of understanding number systems and there simply are not enough out there Also this app is one of the better ones designed I check often I like the option settings                 Good start jdavin

Nice free application for a preschooler There are several types of patterns and most kids age 6 or older will quickly figure it out The morphing of shapes is interesting I second the request for patterns made of letters and numbers                     Good for preschoolers Nick958
