The Birds Lite by National Geographic is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at a hefty 107 MB, so make sure you have plenty of free space on your iOS device. The new Birds Lite by National Geographic app version 1.0 has been updated on 2014-11-23. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Here is the app`s compatibility information: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. This is a GREAT app for backyard bird watching I wanted a book but my husband talked me into an app and I love it I like the Merlin bird id but it has no way to note the birds you have seen This app lets you identify and keep track of the birds you see I will probably buy the full version app at some point but for now this has all I need Great app
I downloaded it but no icon appeared so I went to the App Store and hit the OPEN box No dice Complete failure it appears Wont Open
Great app for a lite version Good bird descriptions range maps and quality sounds that they make I will be buying the full version No if they can do they same for North American mammals insects etc Great App
Great app for amateur bird watchers Within minutes of using I had identified 9 species in my backyard Really easy to use and educational Outstanding
Looks good no landscape mode the list function is useless If the Lite version represents the paid version save you money Ill continue to carry there book but this app stinks buy the book not the app

Downloaded 1125 on 71215 deleted 1130 Since when is a Baltimore oriole or northern oriole not under Orioles nor under the search colors of orange and or black This was just one example of items that cant be looked up with their color search nor their name search Otherwise app works but not that well Maybe it works better if you pay for it But why would you want to take that chance Not complete
It is a really good app for making bird houses and for attracting more birds to your yard I wanted to have lots of chickadees in my back yard and it told me what size to make the bird house hole Nice

This is such a cool app I love hearing all the sounds that each different bird makes and that the males sound so much different than the females Fun app
And surprisingly it works Works pretty well
