Post Nov 11 2015 update fantastic Really Way to go whoever was responsible All nice touches Earlier review updated a little Very good app though every now and then some strange freeze up only fixable by deleting and re downloading Maybe turning phone off on woulda fixed it Dunno Switching how I was holding iPhone to landscape orientation then back to portrait position cleared it up last time Simple But overall great app I m on an iPhone 5 runnin iOS 8 1 3 I think it is held off on iOS 8 2 and 8 3 upgrades                     Excellent Wow 11 11 15 update Infodork

This has been my go to Bible on both the iPad and my iPhone for years and it has rarely let me down But I noticed a glitch with the NLT in that the verses won t highlight so I went to the website That s when I noticed that the latest version is 5 4 and my app is still at 5 1 6 on both devices Further the website is totally unresponsive except for showing my notes What s going on             Love this Bible But Just my 2 cents

I LOVE this and use it every day but I am having trouble with the daily readings which require Internet I always get the message that I am not connected to the internet but I am through both wifi and cellular This feature has always worked for me before so I am confused why it doesn t work now Is this a bug that needs fixing Please help                 Having some trouble jocelynkm

I have never submitted a review of any product or app before however feel compelled to do so with this app This app has been life changing for me To have always at my side the complete bible in a very convenient and readily accessible form on my iPhone without having to carry around the actual book itself has dramatically simplified my daily bible study The ability to quickly and effortlessly change from one version to the next and to quickly jump to referenced passages has helped me to achieve a deeper understanding of the scriptures even ones that had been previously confusing The ability to easily and conveniently bookmark passages and take notes with the note taking feature has allowed me to be more organized in my study efforts This app is so easy to use and of course always keeps your place for you enabling you to pick up and start reading right where you left off even if you have only a few minutes here or there throughout the day to read it I have never experienced a failure in the app to work properly and OS upgrades and even transfers to new iPhones have taken place flawlessly even my notes and bookmarks have always been preserved and maintained This app has been so helpful in my efforts to read study and understand the bible that I wish everyone could also have it and likewise benefit from it I have given all of my family members this app as a gift in hopes that it can do for them what it has done for me Hopefully it can do the same for you God bless                     Everyone should have this app Jurva 123

I have played with a few other Bible apps but have not found one that has all the translations I want as well as languages in one And now with the iPad and being able to see two Bibles side by side it is amazing                     Best Bible App 053phil

Was really hoping to be able to write a nice review for any app that promotes reading the Bible But this is not the one Must say I m a bit disappointed Can t always depend on the borders going away after tapping the screen and the minimize maximize function rarely works Those are like the two most important things when trying to read a Bible passage imo Also sometimes it book marks my passage if I m kicked out of the screen due to time or whatever And other times I have to go look up the verses again Makes it a bit cumbersome when trying to follow a sermon while in church I would recommend shopping around a bit before settling on this app Hopefully the authors are looking at some serious upgrading and soon Disappointed overall         Tons of glitches iphonetics

this application as these are my two favorite versions of the Bible But I am having trouble with a couple of things The words of Christ are not in red nor will they go to red or any of the offered colors when I try thru settings and it will not automatically go to landscape mode tho I have it set to do so It was not as intuitive as a free bible download I have I am hoping for improvement in future updates It is a very expensive application to have these problems             I wanted to love mom and grandma

Ok right off the bat it s not Olive Tree Bible software and if that s what you re expecting you ll be let down But here s the thing youll be let down A LITTLE For the money this is a great remedial Bible app For 30 you get a LOT The KJV with Strong s is excuse me FREE with the app as are quite a few other references The Byzantine Greek text is also yours for the taking Nice touch Admittedly the interface is a little clunky The search function is underpowered I need my Boolean tools It feels like they kind of rushed to get it out but I for one am glad they did And it s entirely possible that from this platform this app can become every bit as good as that other one As a looong time OTBS user I freely admit I love this app and I m very glad I got it                     It s not Olive Tree Ironchef Hawaiian

I tried out several different Bible applications and this one was by far the best of them all I love the ability to highlight and make notes The split screen is really nice when I can have the NIV on the top screen and the NIRV on the bottom screen so that I can more easily explain scriptures to my children It s also great to be able to search by key words in case you want to find a passage of scripture but can t remember where to look I would give this application more than 5 stars if it were possible                     This Bible application is outstanding blessedbeingmom

Thank you for completing my spiritual life with this amazing app Truly it s the best of best bible app available Suggestions if possible i d like to re order my bookmarks notes particularly in the folders When you have more than 30 bookmarks it s really a hassle to reenter all of them just because you need certain verse to go ahead of others And occasionally to redirect the bible study flow with different people thru all those bookmarks I m loving the yearly reading plan Just wondering if the markings can be by chapters only on top of by dates So that in case you are on the run and won t be able to finish all 3 or 4 chapters You can still mark it down at which chapter did you finished and continues on later Thanks for considering about these in the future updates Please keep up the great work May God continues to inspire and work among you guys to benefit all these users to walk closer with Him                     Truly worth the money CuteLover7

Lots of ways to customize Does do highlighting despite comment by another reviewer Just tap the verse number and up pops a menu to highlight in one of 5 colors Can change fonts and size Scroll by up down with finger slide Chapter forward reverse by left right finger slide Can clear the screen of top bottom options by single tap in center returns with another tap Nice to have multiple books and can place side by side or top to bottom If you prefer one book but your church uses another during Bible study then you can switch from your favorite and read from it then go back to your favorite or have both open side by side Can store notes from Bible study Search feature is user friendly Selection of background colors menu colors etc This is a well thought out app that takes advantage of the iPod Touch or iPhone user interface No on line connection needed You can add more to it as time goes by It s nice to have the Bible with me in such a small package Now I have my Bible in places I normally wouldn t carry it Waiting at the doctor s office or sitting in the car waiting on Johnny to finish practice You can just pull it out and read Very handy I have used another electronic Bible for many years in my PDA and even though it is nice I find this app so much nicer with many more features Finally the version with NIV The Message and ERV along with TNIV and NIRV consume less than 26MB on my 8GB iPod Touch This equates to 10 or 12 songs You do not need to worry about the space required on your device I strongly suggest you take less than 10 of the cost of an 8GB iPod Touch and buy this app                     Multiple Features Multiple Books Maps Commentaries Easy to Use Customize Expandable Mr Roger D

Emailing notes truncates after so many characters useless and includes ALL notes not merely one note So when I want to email a note to my Evernote address it starts with Genesis 1 1 then cuts off what I really want to send Like a cruel joke a tease Would also like folders for bookmarks to categorize organize Mantis has better interface but not TNIV So I got this Can t really recommend unless lack of TNIV a deal breaker         Emailing notes good idea awful execution JavaAddict

I have been waiting for this app since I got my iPod touch The free versions are great but not when you don t have WiFi It is hard to find a Bible app that includes the versions I wanted but BibleScope has done it All the features are great too Everything from daily reading to total customization I can t wait to see what new features they come out with in the future                     Awesome Bible rrl98a

This app has some nice features I m really enjoying the daily reading and the commentaries It still has a number of bugs and the developer needs to work on its performance It really is quite sluggish when switching between versions             Good but buggy .netguru

DOES WORK FOR ME My screen name was a mistake when I did my first review don t know how to change it I have several bible apps on my iPhone Now I can get rid of most of them because this app has almost everything I need The only thing I m missing is the ability to highlight text I researched this app before purchasing it and I thought it had highlighting But I guess I went through so many apps that I got confused If this feature could be added it would be the perfect 5 star app The split screen is awsome I love comparing 2 versions without having to keep switching between the two Its amazing how you can read and scroll each side seperately The commentary is also a great addition and being able to read the bible verse and review the commentary on the split screen is GREAT I was going to purchase a new bible because somehow during my aging process the writing in my bible seems to be disappearing I kinda stopped reading it because I had to wear reading glasses to see the text and my reading glasses aren t always readily available I find myself in church turning to the verse but either listening to the pastor read his visable verse reading it on the big screen or pretending I could see it LOL A new bible was way overdue But I can see the text on this app just fine and if I can t there s a bigger text option Also I always have my phone with me so I can read study or review the bible where ever I am Sometimes at work we get into discussions about the Word and now I don t have to run to my car get my small text bible find my glasses and read or verify what we were discussing I was going to purchase a good bible and it was going to cost me from 30 50 I wouldn t have had all the different versions NIV KJV TNIV ect and I wouldn t have had the commentary to go with it I m very pleased with my purchase and have already started putting it to good use I know that once I show this app to my Christian co workers and friends that have a iPhone they ll want to download it Hopefully the price won t stop them Its worth so much more Please consider adding the highlighting feature I m a big bible highlighter Oh and Big up s to being a offline bible saving my battery and being able to use it when internet is not available                 Great Bible App Just Me and My Opinion

This app does everything I need in a bible app The search feature is great and I love the full screen viewing of text Another great little addition is the background and font changer That s a feature I really enjoy This app is a little expensive and load time needs to be a little faster That s the only reason I gave 4 stars I am being real picky on that though so buy it you ll love it                 Great Bible App D Graves

I ll explain the title of my review at the end This is a great feature rich bible application and I particularly like the fact that many different translations are available at the touch of the screen including the NIV and my favourite the TNIV Yes it is the most expensive bible app and it is indeed one of the most expensive applications in the app store but you have to consider that this program utilizes copyrighted versions of the bible for which the programmer would have had to pay for Many scholars have worked tirelessly to produce these accurate translations of the bible If you were to buy printed versions of all these bibles you wouldn t get much change from a couple of hundred bucks so in reality this is great value for money and is actually cheaper than many computer bible programs that have less features than this Not only do you get multiple bible translations but there are also downloadable study guides and reading plans Also the scrolling through the text on screen is wonderfully smooth I am actually rewriting my previous review of this application and increasing my star rating from three to four The recent update has fixed the bugs with screen rotation and now with the flick of your finger across the screen you can now advance to the next or previous chapter a very welcome fix If I were to be really picky I d rather that these features could work a little more smoothly they feel a little clunky and slow to respond but this really is minor as they do work adequately I really do like the wheel spin book and chapter search and I certainly wouldn t change this at all However I would like also see a verse search engine too as this would be useful in a bible study group or in church Maybe just having a verse jump to feature like the alphabet down the side of your iphone contacts list will be sufficient All in all this is an excellent bible application No matter where I am I can access the word of God Once this refined and bug free I m sure this will become a five star app A must for any iphone owning Christian or student of the bible Anyway to explain my review title I recently returned from a trip and due to the ever reduced baggage limits on planes these days I decided that I don t need to take my printed bible as I have the bible on my phone now and I could use the space to carry something else I visited a local church on the Sunday of my trip and used biblescope setting my phone to airplane mode so it wouldn t ring in church of course I heard a muttering from a woman seated behind me going on about putting the bible on a cell phone is insulting to the Lord The word was meant to be in a book It s sacrilege Oh well I believe Tyndale had similar comments in 1500s when he first translated the bible into English from the Latin so whoever made this app you are in good company                 It s sacrilege I tell you Brit_in_LA

I ve been looking for THE Bible app for me My primary criteria are that it have NIV and the Message and that they be on the phone not over the network This release does still have some bugs and room for interface polish but the split screen is awesome and I m very happy with the whole app                     Perfect once some of the bugs get stomped QZG

Smooth scrolling and simple interface with lots of options Did I mention the smooth scrolling It makes for a distraction free reading experience which is exactly what you want when you re reading the Bible Yes there are some minor touchups to the presentation hiding the title bar etc but the developer will email you back when you write him so I m not worried about it I know the app will continue to get refined over time Best Bible app I ve found I recommend it                 Best Bible app I ve found yet WesJansen

To the developer I am also experiencing the rotation problem It seems to have started after loading firmware 2 2 Also everytime I open it it goes to Gen 1 1 I thought that before 2 2 it returned to where it was when it was shutdown                     Best Bible app to date Airmann
