App worked for about 10 minutes Thought it was awesome then it crashed Should have took the other reviews advice and not got it Now its pretty much useless     Useless

This app has not worked once since the new iOS update I have an iPad mini and I cannot get past the developer splash page Really great stuff Useless and frustrating     Useless after ios8

Just purchased this less than 20 minutes ago Was working on an amp and it just quit to a black screen that said positive grid Please fix     Was working

So if you buy this on your iPad you cant install it on your phone I guess if I had bough this on my phone I could have installed it on my iPad Jam up is a universal app Also the app often freezes up or just plain wont go past the splash screen until you delete and reinstall     Total rip off

I have had to contact support because this app crashes like crazy Seems to be more reliable if use via JamUp Pro When it works its awesome It does have a lot of potential and Im looking forward to the fix Support is working on an update and I will update my review then           Waiting for update

Awesome app but running the most recent version of Bias on iOS81 on both my iPad Air and my iPhone 6 is giving me big problems with the amp selection On both platforms the Factory and Custom amp sections freeze up and wont let me scroll through the sections or amps nor select any of them The rest of the app works fine however but I can only select an amp once and only after i do a factory reset Scrolling through amps and selecting one works for a single time only untill i fully quit the app again or do another factory reset I tried reinstalling the app quiting all other apps reseting my devices but nothing fixes the issue Please fix since it makes switching amps an absolute nightmare and kills the joy i had with this app until recently Not sure if its the latest version of BIAS or iOS8 that is causing this bug Anyone else having this issue                 Great app but needs another fix

Great app but needs a fix asap Select an amp type and you are no longer able to select another unless you force the app to quit This should be part of the basic regression tests for every release        Buggy version

If you want the best sound possible from your idevice this is the way to go Top JamUp This thing is incredible and Im not Bias As if there was any need to perfect the tones in JamUp BIAS does that and then some One has never been able to manipulate amps and tones like this Im in awe of how good this app is Positive Grid is is insane intelligent friendly and makes top quality perfect apps Some times there is a glitch but they are responsive and quick to fix If anyone thinks the original analog sounds cant be recreated with this and JamUp you are missing out I do CTCAT scans for a living And when the Xray beams are transferred into an analog signal before they are directed to the analog to digital converter well there is no loss of information to digital The detail in the imaging is incredible All Im trying to say is ya its all digital but it freakin smokes and the soundtones are there to proove it Word                 How could You

Update 5 June 2015 Positive Grid just added the ability to download my amp match tones from Bias Desktop to Bias iOS Now I have the go to app for all my recording needs and practice needs I no longer have to haul my Marshall rig to practice It still goes to gigs I no longer have to rely on a modeler that relies on what the app designer thinks the amps should sound like rather than what they really sound like Thanks Positive Grid Most of the iOS guitar amp modelers are not that great Bias on the other hand is easy to dial in If you know just a bit about how a particular amp is designed and how it sounds you can come close However if you are on the edge of distortion the decay is a bit harsh Meaning that you can intermittently loose signal By far though this modeler performers just as good if not better than my Line 6 Pod HD 500 When used with Jamup pro you get a powerful recording tool The upside is that if you are using the Desktop Pro version you can dial in amp matching and then share the model back to the iOS version              Best Amp Modeler

Like everyone else bias is no longer working Freezes and locks up after selecting an amp then selectors and interface freeze Please fix soon     Messed up

Been using this for just over a week with JamUp Pro XT also bought expansion packs tweaking my life away here and making a good use out of my iPAD at leastgreat job positive grid Although a tuner would be much appreciated too thanks ahead Hint hint                 Awesome

This app has great sounds but I would like lower latency or at least more control over setting the latency values instead of just normal and low I realize they are trying to keep this simple and prevent people from experience pops and clicks but a noticeable delay prevents these simulations from feeling very realistic and cant be compared to playing with the real amps it attempts to emulate I have an iPad Air and a Line6 Sonic Port and I feel I can get better latency performance if the option was available I can get 2ms of latency on the MobilePod app with no problems at all           Great tones Would like lower latency

I love jam up and the way it functions along w its features but this app is garbage It wont even start to begin with I wish they could fix this so that I can say its outta sight but Ive trying to get it to work for a month not and nothing Really wish there was a negative rating for this smh     Not worth yo cash

Like their jamup pro it only works with headphonesexternal speakers 90 of the time and none of the settings seem to give me control of this Unplug headphones and you can see the monitor responding to your guitar but no sound no matter what you do Thats the main frustration Using an apogee jam on an iPad4 It claimed to be fully customizable but theres quite a lot behind IAPs again like JamUp Pro Lots of potential but since it doesnt reliably work it keeps me from buying any more content and rarely gets used in my recordings        Only works with headphones

I thought JamUp was the last guitar amp modeling app I would ever need How wrong I was Bias is a powerful tool and a great addition to JamUp                 Monster

This is a great sounding app but please include an option to disable the mic I like to use the app with headphones and dont want to hear the ambient noise              Sounds great but need an option to disable the mic

I am having the same problem as a previous reviewer Once I started using the app the amp selection disappeared and now the app will no longer open The short time I got to use the app it worked fine and sounds great although the first EQ section does in the chain does not seem to work very well it does not add or take away any EQ frequencies whatsoever Im really looking forward for this app to work as well as it seems that it can This app has the potential to be the very best that musicians can get 20 for an app seems like a lot of money but considering the value and the money we save on equipment this is awesome please make us proud              Please fix

I must say I love this app jamup and bias desktop but the iOS versions keep freezing Definitely needs another fix The November 17 update didnt fix the issue              App still freezing

Picked this up for 50 off just because I have spent far too much money on jamup pro This app is worth every penny full price and if you see it on sale pick it up I am an audio engineerguitarist I own an AxeFx II and have owned an Eleven Rack not to mention my personal amps I use both a positive grid 34 interface jack for the phone and a Focusrite ITrack Dock and after using this app I will be purchasing the plugin and using this for my tones This allows you to tweak the amps like in an axefx but in a more musical way not a tech geeky way Also being able to export the amps here into jamup pro soooo cool                 No Brainer Deal

A 5Star App that as recent reviews state simply does not function in IOS 8 I hate something like this to ruin the rating of such a stellar musical tool So putting in my 2cents as 5stars for the moment I will return to subtract 4stars in a month if nothing has changed That would be very sad                 BIAS is a 5 App

I love this app because it gives me so much flexibility in how I practice and play I can get very serious when I combine it with other apps and feed into a beautifully clean amp link it to a set of tracks to experiment or I can simply play into headphones while sitting in a hotel room Love it One issue it appears I need to buy another copy to put it on my iPhone Is this true It would be handy to have for traveling but on principle it aggravates me to buy a second copy              This is amazing on so many levels

Something initially I want to make clear Bias and Jam Up are impressive Here is my pain I sold a loved Taylor Acoustic Guitar and got a Fender Telecaster GuitarToday Just for the opportunity to play an electric guitar using my until now favorite guitar amp simulator Only to learn do not update just yet REALLY           HELP ME UNDERSTAND

I own most of the amp modelers for IOS The best of them to my ear is JamUp Pro I thought that would be it until I discovered BIOS This is by far the coolest and most useful guitar tool I own Now Im able to get a truly signature sound and the fact that I can custom design and name each amp is an added bonus After designing an amp I can launch it in Jam Up and save it along side the other amp presets So now not only do I get most of the vintage modern and boutique amps I want now I can create my ultimate sound                 Amazing Flexibility and Tone

Just bought expansion pack and find it is not working Cannot select amps or do anything Can I get my 5 dollars back     Not working

When it works it is awesome But since iOS 8 it is full of bugs I am getting tired of uninstalling and reinstalling the software just to have it finally fail to launch at all The Positive Grid support team asks me to be patient but I have lost hours of work in both Bias and Jam Up Pro due to bugs reinstalls failed patch backups lost presets etc I think they are pushing Bias Desktop and slacking on fixing the many bugs in their other programs Love it when it works Just wish it did on a consistent basis           Great On Paper

BIAS is the best sounding modeling guitar amp on any platform not just iPad But since the day it was released I wanted to do power ampcab only configurations For about a year and a half I have been recording my MESA Boogie Triaxis preamp using the Tube Power amp model in Jam Up Pro Recording guitar preamps direct is notoriously difficult Its a model of the MESA Boogie 2020 which just happens to be the real preamp in my rig The recordings have been great but I have wanted more options Now PositiveGrid has allowed one to unlock the signal chain in BIAS which means I get new power amps and cabinets for my Triaxis recordings YEAH Most importantly I will be experimenting with this setup to learn what power amp and cabinets I should purchase to upgrade my rig BIAS is truly a professionals tool The one limitation I find is that I cant use it for stereo signals I actually run my Triaxis through a TC Electronic GForce effects processor which outputs in stereo then into the stereo 2020 power amp So when I record I must use two iPads running the left channel into one and the right into another I have two Roland Duo Capture EX interfaces for the iPads Then I capture the output of JamUpBIAS into my DAW using AudioBus for one side and capture the other side by running the output from one Duo Capture into the input of the other Duo Capture On the iPad where I am recording I then capture that input in the DAW and voila Stereo effects My ardent hope is that the soon to be released BIAS for desktop computers will allow multiple instances that way I can record in stereo much more directly                 The Update Ive Been Waiting For

I must say with the release of another Bias app at 20 it does seem a little like Positive Grid has become Positively Greedy So I guess all the money spent in JamUp JamUpPro and Bias Amp makes one an Angel Investor At best and that is being generous Positive Grid should only have two apps and they should be called 1 Bias Jam and 2 Bias Jam Pro Anything Everything short of that is a bill of goods        Now What FX

JamUp is a terrific app and a great guitar sim and when BIAS came out I wasnt sure what hole it was trying to fill that wasnt already in JamUp Well now I know JamUp is great but when it comes to amp models and they are very good ones you get what you get with a few knobs to tweak In contrast BIAS lets you build an amp model from the ground up either from scratch or starting with presets that you can then tweak to your hearts content And by tweak I dont mean a few knobs for gain lows mids and highs You can pick and choose virtually every little thing as if you were building your own piece of hardware And if that sounds like it might be too complicated to be fun like I originally thought trust me its not The interface is genius and there are plenty of helpful video tutorials online to help get you started Most importantly the sounds produced are incredible and I do mean incredible Virtually indistinguishable from real amps even real tube amps Its apps like this that convince me that amp modeling is truly the future in fact an app like BIAS makes me realize that the future is already here And to think JamUp and BIAS are still basically in their infancy what kind of quality are they going to be displaying on better hardware and more updates in say 5 more years 20 for what this app does is the bargain of the century Just 10 short years ago you couldnt buy a practice amp with even half the quality or versatility for under 200 Ive been using this amp for hours daily ever since I got it and Ive barely cracked the surface Used in conjunction with JamUp its the dream practice setup and the sounds quality is so good I wont hesitate to use it live In fact I cant wait to do just that                 Absolutely incredible

I am so tired of app developers pushing out buggy patches that break their whole app Just leave it alone when it is working Cant select any amps at this point Selection screen is stuck Save yourself the money and get a professional tool     They cant seem to get it right

I dont write reviews often but this app is a great leap forward in modeling technology not only in sound but in amp creation this thing will go from clean to insanity with multiple stops along the way you have endless parameters to help shape your sound I hope to see this type of thing adopted into other companies who are striving to capture the magic of real hardware The sound is great the customization is also great this program however has started freezing in a bad way the kind of freeze where you have to delete and reinstall and in part lose a lot of what you have built but again this company seems to really get what we are looking for and they are pushing the envelope and the pricing is very fair I hope to see people support companies like this ultimately it helps our own future these are great tools Rock on                 League of its own

this review is about reliability I dont know if its because of the version but this app crashes and then gets stuck on the loading screen The only way to get the app to work again is to delete it from your device and to reinstall I hope they can fix it soon or else it will be a waste of money     Crashing and not loading

I enjoyed your app but after a few weeks with no Audiobus update I ended up switching to Tonestack from Yonac which works perfectly with audiobus as well as Auria I know its a pain but Im not about to go back to IOS 7 because some developers dont want to upgrade Its not working well with Auria as an inline plug in either Please fix asap        Update time gents

Wish I had read the reviews before I purchased I had the amp issue first but reinstalled and it was fixed Now I have a clipping distortion issue with all the amps Something is messed up with the input The levels look good but clip Turn down the signal and then there is no sound Totally useless Oddly a ing the same issue with the flip top amp in amplitude that I recently purchased Rest of jam up works fine Hope a fix comes soon     Update needed

Its useless until the update comes Having said that its a brilliant productapplication While limited to only producing various Amp tones it absolutely beats out its contemporaries Ive played Amplitube GuitarRig Waves CLA Guitars which is quite good and Pod Farm overall favorite What this app does that is so special is its ability to reproduce the natural air that amps project inside and outside their enclosure Its such a good app that I would likely be giving it a rating of 5 stars if this version of the app was stable As it is now its unplayable v2 amendment to previous review So the guys at Positive Grid have gotten the interface to stop freezing at start up but now the presets that help you start out with creating your own tones have mysteriously disappeared I added a star because of the effort If this is happening to anyone else please include in your review I dont mind glitches when apps are free or even a couple of dollars But for 20 this sort of stuff should be worked out before release           THIS APP NEEDS AN UPDATE v2

I dont know why sometimes i cant use the back button when im in tone cloud searching for bass amps When this happens to me i have no choice but to end the app Seems it needs fix              Bug

Nice tones and interface A bit of a different approach with the amp configuration options which is nice While I commend PGs development efforts their line of amp mod apps is confusingly redundant           Nice tones confusing product line

Bias amps ported to jamup do not currently work I advised positive grind and they related the following The statements made by them bellow DO NOT fix the issue statement by customer support Everything is currently working as it should Not all amps are available in Bias but JamUp XT is currently working on all of my iOS devices Please try a fresh install and restore your purchases and see if that helps Support Positive Grid end statement The issue is there as others state in other reviews For me ANY amp ported from bias to jamup makes jamup stop all output sound I also got this reply statement by customer support Also we are aware of the EQ block in Bias preventing sound in JamUp Bypass and all will be well Support Positive Grid end statement Saying an issue does not exist doesnt stop it from happening Its to bad too I honestly love jamup and bias but its unusable for me now as it is and they seem to refuse to admit the problem needs fixing To bad So until a proper fix which makes this useable I will have to lower my rating to a one I have about every in app purchase available also A great alternative is the new Tonestack guitar amp app by Yonac I highly suggest getting that or Ampkit instead for now Old review follows This is perhaps one of my top guitar amp apps The tone is great I guess in the last update it no longer works with Bias I use Bias amps and no longer can There is no sound with any Bias amp now Its been long enough to fix the problem so Here is the deal I will update my rating when this is fixed I have about every in app purchase also Update Bias no longer works with Jamup Until jamup gets fixed my rating will be lowered Its been long enough for a fix to the problem Jamup and Bias linked put them as an over the top guitar amp app They need to fix this Read bellow for my review when both worked Now both are stand alone apps again I guess the only way now is to audiobus them with each other which is a short term bandaid to the problem with the last jamup patch I have about every amp sim synth daw drum app etc out for ipad I am a music app junkie Bellow is a list of my go to guitar amp apps I am also a tube amp lover all I have are tube amps most hand built and I am a purest for pedals only normally Nothing replaces a good tube amp and pedalboard Nothing I play mainly fender strats and telecasters martins and gibson for hollowbodys So most of my playing on these apps are from an older American fender strat Jamup Amp kit Flying haggis Stomp box Bias Any I didnt list that are out I dont use There are a few I didnt list and I have tried them all As of the date I wrote this review If a guitar amp sim is out but not listed I dont recommend it Now For some reason I just keep using bias more often now Thats without saving to jamup If I want effects I use bias and pipe it into jamup or ampkit via audiobus All of the ones listed are good and have their own sound I am just more of a bias sound lover I guess Oh I have to mention I do like thd overloud on auria It is outstanding also You honestly cant go wrong with bias and jamup Flying haggis is a great price and nice with most essentials but less variety its great that way though Pure Ampkit is great sounding and has many amps and pedals but will cost but well wort it Stomp box is different rack mount with many effects very neat Thd overloud is an auria plugin and very nice too I just dont always play through auria For pure ipad amp sound though I have to say for some reason my ear tends to lean to Bias as my best sounding amp app Now I think my favorite mix is Bias for amp and ampkit for pedals I have most all in app purchases for jamup and ampkit and I tend to like the pedal variety and controls on ampkit more Ampkits controls for both amps and pedals are great and it does sound great also So Bias for amp sound and ampkit for pedals and ease of use and variety But hey Get them all If your low on cash get flying haggis It sounds good has all the essentials and costs less in the long run If you dont have audiobus get it now It is by far the most important music app in my book A few honorable mentions for outstanding music apps In no order Cubasis Auria GarageBand Meteor Audiobus Midiguitar MIDImorphosis Audiomastering Master fx Loopy hd Turnado Level 24 Alchemy Wavemaper Soundprism pro Animoog Nave Thumbjam Guitartapp Onsong Drumjam Dm1 And olivetree bible reading app For your salvation Number one app There are others I just think those are worth a look     Update broken no support

I wish I could give this negative stars hours trying to make it work only to realize that the input and output cancel each other If I use a USB connection I get no sound and it disables the volume control in my ipad if I plug my headphones in it switches to the builtin input source aka builtin mic thats the only time I get any audio out of it which is just noise from the mic No information or support provided about this issue bottom line I just threw 20 in the garbage Dont be me dont throw money in the garbage     Does not work properly

This is the guitar mod to have Some of the best tones out there Versatility and design is what i love about it The tones are beast that you can customize and tweak your own Well woth every penny I bought all of the Positive Grid Products cause there the best out there No complaints here Cant wait to play with it some more                 Killer Amp Modeling

Disclaimer Im not a guitarist I can play guitar but Im not well versed at it yet What I know is that I have just one real ampcab combo so I needed an app that could recreate different amps I bought JamUp Pro and I use it for guitar keys and vocals Definitely gives me the life venue sound that I want for certain songs When Bias came out I hesitated because I already had JamUp in my device so I thought I was set But when I saw that I could actually build a custom amp for my voice or an amp for iSEM another for Magellan etc I saw the light This would be my ticket to those sounds in my head and best of all the custom amp can be used inside JamUp to call out the other effects just brilliant So with these apps I have pretty much stopped looking for more FXs apps I have them all here                 A nonguitarist dream come true

I really wanted this app to work because it for the first few minutes you have with it it sounds amazing But as soon as you start playing with the amp models and options something happens Suddenly the base models are just gone So you exit the app and restart to find yourself frozen on the opening logo screen You can repeat this simply by customizing an amp and then trying to save it as one of the presets Poof instant death But for 20 the graphics look nice I do have iOS 8 most recent updates applied so it might be a compatibility issue Hopefully an update will be coming This would easily be a 5 star review if it just kept working because the sound and design is immaculate When it works        Click Crash Uninstall reinstall repeat

I just purchased this application as well as many others from their catalog and I cannot download or install this one at all Not sure it its a problem with their app or on Apples AppStore     Cant download it
