This is the only service that carried the textbooks I needed Im used to saving upwards of 50 by renting ebooks and using this app I saved less than 20 which made me think that I might get a good reading experience for the price I paid I was wrong This is by far the worst reading app Ive ever had the displeasure of using it makes studying extremely difficult If you can find your book literally anywhere else dont use this service     I guess it works

This app is terribly disappointing I cant even open my textbook it keeps shutting down I am not impressed with BryteWave whatsoever Even when I access it in my browser it takes 510 seconds to turn a page it kicks me out of the book often I lose my spot etc It is really not user friendly at all Sometimes the little navigation panel at the bottom of the screen disappears and I have no clue how to make it come back I feel quite frustrated and hope to avoid BryteWave books in the future     Terrible

I bought an ebook cause it was 200 cheaper and I cant even log into this app to study Cmon now Like I now have to call them So disappointed that I now have to buy the textbook     Waste of money

This is the most cumbersome slow inaccurate touch control nonresponsive reader I have ever used If it were not for the fact that I had to download it since my school uses it as their reader I would not have this on my iPad For my next school session I will find any other source that does NOT use this reader Update update has seemed to help and now touching the text doest automatically highlight it in which you have to close out app to unselect however still painfully slow and sluggish still misinterprets touch Infrequent logs out for no reason when in offline mode When trying to zoom it changes the page often Poor zoom control zooms in or out too much Hitting the arrow to switch the page is often unresponsive Getting to and staying on the desired page can be a bit of a challenge when trying to zoom or scroll around a page Search feature is slow        Worst Reader App

Essentially thats what it is Its not like a kindle or ibooks app where text will resize if you zoom in or out and adjust the words on the page Its a PDF viewer which means that if you zoom in then the entire page will not fit on the screen and you end up constantly moving it around And good luck using their controls turning pages etc because my average is about a 33 success rate with any of them working where other apps on my iPad or iPhone work just fine Its slow and painful to use and makes me wish id just rented or purchased a used book     Bad PDF reader

Im sure the app would be great if it would open It loads the Bryte Wave first opening screen for a second then closes immediately How am I supposed to use this app for my digital history book I rented for 35 if the app wont open     Wont even open

Ill start at the beginning when logging in it doesnt remember you Sometimes while reading it will kick me out and have me log back in I cant highlight anything so now I have a ton of notes It took two days to download my books Sometimes when I open the app theres nothing in my library Once I open a book theres no words Its literally blank pages Please fix this I need these books for the next two years and right now I cant use the app I have to use the web to log in     Please fix

At first I thought it was too good to be true I get to save 150 and dont have to lug around a 5lb book Couldnt be more wrong Trying to follow along in class is very frustrating The program will suddenly shut down and go back to the home page When I try to reopen my book it gives me a blank screen Finally after many attempts to log back in and getting booted off my book is back and I have to scramble to catch up with the classThen it will happen again over and over again The bugs in this app are unreal The highlight feature and page turning is awful too Please do yourself a favor and buy the book itself You will spend more but save yourself a lot of time and frustration     You get what you pay for

I dont know why my school chose to offer eTexts through this app Previously we used Bookshelf and it worked fine on my PC and devices This app well for starters it does odd things at the login screen the remember me function doesnt remember me until Ive halfway logged in Next its been nearly 24 hours and my textbooks are STILL downloading I cannot recommend this app at all It simply doesnt work Very disappointed     Horrible so far

Do not buy books from this group You will never actually get to use them If you try to buy textbooks from these people you are just allowing them a legal means to steal from you Viewing books requires using their viewer app which only allows you to see one page at a time The others are not preloaded so it takes 35 second to turn the page The UI is generated server side so zooming scrolling or openingusing a bookmarks list takes 35 seconds per input Scrolling from top to bottom takes 2030 seconds per page There is no way to go between pages except flipping them one at a time The bookmarks system rarely works and there is no real navigation bar As long as this app uses their useless server you are essentially letting them steal your money when you try to buy books from them     Turn back now

This has to be the worst of textbook apps I have ever used I NEED to use this for my class otherwise I wouldnt undergo the grief I almost rather carry the heavy expensive TEXTBOOK on my back This app makes it that much more painful to study     Terrible poorly designed app

Id give this app negative stars if that were possible If you want to pass your class do not get your textbook on this app It freezes the highlighting rarely works at all it turns pages extremely slowly if at all the zooming is ridiculous and it never works offline And the rental prices for such crap are robbery If you can find it on nook or kindle go there Or just get the physical book     Ridiculously Bad App

Its a waste of time I shouldnt have purchased with Brytewave at all It logs you out even after turning pages blanks frequently when you try to sign in and when you finally do sign in just turning the pages takes forever until it logs you out again Stick with kindle or any other reading app that requires you to purchase books because when youre paying for your literature they should at lease have to decency to provide a working app Smh     Lousy App

I had high hopes for this app now that my college has adopted the IncludEd program The problem is that I cant load any of my books and they have a hard time downloading to begin with I have reinstalled this app 4 times this week alone t o try to fix the problem but nothing is working At first I thought it was the Internet connection and its not Once they work out these kinks Ill be more than happy to give this app a 5star review        Need a lot of work

I absolutely hate this app I get kicked out constantly and cannot read my books offline The only reason why I decided to rent instead of buy is because I live over seas and didnt want lug 15 lbs worth of books to Europe My advice to anyone is try to find your book via the Amazon Kindle app or simply buy the actual textbook The Brytewave app is horrible and using the reader online on the computer is just as bad     The worst

I know how much I saved renting this book online but I ended up renting the physical book anyways because this app is horrible Good luck figuring out the timing for page turning and zoom inout mode Want to Highlight No chance Downloaded the book so you could read off line Well you still have to log in and if Im in a weak wifi signal I cant log in to read the book I downloaded to read off line This is absolutely the worse reading app ever created I just hoping my future teachers dont use books that use this book app     Rent the physical book Dont use this app

I read the reviews and thought I would still try as this is what my school recommended This app is HORRIBLE I am uninstalling it at semester end and I cannot urge you strongly enough to NOT use this app Every review on here nails it this app is pure garbage I will be waiting to join the class action lawsuit because there is NO way one isnt coming     Use Kindle

This is just awful I wish I had the book The pages dont turn it doesnt scroll like a decent reader theres such a lag time on turning the pages that I hit it again thinking I didnt get it just right the first time only to have it turn multitalented pages all at once Then its the same game going back to where I was Awfuljust plain awful     Awful

I decided to ignore the terrible reviews and hope that I could view my 130 digital rental from my tablet but no of course not That would be too easy right Too convenient after spending 130 on something thats literally only available from a computer and even then it barely works Honestly I think the people who decided that getting a book online should still cost hundreds of dollars should be sent back to school and forced to pay out of pocket for books I would like to see how far they can get In summation this app is horrible and so are all the corporations that blatantly take advantage of struggling college students who have very literally no choice but to purchase these overpriced barely usable access codes Thanks for nothing eFollet and BryteWave I hope students soon find a way to get around your money grubbing ways     Yeah pretty awful app

I typically wouldnt worry about reviewing an essentially educational app like this but this app has given me so many problems that Im at my breaking point with it I originally had this app on my nexus 7 tablet for my engineering ethics textbook and I assumed itd be like any typical book reader with the ability to bookmarkhighlight and just have some inkling of userfriendliness With this app just trying to get from one page to the next is a hassle where many other books lets you swipe to change the page it wont work here but rather you have to touch the small red arrows on the sides of the screen If you ever need to zoom youre screwed because the zoom is so broken a tiny pinch or pull of your fingers will either send the page so far back you cant even see letters or so close all you could see is a few words up closeas far as I could tell highlighting doesnt work and everything feels very unresponsive The only thing that seemed to work okay was bookmarking which you have to go through a separate menu to get to anyway And as if to add insult to injury after a while the app stopped working on my nexus 7 I was lucky to have my iPad for a backup which if not for it being a requirement for another class Id never even have it but even then the same problems follow If youre like me and need this for a textbook only available to you in this form it will cause you more trouble than its worth If you have an option with this choose the other option other than this crappy app     Its actually amazing how little quality went into this app

I used this app over the summer for my classes It was ok but it was annoying because I was constantly logged out and the app wasnt even idle for more than 3 minutes Worst app for timed open book quizzestests because of that issue Now I gotta use it again cuz Im in nursing school ebooks are cheaper than hardback Now I cannot even log into my account Also when I use the menu for finding pages putting in key terms etc it blocks out some of the text I cannot scroll to see whatever the menu covered I have to keep clicking the arrow to put it away then click the arrow again to bring it back and type Why cant it be made so that I can pull the menu type what I need and scroll WITH the menu still open and available to me I hope Im not asking for too much     Please fix this app

I really wish the developers of this app would take their customers feedback more seriously Aside from spending a tremendous amount of money for my college etext this app is more costly when compared to the amount of precious study time I waste while attempting to use it The app is extremely unresponsive It takes an unacceptable amount of time to highlight text It kicks me out and closes more often than not I am highly disappointed I will not recommend this app to anyone nor will I ever purchase another book from this company who obviously could care less about their customers     This has the potential of being an awesome app

Like the title says this app is very tempermental If the app is running in the background and you click on its icon the app will not open If you have the app running in the background and switch screen orientation the app will not open Highlighting is messy at best especially if the text has additional notes on the side of the main paragraphs Also if you purchase a book that is supposed to have an access code for the publishers website you will not get this code which can create major problems The app does work but not nearly as well as it should        Very Tempermental

The app did crash at the beginning But I updated my iPad and reopened it after the app crashed once With out deleting the app from my recent used apps I reopened it and now works fine           Crashed at start now is fine

I used to be able to read my rented textbooks offline which is vital for nonwifi areas Since being forced to use this app with CafeScribe being broken now I am unable to use offline This seriously cripples my study time and the app takes forever to turn pages Absolutely unacceptable     Offline Support

Terrible platform Yes your text books may be cheaper with the Ebooks but that money saved equals plenty of frustrations It crashes constantly you have a limited amount of copypaste for your notes because I gave up trying to write notes IN the book it takes forever to highlight anything because it glitches so often and it randomly kicks you off for being inactive Im not exaggerating it kicked me off for being inactive WHILE I was highlighting I am extremely frustrated that Ive paid over 70 to rent a book I can hardly read     Dont do it
