For casual monitoring of messages and markets it s an acceptable add on to the terminal but when attempting to do more the app falls short While there are some useful enhancements with the latest release better access to monitors security page it has removed some good functionality linking market pages to home screen IB notification on home screen news layout on tablet organization of news consolidated home screen of market message news and made some naive blunders 5 year Treasury as benchmark for the bond market Today home screen Terminal mode on tablet is clunky and Apple keyboard overlays many key areas especially when messaging In 3 hours of use today I experienced the one crash a completely blank screen Developer appears to be shifting focus to phone users over tablet Talking with one sales coverage today he would be ditching the app in favor of Surface and the full version Essentially despite its ease of access vs the full version on a laptop Surface there are too many short comings to the app when attempting to do real work I have passed along usage comments to my Bloomberg coverage app feedback         Newest Version Shows Continual Movement Away From Understanding Users jgreenert

This update for IPad was terrible They completely redid the interface and look and everything I had saved was gone I would never have downloaded the new look had I known I can not replicate the screen I had even after calling the mobile help line and the user interface is not intuitive I agree with other reviews that the Today screen is useless I am extremely annoyed with this product and the way the new look was rolled out     Terrible Update for IPad Icarus kid

I use Bloomberg s app at home on my iPad for work Recently every update adds enhancements that aren t useful and get the way The Today screen feature is useless On top of that my security monitors become more and more unstable with each update If Bloomberg keeps moving in this direction I m going have to fire up my clunky laptop         Moving backwards Torpedo8

The today screen is slightly better than its initial version but still is obnoxious I have a tile for news tied to my ticker list on the today screen but it doesn t show just the news It seems filtered as there are significantly less stories than on my screen I have no real idea how it chooses to filter the news which I already have filtered anyway because it s my ticker list Also there is no option to see my ticker list stock price screen directly on the today screen Pricing information is mostly global benchmarks So as before the today screen is 90 things that Bloomberg for some reason thinks interest me when it s almost always useless         Not sure why they keep pushing this really weak today screen NCLens

Folks you have to pay for this service It s about 2300 a month with exchange fees but that s what it takes to play in the pro s For those who don t understand this app is a perk for Bloomberg Terminal users who are investment professionals Tip of the spear Not your pappy s stock broker peddling mutual funds but but people who actually drive the capital markets every day I wish everyone could enjoy news that doesn t include mindless adverts and hype about the Kardashians or nonsense about Trumps hair This app and the Bloomberg service isn t about driving ad dollars It s about delivering information for real professionals who are gladly willing to pay for it These days all of you have allowed advertising to corrupt your content and your perception of what really is news Here we get the real deal In plain amber fonts without even photographs It s not sexy and we like it that way Like the old days The only suggestion I have for the developers is to make the app more like the Bloomberg Terminal service Make it as close to that experience as possible I ve been a Bloomberg subscriber since 1993 That s about 650 000 I ve paid in fees for the service And I ll keep on paying until it stops making me money                 This is how you do an app hamcap

I downloaded this after the new update to the free version which allowed you to manage your portfolio and get portfolio info and news by industry and leaders laggers This is not the app that replaces it They don t even bother to even TRY to sell you it They don t even show you what you will get if you purchase at an undisclosed price Huh It appears the product manager and the marketing people both need to be fired A simple notification to the free customer base using a 30 to 60 day notification of the advising us the free portfolio management tools under the watchlist under the simpler app was going to be removed if we didn t start to pay in 30 to 60 days I think would ve gone over a lot better than completely removing it without any notification and leaving us all hanging out to dry without any way to take care of our portfolios the next day So many of us by the reviews already posting have gone over to this app to see if that s where Bloomberg has hidden the watchlist tools that we used to use in the free app Obviously not And obviously we have to now pay for them for which they refused to disclose what the prices or the features So am I going to go ahead and buy without knowing price or features or am I going to go to a provider who honors truth in advertising Obviously the product manager that did this doesn t even have a stock portfolio to understand that you need to continue to manage your portfolio If they kept the app the same and instead gave us a 60 day notice to purchase and retain the same features or better features I bet you 90 of your customer base would have said yes easily Instead you trashed the other free app and then only give us this app as a choice without even telling us what we will get if we decide to pay for an undisclosed price What idiot is running your product and dev team I have been in product management in the financial industry for over 30 years I have been around before the technology apps and since the technology apps I would never ever ever do what Bloomberg has done to the non paying app and their customer base with no recourse to the users of the app or offering an option to pay with at least 30 to 60 days notice No brains no thought just agile action millennial product manager Guess your going to lose any of that potential ad click revenue     Pay version now Widget cool

This app works perfectly I use it with touch ID which is better then using your B Unit obviously I am usually on my terminal but the full functionality is there Of course the homescreen is optimized for your phone so you probably will not use this to chart multiple securities When you login here its logs your terminal off Also you will get calls from customer service if you forget your b unit 24 7 so that 2am call is coming from overseas lol I get my notifications for various features daybook etc exactly when they come out The price is 2500 a month but actually its free with your bloomberg anywhere membership I would not pay more then 1000 a month for just the app i only use it once in a while but anyone in finance already has a terminal so just make sure you have a bloomberg anywhere terminal Its nice to stay connected like when you re at the airport or stuck in traffic                     Works great Eden Torres
